If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Cutting Crew CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from Cutting Crew are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

If you where a dude listening to a steady diet of the Cutting Crew in the 80's chances are those were your "Virgin Years". According to the band's wiki page they fall under the genre of pop rock/new wave. I don't remember any 80's AOR/Rock radio stations touching them with a ten foot pole. Their hit's like"(I Just) Died In Your Arms" were primarily played on Adult Contemporary and Top 40 stations. This is another artist IMO that doesn't belong here.

I would categorise them as Lite - AOR. They do deserve to be here. Also, the irony of Stallion's comments when the song Died in Your Arms is actually an analogy for the act of sexual orgasm.

@Auslander, I first got turned on to this site by listening to HH online radio station Live365 16+ years ago, which I assumed the owner programed the playlist. With a emphasis on "heavy" harmonies, as I don't recall hearing any lite AOR/pop on the playlist. As to me it seemed when the approved 3 Cher releases posted in (2009) the floodgates opened for more borderline lightweight bands being submitted and approved here. At that time (2009) I brought up to Dan that Billy's Idol discography wasn't even posted here. They were then posted shortly thereafter. So obviously if it's his site, it's up to his discretion of what goes and what is voted best of (2023) even if it doesn't fit in the HH mold. The well known band Roxette isn't posted here which is edgier than the Cutting Crew. Of course this debate would never occur on sites like Rock report, Sleaze Roxx, ect. so it's sort of funny. This post is putting me in the mood to put on my headphones and crank up some Mr. Mister (also on HH).
