Best damn live album of all time.

From: Chuck Date: April 22, 2001 at 18:38
Agreed--best damn live album ever. Great Production and kick-ass versions of classic songs. Trust me, you need this one--go get it.

From: Lisa Date: April 23, 2001 at 18:24
Awesome versions of 'Too Hot To Handle' 'Lights Out' 'Rock Bottom' and more make this one the best UFO album ever. I saw the show at the Chicago Amphitheatre in 1978 when they recorded part of this album. It was PHENOMENAL. I'm 40 now and I can still rock with the best of them, and Phil Mogg is 52 now and he still can sing better than many of these younger punks who play in groups they like to call 'bands' nowadays. All you 16 year olds go buy this CD and hear some real music.

From: Jennifer Date: April 24, 2001 at 11:14
Yes, best live album of all time. a goddamn classic.

From: Wayne Date: April 26, 2001 at 11:45
This one is the best! It keeps your attention from start to finish. 'Cherry' and 'Hot 'n' Ready' were not on the original release in 1979 but were added a few years ago. 'Rock Bottom' is the climax on this one so play it loud!

From: Nathan Date: April 26, 2001 at 23:37
This one is ART, pure and simple. Like a fine wine, this one gets better with age.

From: JIM Date: April 27, 2001 at 12:23
THIS ONE IS A CLASSIC AND YOU GOT TO HAVE IT

From: Gary Date: April 29, 2001 at 10:20
Schenker was awesome to say the least on this set. The whole thing rocks and YOU MUST HEAR IT.

From: Colin Date: April 29, 2001 at 22:02
Agreed with all who posted above--superb live material and ranks with Humble Pie's 'Fillmore,' Journey's 'Captured,' and Deep Purple's 'Made In Japan' as top live rock recordings ever. OUTSTANDING!

From: Melinda Date: May 5, 2001 at 11:19
This one is still my all time favorite UFO work, and with no question at all--the best UFO album ever--PERIOD.

From: Frank Turner Date: May 11, 2001 at 12:22
Excellent is an understatement for this one. If you don't believe me, go pick up a copy and hear for yourself.

From: Evan Date: May 17, 2001 at 13:43
Best bloody record in history....NO DOUBT!

From: RockDude Date: May 20, 2001 at 14:13
3 best live rock records ever are: Pat Travers 'Go Fo What You Know,' ' Frampton Comes Alive,' and this one by UFO. One word says it all: CLASSIC

From: Kobyashi Date: June 2, 2001 at 11:34
Yes, I will agree with the masses herein; this is the best live rock album of all time. One cannot truly experience the joy of 'Strangers In The Night' unless it is heard loud! Such a masterpiece--the pinnacle of UFO.

From: gary will Date: August 23, 2001 at 11:53
my all time favourite band.the best live album ever schenker is awseome on this record.

From: RL Date: March 28, 2002 at 13:09
The best live record in history, the essence of hard rock and roll with a bit of melody-incredible!!! I've blown my eardrums out with this record since 1978, and I cannot get tired of it. Guitar players, listen and try to learn. Michael Schenker is the king of the world, and this proves it. Mogg sings great, as usual, but Schenker just leaps through your speakers, commanding your attention. Any hard rock fan HAS to get this, it blows away all this sad, sick, no talent garbage of today. UFO!!!

From: Tony Date: April 13, 2002 at 7:10
Oh man bow yor head in reverence to this album. Everyone here is right just one of the greatest live albums of all time. I had a friend who said it best once 'If you're not air-guitaring while listening to this you deserve an ass kickin'. A great reminder of how good rock-n-roll can be played. Get it NOW!!!!

From: Doug Date: June 15, 2002 at 16:58
What can I say about this one...except I agree with everybody else who posted here saying this one is totally awesome. This is one of those albums that is a MUST HAVE for all hard rock fans. Everybody talks about Mogg and Schenker sounding great on this one, but let's not forget Andy Parker--he kicked serious arse on drums.

From: Beevuss Date: September 16, 2002 at 20:29
Kicks ass...AND THEN SOME!!!!! This one can be summed up in one word: CLASSIC..

From: Great Dane Date: January 11, 2003 at 1:40
Close to beeing one of the best live albums ever.

From: Metalhead Date: April 11, 2003 at 10:48
This album is included in the Landmark Guitar Albums of the book LEGENDS OF ROCK GUITAR. Just imagine the intensity of the playing here.

From: mongoose Date: June 16, 2003 at 19:53
top notch disc, the songs take to live shows even better than they do to the studio versions, heavier, spot on vocals and kick ass guitar work. simply awesome

From: JohnR Date: September 15, 2003 at 6:04
I echo all of the above. A magnificent band in magnificent form. Surely Rock Bottom is the best guitar track of all time?

