Many well-known musicians here sharing their passions for TOTO. Nice and excellent Tribute indeed! well-produced, many people complain about Tiranti´s voice but he does a good job here as well as other names. I enjoy listening "Stop Loving You" "Hydra" "I'll Be Over".. Excellent job guys! 8.5/10 |

Ok this album is an almost "close to perfect" tribute..all done (or most of it,Timothy Drury is not Italian) by very famous and talented Italian musicians.."close to perfect" because obviously Toto has a very particular way of sounding and basically even though is very common that in a tribute album the most important thing is to sound as similar as the band that is being tributed but conserving some originality from the players, well sometimes you miss interesting details of facts that makes the music "magical" but anyway, the job they did is really well appreciated...these musicians did it excellently!..so buy now!.95/100 |

I've heard a few Toto covers over the years, but this is by far the best of the lot. It is a very difficult task to do a couple of Toto songs, never mind a whole albums worth, especially when you consider the musical shoes they have to fill. OK, they aren't on the same level as Lukather, Porcaro, Paich et all,(i'd like to see anyone try to copy note for note Lukather's solos or the Porcaro bros. 'Groove'), but they give it a damned good go. All these covers have a good feel about them, and whilst they aren't exact replicas, the arrangements are pretty close to the originals on most. Production is excellent (a must have on an album like this) and I also like the song choice, which covers all era's of the band. Being a MAJOR Toto fan, I did approach this disc with a certain amount of scepticism, but after hearing it all, I must say I came away mightily impressed, so high fives to all involved in this excellent project. |
