Yeahhhh it was about time to put in Heavy Harmonies this band!..i'm really happy about it(especially because i had the chance to see them live in the late 80's just 2 weeks before they release The Scattering )..the description of its musical genre is just fine!,not the purest AOR ever but this kind of music will appeal to the fans of it anyway...what can i say about this release..."(I've Just)Died In Your Arms" is a classic song of the 80's,"Any Color","One For The Mocking Bird","The Broadcast"(gosh how i love this track, for me the best in here),"I've Been In Love Before" is a mega ballad...just buy it because every song is a major hit!.100/100...!!!

Cutting Crew at last here! Two of my favorite songs of all-time are here: The famous "Iīve Just Died in your Arms"(what a love this song!!) and one of the most beautiful ballads called "Iīve been in Love Before"(mamma mia, what a peace of wonderful and beautiful song for Godīs sake!!). i have the extended version of "Iīve Been in Love Before" and itīs even better than this one. There are a couple of songs that are good ones but nothing like the rest. An Instant Classic Album. 9.5/10

Great Pop Rock/AOR/Melodic Rock Any Colour & One For The Mocking-bird(my 2 favs? 2 of my favs! if you need energy these are the songs!) (I've Just) Died In Your Arms (The Super Classic possibly my fav what a classic! Soundtrack in a lot of movies), The Broadcast(6:38 minutes of pure magic! ) I've Been In Love Before(very difficult to Immortal these lyrics very very difficult! but an Immortal enjoy with this music for humans too!) Life In A Dangerous Time (i love this Great song what a style!) It Shouldn't Take Too Long, Don't Look Back... the track 8 is "Sahara", i have Video Concerts, Demos & Unreleased, The Drivers(Nick Van Eede) etc but is another history, now 1 of the questions is where is Corey Hart? my rating? a classic and Great album! nuff said!!!

I remember sitting in a bar early in the morning with a bad hangover. Me and my mates were on a cruise and had been partying all night. I was basicly lying in an armchair when it suddenly striked me while dj was playing this song what a great song it was. I rised up from my chair and started to completely dig this song. what a great arrangement, solo is absolutely fantastic and the vocals are so good! I forgot about the headache, forgot about last nights sins. A few days later I ordered the album and found out it was a lost gem! 9/10 aor in its prime!

These guys are some of the best at what they do. Very well written songs, and played to perfection. The perfect mix of keyboards, guitars, and fantastic vocals. I think Cutting Crew was a very underrated band. They had so much talent, and that comes through in their fantastic songs!!! Can't say enough about how much I love this CD and they style of music it represents. Really a gem, indeed!!!

If my memory serves me they had a couple of big hits in America with 'I've Been In Love Before' and '(I've Just) Died In Your Arms' as they were in Britain, and they are fine songs, still played on the radio in Britain from time to time (thank heavens for Radio 2), but to my mind 'One For The Mockingbird' is a blinder. It's a fantastic album and matches the likes of Outfield, Mr Mister and Glass Tiger and their output easily.

Even if it is at the lite end of the scale for HH, it's great to see 'Broadcast' on these hallowed pages, and a rather nifty little disc it is too. Everyone by now must know the 2 huge hits off here '(I've Just) Died In Your Arms' & 'I've Been I Love Before', but there is more to this album than just those 2 songs. 'One for The Mockingbird' is Pop/rock par excellence and the title track and 'Sahara' are also a couple of excellent songs. Whenever UK AOR bands are mentioned, Cutting Crew never seem to get a mention for some reason, maybe because they lacked the edge of bands like FM, Atlantic, Virginia Wolf etc. and were considered more poppy than their contempories. Next time you do go down the UK AOR route, do yourself a big favour and check out 'Broadcast', as it is full to the brim of quality songs and performances.