From: Rob Date: September 19, 2003 at 17:25
'If you're not air-guitaring while listening to this you deserve an ass kickin'. Couldn't have put it better my friend....I can only dream of actually being there when this was recorded.

From: stump455 Date: January 21, 2004 at 0:16
THE CLASSIC OF ALL TIME, i play this cd once a week while going to work... may hand gets tired from playing the steering wheel!!

From: Helen H Date: January 27, 2004 at 22:18
This album is a MUST for all rock fans, if you haven't heard it you haven't lived! Schenker is superb, but don't overlook the contribution of Paul Raymond on keyboards, his addition to the band in 1977 propelled UFO into their most successful era. The subtlety of his intros and harmonies complements both Schenker and Mogg. This can be best illustrated on Love to Love. Oh, and by the way, the boys are back in 2004! New album release in Feb and tour of Europe starts March. Lock up your Mothers!!!

From: Brian Mc Date: January 29, 2004 at 1:42
It is truly amazing that this recording is the performance of a band that had many, many problems at the time. Everything clicks! Andy Parker is awesome. I saw this tour in '79 and kick myself for not buying a tour shirt for $7.50! Fantastic lp. Fantastic band! No one today does it this good.

From: Justin Date: February 16, 2004 at 6:26
I was wondering if anyone else out there had heard of this album... Phew! And everyone agrees! It's just the most amazing live rock album ever! I don't have (or need) any other UFO recordings! I would hate to spoil the magic!

From: Scott Date: February 17, 2004 at 12:47
Wonder no longer Justin. This album is AMAZING! Simply one of the finest live records ever recorded. Ranks with Kiss-Alive, Nugent's-Gonzo and the incredible Thin Lizzy-Live & Dangerous! The 70's gave us some spectacular live documents.

From: Derek Date: March 20, 2004 at 11:48
Simply a great album.Schenker is brilliant. Up there with Thin Lizzy Live and Dangerous.

From: Rob Date: April 7, 2004 at 17:41
Have to agree with Justin and his choices of best live 70s albums!!! Those were the days, double live albums with gatefold sleeves!!

From: Mr M Date: May 3, 2004 at 11:46
I generally hate live albums: Sloppy renditions of classic tunes, onverdubbed to f*ck and little by the way of atmopshere captured. Not so this one! Just about every track on here p*sses over its studio counterpart from a grat height. Superb disc.

From: SUPERFISH Date: May 7, 2004 at 16:17
One of the truly great live Hard Rock albums, EVER! Great songs, great solos, Schenker was way ahead of his time for the metal bands. This album still gets me pumped up to rock. A great heavy party album! ONLY YOU CAN ROCK ME, TOO HOT TO HANDLE, DOCTOR DOCTOR, Gotta love it!

From: Big Papa K Date: June 30, 2004 at 12:14
While UFO always put out good studio albums, this one really took the songs to a new level. The live sound is great and the band plays with tons of energy. One of the best live albums ever. 9/10

From: Fizz Date: July 19, 2004 at 2:49
I waited so long to get this fucker, and was glued to it for a week! It leaped into my top-three live albums, along with Tesla's Five Man Acoustical Jam and Iced Earth's Alive In Athens.

From: Keith Date: September 4, 2004 at 2:11
One of the best live albums of all time.Michael Schenker pulls off some of the finest solos in Hard Rock/Metal history on this one, which 25 years later sounds just as fresh as when first released. An all time classic to say the least. If you love excellent melodic metal with fantastic guitarwork, and somehow don't have this one yet, run, don't walk to the nearest store that has it and pick this one up now! Or, get it online. Either way, just get it!

From: Wotty Date: September 4, 2004 at 2:38
To Keith.Well said, even after 25 years this album still gets cited a classic, and is in most peoples top 5 when it comes to all-time favourite live albums....

From: Dave Date: September 4, 2004 at 10:03
I agree , this is one of the great live albums of all time along with M.S.G 'One Night At Budokan' , Rainbow 'On Stage' ,Thin Lizzy 'Live And Dangerous' , Angel 'Live Without A Net' and Neil Young & Crazy Horse 'Weld'.All live albums that will never age and still sound better than any live album today. One exception was the latest Bad Company Live album but when you have the great man Paul Rodgers behind the microphone, what do you expect. You can also through in Riverdogs 'Absolutely Live' aswell

From: Wotty Date: September 4, 2004 at 10:09
To Dave.Well done Sir,you quoted quality....

From: Tony Date: November 25, 2004 at 7:14
I bought this album 25 years ago. Me and my mates used to listen to it all the time.I Still have my knackered old vinyl copy, as well as the new one on my ipod.I prefer the original opening starting with natural thing, but the extra tracks are great too.As someone else already said,if you only own one UFO album, make sure it's this one!Playing it still gives me a boost.

