This cd is a monster! Highly underrated band, I still can't undestand why this disc didn't get pushed by the label in the states. This is a classic, by a band that could be mistakenly be said to be past their prime. The rerecorded versions of Doctor...& Lights... are better than the originals! You can see how some of the Current artists like Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue, Dave Mustaine of Megadeth & the guys from Metallica were influenced by UFO. They are Heavy & Melodic. This one is essential!

Great stuff! Kicks Ass! Schenker Rules!

From: Carl Date: April 22, 2001 at 19:17
Not as good as their earlier stuff but still worth a listen. Spend a few bucks and get it.

From: John Date: April 23, 2001 at 10:48
Impressive release from this line-up of the band after not working together for so long. 'Venus' and 'Darker Days' are two great ones, and the new versions of 'Lights Out' and 'Doctor, Doctor' are also terrific. I saw them live in Cleveland in 1995 supporting this release and it was a super show. One of their best recordings.

From: Wayne Date: April 26, 2001 at 12:41
The drums aren't mixed the greatest on this one, but still the material shines through any problems. Great songs here from the classic band on their 'reunion.' A must for UFO fans, and real rock fans will also enjoy it.

From: Melinda Date: May 5, 2001 at 12:14
Production is a bit low here, but this one still is a real work of art. 'Venus' is the high point without question. Great material from the 'classic' lineup of UFO.

From: Frank Turner Date: May 11, 2001 at 13:59
Schenker rejoins and they continue to put out great stuff! 'Venus' is the best song here, but there are several great tunes. Much better than most of the 'old bands' who keep putting out material.

From: RockDude Date: May 20, 2001 at 20:25
The band released this themselves in 1995 and sold it at concerts on their 'Reunion Tour.' They had 'meet and greet' after the shows and signed the CD if you bought it. I saw them in Chicago-Schenker was rude but the other guys were cool. They added an extra song when it was reissued in 1998--Great CD.

From: Kobyashi Date: June 2, 2001 at 12:32
I must say the mix on this effort does not really appeal to me; however, these songs are simply wonderful! 'Venus' is a throwback to UFO's heyday and compares easily with material from 'Obsession.'

From: Bill Marshall Date: July 5, 2001 at 20:11
This is easily one of UFO's best albums...it rocks, the lyrics are classic Mogg and as usual Schenker ROCKS. It's amazing to release an album like this 20 years after their best work. Darker Days and Venus are wonderful new tracks.

From: music man Date: October 24, 2001 at 5:54
What a comeback for the old lineup. This is some of UFO's finest music.Pretty impressive considering their great back catalog of music from years ago. Let's hope Schenker and the boys can find their way back together to make some more of this magic.

From: TIM Date: April 25, 2002 at 9:46
Great album! I've been hooked on it since it came out. The 1st three tracks are my favorites, but I like them all.

From: Kim Date: May 19, 2002 at 12:59
This is one of the best ``comeback`` albums ever. Schenker is playing superbly and its a shame he`s such a superb idiot as well. I can recommend this one to everyone who likes Rock`n Roll.

From: Doug Date: June 15, 2002 at 17:17
Production is off a bit--the drums sound like cardboard boxes, but overall this is much better than average. Very good material.

From: Beevuss Date: September 16, 2002 at 20:45
It's good, nothing else needs to be said.

From: VY Date: January 23, 2003 at 1:52
WHO CAN TELL ME HOW I CAN GET SOME OTHER ALBUMS OF UFO.COOL BAND TO ME!

From: ultmetal Date: June 12, 2003 at 13:14
The new material, while only eight songs, is aggressive, heavy, and hook laden. The reunited band recorded two of their classic songs as well, giving a 90's production to some killer 70's songs. (Doctor Doctor/Lights Out) Another surprise is Schenker's chops. I suppose I had placed him in the 'past his prime' category, but Schenker still can shred with the best of 'em. It's been over two decades since UFO formed, but they still have something to offer. http://www.nolifetilmetal.com/ufo.htm

I'm a huge UFO fan, I think they are the best British rock band ever but I don't rate this very highly. Bit of a cheat re-hashing old songs however good they were. Of their comeback albums I think Sharks was easily the best.

From: Big Papa K Date: June 30, 2004 at 12:27
What an amazing comeback album. The band comes up with their best album since 'The Wild, The Willing, and The Innocent'. 'Venus' and 'A Self Made Man' are great. Would have rather had a couple new songs than the remakes at the end. 9/10

From: Nikko Sixx Date: November 3, 2004 at 7:09
Waoooowwwwww !!!! What a good stuff ! ! I must admit that I didn't believe 'Them' able of a so good album : everything is perfect : voice, guitar, chorus, harmonies .. pffffffffffffffffff

From: Propane Date: December 1, 2004 at 19:48
SONOFABITCH!!! This one hit me from behind, knocked me on my face, twisted my spine, ran me over and made me sorry for any negative thought I've ever had about these dudes. Geez, guys!!! What a reunion disc!!! Everything on this one is mucho perfecto. Extremely nice job, well done on this one.

From: Remastered Reason Date: April 3, 2006 at 12:17
There are some strong tunes here but really it's hard to believe that the band again was creativly in full swing due to the remakes of 'Doctor, Doctor' & 'Light Out'.

From: YNGWIEVIKING Date: September 17, 2007 at 3:25
HUGE CD GREAT PRODUCTION AND the ALMIGHTY MICHAEL SCHENKER IN HIS FINEST HOUR ! 99/100 Maybe the UFO album ! no fillers PHIL MOOG in his great classy-crooner stuff rules ! PLEASE CHECK IT HUGE REALLY !!!!

From: YNGWIEVIKING Date: September 17, 2007 at 3:27
SORRY , MAYBE THE BEST UFO ALBUM !!!! ANYWAY BUY IT

From: Real rock fan Date: December 10, 2008 at 17:29
Nice comeback album of sorts, A Self Made Man and Venus are probably my favourite songs on this album, Darker Days and Dreaming Of Summer are pretty good too!

From: hair metal again Date: March 9, 2010 at 6:14
very good music by the mighty U F O in that late 90s release.michael s guitar work is awesome ,phil s vocs always in style and the songwriting is in high level.check out the "self made man","runnin on empty" and the great riff in "pushed to the limit".surely a winner here

From: rick kerch vzla Date: July 1, 2011 at 22:41
In agreement with the good comments above...this is a very good effort by UFO...undoubtebly a living legend in rock music...best shots for me are "A Self Made Man","Pushed To The Limit","Darker Days","Knock Knock","Doctor Doctor"(new version),"Lights Out"(new version)& the bonus track "I Will Be There" originally by Michael Schenker Group...91/100

From: 123charpenay Date: December 5, 2013 at 12:12
the legend is back.big sound, great production even if the sound of drums could be better.the european version have three bonus tracks.some fillers ,track 1.6.11.13.the rest is really excellent.it s a pure u f o record with the charismatic voice of phill mogg and the genuis guitarist mr mickael schenker.fans of the band(i am) can t be disapointed
