Great AOR/Melodic Rock album, Tony Mills is here then you will have Great music Lonely Nights, Let Love Rain Down, In My Blood, We Belong, Love Suicide regards to a friend the Legend of AOR... aorjocke, 90/100.

A big Rock-Magazin stated "This is the album Journey should have done." Seriuosly guys! To compare this album with Journey is a big joke! Journey made much better records long time ago! EVERY Journey album is better that this one. So what do we have here? Tony Mills' vocals get me on my nerves after a short time, 9 out of 10 songs start with a keyboard/piano-intro (not very creative), the production sucks, and then UNBREAK MY HEART! OMG! What were these guys thinking!? Absolutely a no-go! You sit here and wait for the killer-track, the big surprise, the catchy chorus or the songs that you wanna hear over and over again but nothing happens like that. All in all I am disappointed with this output.

SHY attacks again! hahaha.. nice and good MR/AOR, "We Belong" and "A Touch of Heaven" are my faves tracks, a bit repetitive in some moments but good anyway. 8.5/10

Just received my copy from NEH Records this week. And I have been playing this disc over & over again! This is a great AOR release and features one of the greatest voices of this genre Tony Mills. T.M's voice is in fine form and he does not disapoint. This is AOR at it's finest!

'The album Journey wish they had made' - Coffee spit all over my monotor (get my drift). Please get serious. On the otherside of things, some people are obviously put off with Tony Mills vox aswell reading reviews in various places, but I have never minded them to be honest and that certainly doesn't distract me one way or the other listening to this. This would have sounded alot better with a beefier sound to it, as it is very polite and lacks in the bottom end department. No big budget here I know, but no excuse for weak and feeble in my book. Negatives out of the way, there are a few nice tunes on here early on which I really enjoyed and just about make this a keeper, and I think the promise is there if another album were to ever appear (which I doubt to be honest), but on the downside again, it doesn't offer up anything remotely new to make it rise above the pile of average releases. Compared to some of the stuff coming out at the moment, this falls way way behind unfortunately.

Man...I REALLY want to like the bands that Tony Mills sings for but I can't get past any of the first songs on any of them. The music is really good in places but I always come to the same conclusion and that is that TM is the weak link. I believe this is a better effort than State of Rock where his timing is god awful. Maybe a better producer saves that record, I don't know. If you like TM, you'll like the recent discs. I can't get through them.

excelente teclados ... y bueno la voz del genial tony mills 7/10

From: Geoff Date: May 4, 2010 at 22:00
Yeah I agree with those who say Mills is the weak link here. Sure this is safe, unimaginative melodic rock / AOR, but that said these songs really aren't bad at all. In fact, I enjoyed most of them enough. I just don't like Tony Mills' voice or the fact he is everywhere these days. Big production job and better vocalist and you'd have a fine disc on your hands. As it stands, it's not too bad at all. Worth picking up for a good, cheap price.

Completely in line with Geoff. I never liked( and never will) Tony Mills voice. Cant understand why he is in so many projects these days. Those bands should ask a singer like Matt Alfonzetti instead. Now then you will hear a kiler melodic rock voice. Some nice tunes here to be found though.

Now with internet/blogs has not sense to comment discs IMO.BTW it's pleasant to listen to this kind of music now in 2010.This is a very good example like Shy now could play.Because this album is the consequence to "Excess all areas" release and I don't check this fact but it's possibile here there's some ex-Shy members....?

From: rick kerch vzla Date: May 6, 2010 at 18:12
Ok guys here's the point or better said this is the way i describe Tony Mills..SHY(awesome),PROJECT/VOICES OF ROCK/NORTHERN LIGHT and so on..(acceptable),TNT(shadowed),SERPENTINE(shadowed somehow but with more presence)and well as a solo artits he does whatever he wants..different points of view which i entirely respect as there are comments above with different angles of the matter, for me this is a quite pleasent release..sounds like old SHY???..at times but there is not the greatness of Excess All Areas and that's 4 sure..well the 80's were unique and hardly ever we will find a band or songs that remindes us of that excellent decade(there have been some exceptions of course but that's another issue)..the songs.."A Touch Of Heaven" a good one, quite progressive at certain parts,"Whatever Heartache" follows nicely..the highlights for me are "Lonely Nights",For The Love Of It All" wonderful ballad,"In My Blood","We Belong" this one proves Tony's vocals as is sung in high notes mostly...

From: rick kerch vzla Date: May 6, 2010 at 18:16
..."We Belong" is "his" song really,he sings it pleasently and to finish the album a wonderful interpretation of Toni Braxton's hit "Unbreak My Heart"...wheter you like it or not and being objective,Tony is still a great singer and of course, the years don't pass in vain and probably at times we can listen to him like he has lost the quality of his voices which is untrue...about the album, buy it and speak out!...92/100

From: rick kerch vzla Date: May 6, 2010 at 18:19
i mean the quality of his voice(i wrote "voices" sorry)...

From: z4roxx Date: May 7, 2010 at 12:39
I didn'y mean they sound like old Shy but the style is identically to "Excess all areas"-era(who I personally consider one of the greatest albums ever, maybe among the first 5).I don't hide that this band has an awesome name, too.

From: tomdwa Date: May 24, 2010 at 20:33
The first 2 songs of the cd are brilliant. The title track already is a classic for me, and "Whatever Heartache" is a deserved single. Always loved Tony Mills, and he is in full form here !

From: hair metal again Date: August 6, 2011 at 3:34
pretty good release by SERPENTINE and everything happens around Tony s voice!if you like his way of singing you won t be disappointed.i also liked the guitar work and i can see some talent in songwriting.highlights are "lonely nights","for the love of it all" and "fashion".good release
