sweet sweet pink cream (69). one step into paradise is a great song which will stick with you even after years of hearing it last. great album!

My favorite PK69 cd. Andi Deris sang higher then the sky in songs like Take those tears and Sugar for love, my favs togheter with Welcome the night( what a hit). Andi was the main song writer. This band is good with Readman too, but Deris is irrepaceable. I give this 10.

it's inimitable

Now we're talking!!! This is absolutely beautiful! Originality & Innovativity...It's still good, top-class hardrock though. Listener friendly & all..."Take those Tears", "Partymaker", "Don't Hit the Bottom Row" (What a melodic solo!), "I only Wanna..." & especially "One Step Into Paradise" being the highlights...Andi Deris' distinctive vocals make this one a real gem! Much better singing than in Helloween if you ask me...

From: Blaze Date: October 22, 2003 at 11:12
Yes Andi sang better in Pc than in Helloween. And David is better singer than Andi.

Un buen disco mas del 89'!! 6 sobre 10!!

From: AGNAR Date: March 9, 2004 at 5:40
what i think about this kind of bands, is that the first album is usually the best. on my vinyl version the last 3 songs are missed, althought this self-titled is a very good platter, in my opinion. "One step into Paradise" and "I only wanna be for you" are just two Scorpions-like boneshaker hits! 7 out of 10.

From: Kip Date: August 29, 2004 at 17:42
Although uneven at times, this album has some of the most intense, melodic guitar riffs, solos and vocal arrangements on any CD I own. Andi Deris gives what I believe to be his best vocal effort to date, while Koffler has never sounded closer to a shredder/virtuoso in his career. Highlights include the melodic and high intensity of Take Those Tears, One Step Into Paradise, Welcome the Night and Child of Sorrows. Also solid is Sugar for Love, Close Your Eyes and I Only Wanna Be For You. 9/10

Oh the internal battle about what I think of this CD! Songs - brilliant. Vocals - harsh, and really not what I like at all. Drums - awful, tin-like. But songs - excellent! I like almost every song on this, especially 'Take those tears', 'Shadows are falling' (What a solo!), 'Sugar for love'. Killer songs and elsewhere this is a great CD. Just don't really like the vocals or drums.

From: Rocketer Date: September 11, 2004 at 17:15
I Own this CD since it see's the day of light, and what should I say? This is one of the best German Debuet Album ever. Each Song is a Killer. I Remember seeing them on Tour with this Album, yeah they kick Ass of White Lion (bye the way a great band!). A must have for lovers of European Hard/Party Rock! 10 Points!

From: T-Bone Date: September 12, 2004 at 8:43
Well, I'll agree that this cd kicks ass, I definately cannot see the White Lion comparison. White Lion is a good band, but very poppy compared to PC69 which is more straight ahead Metal. Like Judas Priest meets Helloween. Andy Deris went on to join Helloween in 1994 for the Master Of The Rings cd. Although I liked him, I still think David Readman is a better fit with the band. He has a much more versitile voice. Check out his remake of One Step Into Paradise on the Mixery EP and you'll see why.

I think Rocketer was merely saying they toured together & PC were the better band!

From: figgy Date: January 25, 2005 at 19:56
pc 69 blows away white lion. Not to say white lion sucks, just pc69 brings a little more attitude with them.I agree white lion is a little more poppy.

Amazing album! 9 great songs and 4 (only) good ones. Id like to hear more hard rock tunes from Andi, but i like his Helloween songs too. Maybe another solo album!

This sucks!!! Nuff said.......

From: darobinson Date: November 15, 2007 at 18:42
My bad. Cool music, terrible singer. Now I remember why Helloween is so bad............

From: metalmaniac777 Date: March 19, 2011 at 13:34
Andi Derris possesses a voice that soars high enough to tickle an angel's ass and here he uses it to deliver some top-notch melodic hard rock. There are enough big, sharp hooks popping up on this album to make a school of fish nervous, and some superb melodies that will probably make fans of the genre cream their shorts like a horny cheerleader getting fingered for the first time. There are a few fillers and a less-than-ideal drum sound that detract from the overall quality, but this CD should still be in every melodic hard rock/metal collection just like the deliciously naughty position for which the band is named should be in everyone's sexual repertoire.

Sorry guys but for me this album is not that great,a matter of tastes i guess and obviously respecting your different points of view...only 4 songs got my attention and those were "Take Those Tears","Rolling Down A Thunder","Partymaker"(rocks!) and "I Only Wanna Be For You"(AORish)...Deris is one hell of a singer and nowadays he's doing marvellously well with Helloween...75/100
