Just about 3 years since the last UFO Album (the excellent 'The Monkey Puzzle'),this, with the exception of the ill Pete Way(Peter Pichl stands in on Bass)retains the same line up as previous. 'The Visitor' also pretty much carries on musically where 'The Monkey Puzzle' left off, so everyone that liked that one is pretty much guaranteed to do the same here. There is really a good mix of stuff featured, from the bluesy 'Saving Me' & 'Rock Steady' to the pure hard rocking 'Hell Driver' & my personal album favourites 'Stop Breaking Down' & 'Can't Buy A Thrill', both unmistakably UFO tracks & both very good songs indeed. The ballad 'Forsaken' is a keeper aswell & demonstrates that old Phil still has the pipes. The Euro/Jap bonus track 'Dancing With St. Peter'(which is a re-record of Phil Mogg's old band $ign Of 4)is also a nice addition. Definitely the best album Vinnie Moore has done with them so far & an absolute belter of a disc, even out doing 'The Monkey Puzzle' in the quality stakes. |

They don't change. They wouldn't change. They should'nt change. They actually can't change. My only hope is they keep the band going as long as possible. |

excellent new release by the mighty UFO with vinnie moore being the guitarist for a long time now,and he has become essential with his fresh sound and his ideas.again the quality of this band is obvious in everything they do."the visitor" is so hard rockin and groovy,it seems the band really enjoys it.you can hear great songs like "stop breaking down","cant buy a thrill","villain &thieves" and "saving me".i mgonna catch them live in a few days for this tour and i m really excited |
