| The debut 3 years ago is a tough act to follow as "Rise Up" is no sophomore slump, but it's not a knock out either IMO. The (2009) S/T debut had enough weight with tracks like "Invincible" to classify that one as a solid MHR release. I would call 'Rise up' a little more light weight and a step down in quality of song writing from their debut. I don't hear the same magic as when listening to the debut for the first time before I was W.E.T. behind the ears. Martensson delivers some lead as well as background vox, as JSS and Erik trade off lead vocals on “Learn To Live Again”. This is a good album, but a little over hyped, with reviews for example by melodicrock.com rating “Learn To Live Again” 105/100. That's like when your high school gym teacher asks you for that 110% effort (more bark then bite).

| Great Melodic Rock/AOR! One of the best this year for sure, my fav tracks "Walk Away, Learn To Live Again, Love Heals, What You Want, The Moment, Bad Boy, Shot & Still Unbroken" In the same level of their debut IMO, both Great albums, 90/100.

| Yeah its good but nothing extraordinary, and certainly not what certain reviews say it is. Some great songs but overall it's just not that amazing.

Not as good as their 2009 debut even though the album has some good songs and can be likeable in general lines..."Walk Away","Learn To Live Again","What You Want","Bad Boy","On The Run","Broken Wings"(catchy)& "Shot"(catchy)are my faves..did i expect more of this?,yes,but the album has its moments so,buy it!!!...85/100

| i ve order this second project, from mr soto and his swedish friends,in japan.i was a little worried cause 3 comments on 4 on the site says that "the first record is better".i ve receive this bomb today and i m absoluty not disapointed.i am totally agree with rafo phoenix.i don t see any difference between the two wet s records.both are

| sorry: are at the same very high level.it s impossible to this band to write or play a bad song.this new realize follow the same path than their debut.only killer songs.all songs will hooked you quickly.their building (verse bridge and choruse)is excellent.musically it s very strong with plenty of beautiful guitar solo.good balance, two superb ballads for 13 songs.the japan bonus track is a great speed song named "victorious".for sure , this jewel will be in the best of 2013 news.no problem.

| What a killer song 'Walk Away' is! The song 'Running From The Heartache' from their debut album had me spinning the disc a thousand times and am sure 'Walk Away' will make me do so this time again.

| Deserving of its high praise particularly in an era where MR continues to produce quality with minimal financial or public backing, RiseUp outshines their debut in more ways than one. Depending on personal tastes one might decide to skip BadBoy (count me in), its tacky throwback lyric a distraction on what is otherwise a borderline perfect modern MR release. While not too unique, the title track is exceptional & booms perfectly over the car stereo. As stated already LearnToLiveAgain is incredibly strong yet another track that easily manages to stand up to any modern rock radio release, Shot StillUnbroken WalkAway all rock hard, repeat listens threatens most other 2013 titles released thus far. The beautiful melodies & instant hit that is BrokenWings perfects the balance between old & new. One of the finest recent modern MR records delivered by a wealth of talent (man, those vocals!) Production is fine packaging A1, RiseUp is everything they promised it would be! Rating 8.5

| My #1 of 2013, even better than the debut which was my #1 of that year.Production, musicianship,and songs are ALL top notch! All I can say is I really hope there will be a 3rd album from these awesome and talented guys.

| I rate this one lower than their debut, the songs don't 'stick' as on their debut, exception made for the great song Shot and the beautiful Still believe in us. I particularly don't like the loud and fuzzy wall of sound that overcharges most of the songs on here.

| I think this is an inferior album than the debut. Jeff Scott Soto sounds a bit weird here.

| This sounds like music for people who don't really like music. Similar to Coldplay or Nickleback.
