Great CD. Buy it, it's worth what you pay for it.

Great cd. Bob Kulick is Bruce's brother. Bob is pretty much a hired gun in the music world and has worked with Paul Stanley's solo tour in 89 and Blackie Lawless on the Still not Black Enough cd by Wasp. Very versitile musician. This cd kicks some ass, but very hard to find.

I've been thinking about getting this one. I'll try it if you recommend it Reno. Also, wasn't Bob with Blackjack (Michael Bolton's old band) or was it Wicked Lester? I know about his being with Murderer's Row and Blackthorne, and the ones you mentioned.

Actually I think Bruce Kulick was with Balckjack. I could be wrong. I have some of the songs from this cd off the net, but would like to find an original

This was a great album. Yes, it was Bruce that was in Blackjack prior to Kiss. Bob was the mastermind behind the band Balance after working on Paul Stanley's solo album, and later was an integral part of Meat Loaf's touring band for a couple of years. A superb guitar player and totally over the top at times, he also guested on numerous projects throughout the 80's including Diana Ross of all people, on the b side of her 'So Close' single (what a song that was). This was a great album...

I remember working for the company that distributed this in the UK & never bothered picking it up. I then picked it up a few years later on cassette at a boot sale & wasnt overly impressed. Later still I replaced it with a cheap CD & was amazed that I hadnt been inpressed before as this is one great album. Worth buying just for the track Head over heels which should have been a huge hit!

This one hit me like a ton of bricks the first time I heard it, and that doesn't happen often. From the opening track to the last one, this albums has a lot to offer to the melodic rock fan. The melodies are crisp and catchy and the vocals are well done, catching fire in almost every chorus. Van Halen influences are heard in many of the tracks, especially the rockin' Head Over Heels. Other standouts are Eyes of a Stranger, I Like My Music Loud, Loser's Game and This Side of Paradise 9/10

Awesome album. The choruses are so well done. The standout track here is 'Head Over Heels' and it's one great song! I would think it's fair to credit Chuck Burgi on drums also, contributing to three of the tracks. Dennis St. James is not very well known, but he is a great lead vocalist and he sang the song 'Sling Shot' for the arcade game 'Daytona USA 2', which I would have to call the greatest song ever made. Just go to the arcade and play Daytona USA 2, Beginner Course, and you'll hear it.

Shit! I've seen this in shops before, but I hadn't bought it for whatever stupid reason. I finally heard it and holy crap, this is really good. Only 'Breaking the chains' came across as a filler and the rest was great. 'Eyes of a stranger', 'Little black book', 'This side of paradise' etc... it's all excellently played, solid melodic hard rock. Definately recommended if you cross paths with it.

Wonderful album!...great work by Mr Kulick & C.o..."Eyes Of A Stranger" is an excellent starter, very good song,"Breaking The Chains" has some wild drumming, guitar and bass,a highlight 4 sure,"I Like My Music Loud" has very catchy chorus,"Little Black Book" cool one,"Loser's Game" sounds just like a song from a movie soundtrack!,"Living On The Edge" is one of my faves along with "Head Over Heels" which is just a killer AOR track with excellent sing along chorus,"Guitar Commandoes" another goodie and "King Of The Night" closes the album goodly...killer release..the voice of Dennis remindes me of Kevin Chalfant (707,The Storm)..for the likes of Joshua,Paul Sabu to name some..94/100

I love Dennis St James and wanna hear the video game song so bad, you can hear him on Kuni's cd Fucked Up, Eyes Of A Stranger was a hit that just for whatever reason fell between the cracks, what a fucking awesome song, and a killer cd.

Decent hard rock with a tight rhythm section and a vocalist that sounds like a deeper Paul Stanley. Highlights are Breaking the Chains, the wonderful Head over Heels and This Side of Paradise. The only "lowlight" is Little Black Book which I find dull and uninspired.
