I didn't know Mandy Lion sang on this cd. No wonder it bombed. The only redemption for this cd was the fact that Ray Gillen and Glenn Hughes also sang on it.

Reno. Jason will give you hell now, and also `something` called UGHHHH......;D I fully share your views/wievs. Stay cool.

No KIM, I'm not going to give Reno any shit about this. It's great to hear Reno say that George Lynch "BOMBED"! Dokken was a joke and Lynch is a joke. It's nice to see Reno is making sense for once. You know it's funny.............George gets all these people to help him make a record and it "Bombs" just like his old bad, Dokken! You'd think the dumb ass would give it up. Maybe he will read this and get a clue.

Actually jason, I did say this cd bombed, but I wouldn't ever say that Lynch is a joke. He is one of the mostinfluencial guitarists of the 80's. He even was a grammy nominee in 1989 for Mr. Scary. I actually liked Dokken in the 80's but have not liked anything from them from Shadowlife on up. The first Lynch Mob cd was very good, but I didn't care much for the 2nd.

Actually Reno, Do you know how many people have been grammy nominees and didn't win (or should I say "Bombed")? Hell, AC/DC were nominated for best heavy metal group and lost to jethro tull (Fuckin' bullshit!) So just for the record, a grammy nominee is nothin' but a JOKE!! Just like Lynch! Joke, Joke, Joke!!

If we put George Lynch and Kip Winger together we'd have your favorite band- right jason? You can add the drummer and bassist of your choice- LOL!
|
From: jason |
Date: June 4, 2002 at 22:08 |
So what you are saying is TIM, that you don't think Kip is much of a bass player?.... Well, You're right!! So I get to choose the drummer & bassist...... Hmmm..... George & Kip need alot of help so, for a drummer I'll pick Neil Peart. And for a bass player.....Billy Sheehan.

I don't mean to but in on you guys but my best line up would be Robert Mason on vocals, Nuno Bettencourt and Harry Cody with the axes, Tommy Lee with the sticks and Cordell Crockett on bass!
|
From: jason |
Date: June 4, 2002 at 22:26 |
Nuno & Harry are VERY good picks indeed! That way we can skip Lynch all together! I don't think that Tommy can touch Neil Peart if he had six arms. AND I was also thinking that Stu Hamm could play the bass, what do you think?
|
From: jason |
Date: June 4, 2002 at 22:39 |
I was also thinking that Whitfield Crane (ugly kid joe) would be a good lead vocalist for this group. That way we can also boot Kip out of the picture! Whitfield has a great hard rockin' voice. HEY, this is coming together nicely.

q grande el gran GEORGE, es increible ver como suena la guitarra en temas como esa delicia instrumental de tierra del fuego. me encanta, es algo formidable, un disco brutal de uno de los hachas mas grandes del hard rock.

How could you put one of the greatest singers ever "Ray Gillen" and the worst ever "Mandie Lion" on the same CD? I guess this was a sign that George would sell out and do "Smoke This".

It just doesn't compare to his guitar playing when he was with Dokken. Or even Lynch Mob. Sad really.

I think George's roaring guitar is of unique characteristic. George is great when he is alone as well as George is C4 when he was with Dokken. Keep roaring george. While your guitar awesomely screeches .......

I think all the songs on this are top notch hard rock. Especially the tune with Glen Hughes. Man does he sing his ass off on that tune. I actually don't mind the Mandy Lion tunes either.

This is any amazing album. The highlights are "Not Necessary Evil", "Cry of the Brave" and "We Don't Own This World" with vocals by the Nelson brothers of all people. The instrumentals are also killer. A must have for any true George Lynch fan.

The instrumentals are excellent, the vocal tracks are pretty good for the most part ("We Don't Own This World" and the Glenn Hughes tracks), but Mandy Lion should just stay quiet, what an awful voice he has. 7/10

Everyone should have this jem. Ray Gillen, Matthew and Gunnar Nelson, Glen Hughes and the deepest and darkest vocalist of metal Mandy Lion. Also with the collaboration of Jeff Pilson.

I like 'Not necessary evil' and the wonderful Nelson-filled 'We don't own this world'. Aside from that I didn't get into anything else at all on this one. Two great songs though.

Now Now this may not be George's best work but you have to give to him props, he does shred !! Track 2 in the most memorable and it is a staple of all things George. This album is not that bad it is just that his other work with Dokken and Lynch Mob is so much better. If you did not know this was him it would be rated higher. It is a step away from his L.Mob/Dokken sound but for those of you who can appreciate some excellent guitar work and perhaps those into instrumental work this is a very good release. 80/100

Got this years ago.George's playing was solid as usual on this one.I remember seeing several bad print media critiques on this back when it came out-its not bad at all though. And that Co-Don Dokken penned "We don't own this World" is a great tune and the Nelson Bros did lay down some nice vox.Definitely one song Dokken should have recorded themselves in my book.

Brilliant album that consists of instrumental songs and other sang by some fantatic singers(one of them already dead shamely Ray Guillen,r.i.p.)..."Low Power From The Mama Head" is a killer instrumental song,","Flesh & Blood" is great,"The Beast #1" is like a metal based song with some kinda creepy vocals that reminded me of Blackie Lawless don't know why ...Mandy Lion... ...and with a tribal ending part...,"The Beat #2" a filler, unnecessary honestly,"Not Necessary Evil" good one,"Cry Of The Brave" a good one too & "Tierra Del Fuego" a latin rock/flamenco instrumental song,a very good one indeed ...an interesting solo debut release by Dokken's axeman...91/100

Are you sure Jean Beauvoir didnt sing on this. I just heard Cry Of The Brave and thought it was him. I'll have to look up and see who sang that song.
