Highly underrated record. Chapman had some great guitar work here. 'Blinded By A Lie,' 'All Over You,' and 'No Getaway' are simply great. A great melodic metal work.

From: Carl Date: April 22, 2001 at 19:03
I agree with the guy who posted above about this one- highly underrated and great songs.

From: Brad Date: April 22, 2001 at 20:16
This is the best UFO album ever in the sense that every song is good. CONSISTENCY is the word here. This is one you can listen to over and over and never get tired of. So Schenker didn't play on it-big deal. Mogg & company were great on this one, even though the band fell apart on the tour supporting this release.

From: John Date: April 23, 2001 at 10:52
One of my favorite albums of all time, and a UFO classic. This one is just candy for the ears. Thanks Aaron for the info about this one!

From: Gary Date: April 23, 2001 at 12:42
Hey this is cool and a good album from UFO. 'Blinded' is such a good tune. Great harmonies and a good feel to this one. UFO rocks no matter what the lineup!

From: Larry Murphy Date: April 23, 2001 at 13:59
I loved this album when it came out and still like listening to it now. 'Time To Rock' and 'No Getaway' are my picks for best tracks. Thanks Aaron for info.

From: Jennifer Date: April 23, 2001 at 19:06
A Goddamn classic and nothing else need be said.

From: Myles Date: April 24, 2001 at 15:00
My favorite UFO record and it has good material.

From: Wayne Date: April 26, 2001 at 12:04
Excellent work on this one-shame the band was at their all-time low point during the recording and following tour. Way didn't tour for this one and was replaced by Billy Sheehan. Every song on this one is top quality. One of the best CD's of all time and a masterpiece.

UFO is loved down under mates! They never toured here much that I know of but would love to see them get down here soon. This one is my favourite studio recording they did. Mogg sang brilliantly! Perfect 10!

From: Melinda Date: May 5, 2001 at 11:36
Next to 'Obsession,' this is the best studio album the band ever did. HOLY SMOKE, this one is so GOOD! All the songs are great, and this is another one that could have been a hit if radio had just given it a little help.

From: Frank Turner Date: May 11, 2001 at 12:41
One of my all time favorite works, and one of UFO's best overall. 'Blinded,' 'All Over,' Time To Rock,' 'No Getaway,' and 'Push' are the best tunes from this one. Another overlooked classic indeed.

From: RockDude Date: May 20, 2001 at 14:29
One of their best ever-either this one or 'Wild & Willing' would be the best to feature Paul Chapman. 'Blinded' is a great song, but 'All Over You' is probably the best tune on the album.

From: Kobyashi Date: June 2, 2001 at 11:50
Another superb effort by UFO! It is hard to determine whether this album or 'Wild & Willing' would be the best UFO product featuring Paul Chapman; both are excellent. Do not overlook this one-I suggest hearing it for yourself to discover it's enjoyment. Simply fabulous.

From: Lauren Lane Date: August 5, 2001 at 17:20
A really nice album with great songs. Mogg sounded so good on this one. Another really overlooked record.

From: Doug Date: June 15, 2002 at 17:10
Lots of great tunes on this one. Nice production and performances. One of their best for sure.

From: Gar Date: August 2, 2002 at 16:32
This one is pretty good. One of the better ones with Chapman. 'Diesel' and 'No Getaway' rock!

From: Beevuss Date: September 16, 2002 at 20:37
There are some really great songs here, and I agree this one should get more respect. Great 80's sound. I'm still looking for this on CD.

From: Great Dane Date: January 28, 2003 at 3:26
I remember when this came out. It got 'Slammed' everywhere. I know Schenker isnt on it, but so what. Its a superb release, with loads of good tracks. Highly recommendable. Infact, just like most UFO cd`s.

From: Brian Mc Date: January 30, 2004 at 4:04
Chrysalis wasn't putting any money into this band's promo fund because they were always on the verge of breaking up. Business reps considered UFO 'has beens' by '83 but they still managed to put out the best music in the world and 'Making Contact' is proof! UFO never stooped to using topics of 'pussy, tits, ass, & f##king' to sell records. They were classy to lay it sideways in the back of your mind. As far as that bare ass on the cover? She went on to be Bill Clinton's receptionist...

From: Big Papa K Date: June 30, 2004 at 12:19
After three great albums with Chapman, including the missing 'Mechanix', the quality starts to slip here. The album starts off strong with 'Blinded By A Lie' and 'Diesel In The Dust', but side two is too inconsistent. 7/10

From: RENE Date: November 25, 2004 at 13:30
Blinded by a Lie is one of my all time favorite UFO tracks. Very heavy metal. One of the coolest UFO songs ever. Only because that song you will buy this album for shore.

From: Propane Date: December 1, 2004 at 19:22
This is where they started to slip in my opinion. Seems like creativity started to wane a bit. That said, I still like this one. I'll always love these dudes.

From: Remastered Reason Date: January 17, 2006 at 13:28
Well, slightly a slip from the last three without Schenker but by now it was apparent their edge was wavering. Aside from a few memorable tracks, this one only gets played straight through for nostalgia sake.
