MAMA's BOYS managed to surprise in the 80's. The three brothers played their rock much in the likes of Rose Tattoo and Krokus, but they where never able to breakthrough. It simply missed out on real class. Great music, but I've heard it all before....

Well-groomed AOR in the style of Stage Dolls or Roxus. "In Over My Head" reminds me of Strangeways. Definitely worth getting, this remains high on the Koogles all-time best list.

Would even consider a cd-r. I made a disc of my cassette, but the quality is lacking. I hate to play the tape anymore because the sound is starting to degrade.

Guys, can we please keep the personal trade talk out of these comment/review threads? There's a buy/sell/trade forum in the site-wide message board for just this very thing. I'll give it a few days then I'll be deleting most of these messages. Thanks.

This is melodic rock bliss.A pure AOR recording in no uncertain terms. With the additon of Keith Murrell(ex Airrace) on vocals ,Mama's Boys excel on this one. This album is really hard to find so if you get your hands on it.......treasure it like gold.

I could never get into this CD. The only way I can describe it is boring. The songs just lack passion I guess. Waiting For A Miracle, Bedroom Eyes and Hot Blood are okay, slightly above average, but the rest of the music is a snoozefest. 3.5/10

I think it's a great stuff. "Running Away" should have been a hit... I always like bands where sisters or brothers work together.

Great adding considerig the WELL balanced sound between guitars and keyboards. Anyhow, even if I as well consider this an essential lost gem, it has to be said that from song to song can be uneven in songwriting and hooks. On ebay sells by far up the tag price.

I quite like this album -- but it's not really a Mama's Boys album. That is, it's such a radical departure from the '80s hard rock the McManus lads established on their previous releases that they should've just gone with a new band name to go along with the new style. Sonically, it's out with the manic guitar from Professor Pat, in with the keyboard pads and synth drums; out with John's rough-and-tumble vocals, in with Keith Murrell's smooth leads. Nothing that'll rock your nuggets off, but still an enjoyable slice of well-crafted AOR. Too bad the change didn't bring them the recognition they thought it would. Murrell's performance here is one of the best of the genre and well worth the bottom-dollar bargain bin price I paid. If you can find this disc, grab it -- but if you're expecting another set of "Crazy Daisy's" and find yourself choking on "In Over My Head," don't say I didn't warn you. 75/100

Adorable album with all that AOR flavour of late 80's... "Bedroom Eyes" and "Hot Blood" are my fave ones...some other fine cuts are # 1,3(nice) & 7...a good pick if you like the real essence of the genre.84/100