From: Propane Date: December 1, 2004 at 18:54
ABSOLUTELY THE GREATEST LIVE ALBUM EVER, BAR NONE! Never again will axes be wielded as powerfully as on this one. Everyone must always have this in their collection. My choice is to have it left out in the open to remind visitors where their place is, and where UFO's place is. Visitors are to silence themselves, sit down and pop one open for the eide of their lives.

From: Propane Date: December 1, 2004 at 19:04
Sorry about this. I never do this but I forgot to mention ROCK BOTTOM. The guitar work here has been unmatched to date. Others have come close, but none have soared as flawlessly as Schenker. Make sure you allow yourself 30 minutes after eating before you listen to this one, and brace your neck because your air guitaring gets extremely intricate.

From: Metalhead66 Date: January 31, 2005 at 13:15
Worth it alone for Michael's Stellar guitar work!!!He takes off on ideas in each solo that are Really well thought out and lyrical at the same time, Least we forget that the songs are what makes this whole thing work!!As a Guitar Player myself,I've studied these solos and licks many times and I still get a new lick each time around!!!9/10

From: Nick C Date: February 11, 2005 at 14:43
The classic live album from the boys! What can you say about this that hasn't been already said. One of my fave live albums along with Head East - 'Live' and Aerosmith - 'Live Bootleg'. It's the way Natural Thing kicks in that set the tone for the whole album!!! Good companion UFO live albums to this would be 'Live in Tokyo' the Archer period, 'Regenerator' for the Paul Chapman era, and 'Werewolves of London' and 'Live on Earth' for the later Schenker period!

From: Nick C Date: February 21, 2005 at 18:57
Oh yeah, forgot to mention Heavens Gate for the Atomic Tommy M period (but the sound is not as good as the afforementioned recordings).

From: Remastered Reason Date: January 13, 2006 at 23:37
Where did it go wrong for Schenker & UFO? Certainly not here! This is one of the top live hard rock discs ever recorded. Find it, Get it, Cherish it. Thank you, UFO!!!!

From: Remastered Reason Date: January 19, 2006 at 22:36
The culmination of the bands prevoius bonafide classics. Essential Listening.

From: angusshenkofspade Date: June 9, 2006 at 5:17
just one of the best live album ever ! each member of the groupis at his best ; each song is much better than studio version : everything perfect !

From: Japangea Date: August 20, 2006 at 9:15
The greatest and best live album ever!

From: Buitre Date: September 10, 2007 at 8:26
A classic album showing UFO at their best form...they keep on playing the same songs and recording them on each end every live record but in '79 they captured the moment. One of the best live recordings ever done.

From: YNGWIEVIKING Date: September 17, 2007 at 3:29
HUGE CD THE BEST LIVE ALBUM OF ALL TIME YOUNG michael SCHENKER spanking the whole guitar planet !!!!! 99/100

From: juan carlos Date: March 21, 2008 at 17:44

From: hair metal again Date: April 15, 2010 at 8:40
from the first tunes is obvious that this is one of the best live albums of all time in rock music.the energy of the band is unbelievable and the songs are anthemic.no need to say much whoever have seen them live knows what i mean.astonishing!

From: 707STAR Date: January 15, 2012 at 16:24
YES THIS IS THE GREATEST LIVE ALBUM OF ALL TIME. 6 GUYS BUSTIN LOOSE. FRAMPTON COMES ALIVE WAS GREAT BUT NOT AS GOOD AS THIS ONE. #1. THERE IS NO ARGUING ON THIS ONE. KISS ALIVE WAS ANOTHER GREAT LIVE ALBUM IN THE TOP 10. SCHENKER TURNS THIS INTO SCHRAPNEL (METAL SHAVINGS). AWESOME MUSICIANS AT WORK. HEADPHONES SUGGESTED FOR THE REMASTERED EDITION. BATTERIES NOT INCLUDED. PEACE OUT.

From: Doug Date: January 16, 2012 at 13:03
Indeed one of the best live albums ever. Ranks up there with KISS Alive, Nugent's Double Live Gonzo, Thin Lizzy's Live and Dangerous. Priest's Unleashed in the East and Queen's Live Killers.

From: 123charpenay Date: January 16, 2012 at 13:35

From: Buitre Date: May 9, 2013 at 10:38
One of the best live recordings ever released. UFO's studio recordings sound "flat" against the power of this record, they sound epic and fueled up. Highly recomended.

From: 123charpenay Date: October 18, 2013 at 16:27
simply the best hard rock live of the history!since 1979 i ve never heard a better live hard rock record.an extraordinary and phenomenal live record.the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
