From: Glammiemonster Date: May 8, 2002 at 7:44
worth owning for the pic of Kane/Rambo on the cover and the incredibly funny (but is it supposed to be) 'Tears of Fire'. We love you Kane.

From: Reno Date: July 4, 2002 at 13:37
Not as melodic as his 2nd effore, but still a killer cd.

From: 9 CHAMPIONS A 1 Date: July 19, 2002 at 12:09

From: RR-Finland Date: August 28, 2003 at 16:55
Ex-Alice Cooper guitarist. Great debut with catchy tunes like Women On the Edge Of Love, Too Much and Strong Arm. If you like Alice Coopers Constrictor,Raise Your Fist.. and Trash albums, you gonna love this guy! And what a great guitar!! Automatic M-60

Nothing compared to the awesome Saints & sinners, but still a very acomplished album!

From: John Date: October 21, 2003 at 15:36
Some of the most absurd lyrics I've ever heard. That said, are YOU going to tell Mr. Roberts he doesn't rock? I'm sure not. My fave on this has to be 'Women on the Edge of Love'. It's the only track that comes close to matching the quality of anything on the 'Saints and Sinners' release. 6.5/10.

Yo tb me quedo con el 2º disco ...

Buen disco aunque el segundo lo barre.Si alguien quiere cambiar CD de Hard Rock mi Email es pardao27@hotmail.com

From: Bilboker Date: March 19, 2004 at 10:04
Este disco es bueno, pero esque el segundo es la reostia

From: Big Papa K Date: June 14, 2004 at 17:56
I agree with John about the absurd lyrics. Man, do lyrics get any worse than "Tears Of Fire". The harder rocking songs are the weak ones on here, but when Kane goes for aor type tunes like "Women On The Edge Of Love", "A Strong Arm Needs A Stronger Heart", and "Too Much", he shows the promise that would be fulfilled on Saints and Sinners. 5/10

From: JarWi Date: August 23, 2004 at 8:58
A bit worse than "Saints" but outstanding anyway.

From: Geoff Date: August 23, 2004 at 9:07
This is silly, corny beyond belief - awful lyrics and just an incredibly cheesy feel overall, but I still love it. I sued to have the original of this, wish I still did. There are some cool AOR / melodic rock songs but those lyrics... oh dear. I can't even mention my faves because it's almost embarassing. I do like 'Tears of fire' though.

From: Date: April 25, 2005 at 16:34
Pretty shit, that's why he got Desmond on the 2nd one (vocals aren't even as good). Thank god for good vocal lessons huh Kane.

From: meradona Date: July 9, 2005 at 9:26
prefiero con mucho el segundo, pero este tambien es bueno, algo mas durillo pero bueno. 7/10

From: Joshy St. Jaimz Date: August 5, 2005 at 7:26
I can't believe I've only just found out how good this album is - Excellent songs, and as someone says above, Kane takes the more melodic tracks from this album as a guide to put together the brilliant Saints and Sinners. This one is a winner, though if you listen on some songs, Kane sounds a lot like Gene Simmons?

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: September 17, 2005 at 11:58
Very Good Hard-Rock/Melodic Rock album with AOR bits, hey boys this is really a good album, i kwnow Saints and Sinners is better but this is Very good, claro que el siguiente es mejor pero este es muy bueno tambien, fe de eso se muestra en cortes Demoledores como Too Much, Women on the Edge of Love, If This is Heaven(my 3 favs) de cerca A Strong Arm Needs a Stronger Heart y Tears of Fire 5 buenisimos cortes de Hard Melodico/AOR que elevan este album, consiganlo y disfruten.

Awesome debut for this great body builder singer ahaha.Unfortunately he doesn t have a great vox too, just ok but personal indeed.Songs in his typical style are all great,I am only a little bit disappointed about the few tracks more metal oriented, not so good and a little average and poor, but 7 songs here are really great!9/10

From: poproxx2007 Date: September 2, 2006 at 18:34
A great cd from a talented guitarist and songwriter. If you like well crafted AOR like early Bon Jovi you will lap this up! 10/10

From: aTomiK Date: April 1, 2007 at 14:11
What a great album! Sadly the first song (Rock Doll) is the weakest and this was chosen to be the video song!!?? Why, oh why... Everything else rocks in this cd. 9,5/10 IMHO. Kane rules!!

From: VICE Date: October 14, 2007 at 14:04
I didn't expect much out of this album except for some nice true 80s guitar work by Kane when I first saw the album cover & then read the song titles, but hey! When I finally heard it I couldn't believe it! I fell of my chair literally!!! The lyrics are silly but you forget that when you hear how nice Kane's singin' those lines & his guitar work is amazing too! Listen to: "Triple X", "Too Much (For Anyone To Touch)", "Out For Blood", "Tears Of Fire" or any track & you'll understand!!!

From: metalhead4life Date: January 1, 2009 at 20:45
Sure he's not the best singer in the world but songs are killer with big choruses and hooks. Real good guitar work too. If you like 80's hair metal - buy it!! Tracks 9 & 11 are my faves from this one. 80/100

From: WookieEnthal Date: July 11, 2009 at 23:18
I hated this when it first came out but I really dig it now. I listen to it quite often.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: July 28, 2010 at 22:42
Incredible album!!!..Hard Rock numbers with some Metal adding where needed...and of course with a blend of AOR too!..."Rock Doll" what a song!,cool!,"Women On The Edge Of Love" excellent AOR/Rock track with good choruses,"Triple X" yeah!,"Gorilla" what a way to play the axe!,"Outlaw" just followed the killer guitar intro of Gorilla,it rocks!,"If This Is Heaven" another catchy one with another good chorus,"Out For Blood" is a kick a** song!,"Full Pull" excellent,"Too Much" a fave one with that nice AOR vibe,"Tears Of Fire" is such a nice rocky ballad and to close with "A Strong Arm Needs A Stronger Heart" which is just excellent...Kane Roberts gives us strong numbers just like the way he looks!...buy!.92/100

From: hair metal again Date: September 16, 2011 at 2:06
very good hard rock debut by KANE ROBERTS ,with a clear guitarish sound and many melodic hooks .i think he gave his full effort in guitar solos and less in songwriting but still there are some great moments like "if this is heaven" and "women on the edge of love".overall this works for me

From: CC Date: October 29, 2018 at 16:57
15 years ago I made a comment on this album (where does the time go), and while I still stand by that, with the upcoming new album by Kane I thought I would give his back catalogue another listen. Yes there are some silly lyrics on this one, two songs really always stood out to me as being more akin to Saints & Sinners than to the rest of the material on this one. Tears of fire and Too much (for anyone to touch) could actually fit more on his second album than this one. Maybe not as polished as anything on Saints & Sinners, but certainly more stylistically similar than they are to songs like Full pull and Rock doll for instance. Still a fun little album, but those two songs are stand outs for me.
