Possibly the best melodic metal release of 1999 and undoubtedly the best album in this band'd discography. Clean, powerful guitars form the foundation for the sound, and PC69 builds killer hooks on that foundation, thrusting the songs into fantastic choruses complete with multi-layered backing vocals. Fans of hard-hitting, Euro-flavored melodic metal can't go wrong with this one.

I am old Pink Cream 69 fan, this move to alternative is a let down for me.Games People Play is their last and best release.

From: wild kenny Date: April 26, 2002 at 9:42
A good hard rock cd. With this album they came back to what they do better (hard rock). The two cd before this (change and food for thougt) were really alternatives. My favorite is still the first self titled with Andi Deris that sing higher than the sky.

how does an lp like this fall between the cracks here in the states? few releases just blow me away first listen like this did, shame is an absolute scorcher---guess these guys lack real talent like the white stripes, or whatever that useless two-piece brother/sister/husband/wife duo thats in all the press right now. man, sometimes i just don't get it----------

Lo siento Shame es una joya pero el resto del disco poca cosa.

From: xavieskay Date: January 5, 2003 at 23:40

Only one word can describe this release... WOW! If you have heard this album and didn't like it, you need be on another website. A great disc. Every song on this album has very catchy choruses and strong melodies to keep you hooked all the way through. Not one bad song on this album. Highly recommended for fans of Heavy Melodic Rock.

I can see where people who were fans of the band with Deris on vox would not like Readman, but this is still just a really solid release. The band is incredibly tight, and the songs are (as always except for "Change") extrememly well written.

PC69 have returned to their melodic roots, and what a welcome return it is. Combining elements of their debut and third release 'Games People Play', this multinational act has created a superb slice of heavy melodic rock. From the opening strains of 'Shame', with it's soaring guitar lines and power chorus, you are left in no doubt that Dennis and the boys are back with a vengeance. 'Break The Silence', 'Over The Fire' and 'Burn Your Soul' are fierce while retaining the great choruses. Recommended.

From: Big Papa K Date: June 27, 2004 at 22:20
Now this is much better! Pink Cream 69 drop the grunge stylings of the last album and return to the melodic hard rock of their earlier work. Readman's vocals sound great and the band sounds like it has a new life. Top tracks are "Break The Silence", "Shame", and "Stranger In Time". 8/10

From: CC Date: August 15, 2004 at 13:17
Listened to this for the first time last night & what stood out was the last track "Gone again". This is a great ballad & the hidden bonus version of it is funny as hell with its pseudo cockney vocals!

From: Geoff Date: August 15, 2004 at 21:09
Man, this is just a fantastic, brilliant peice of melodic hard rock recording. After the previous two I was just blown away with glee to hear the mighty PC69 return in style... but not just style, unmistakably genius melodic hard rock style. No fillers here, just gem after gem. A couple of faves are 'Losing my faith' and 'Gone again'. Great album! 9/10

From: Kip Date: August 29, 2004 at 17:56
Geoff names 2 of my 3 favorite tunes here, the othe rone being Shame, which in my opinion may be their best song ever. Along with these three, Strangers In Time, Break The Silence and Burn Your Soul, you get 6 OUTSTANDING tracks on an 11 track album. That's hard to do for most bands issuing greatest hits compiliations. the only filler are the tracks Best For You, Rocked Ride, and strangely enough, the worst track is the title track, Electrified. Overall a triumph and return to form. 8.5/10

I agree with all that say this CD is nothing short of AWESOME. Shame is one of my all time favs. Not just of PC69, EVER. This is a MUST HAVE.

I see 'Best of You' mentioned as filler? I love that track - great chorus and killer guitar solo. I even dont mind 'Electrified'. Top songs here though are 'Shame' (classic PC69), 'Break the Silince' and 'Burn Your Soul' (prob my pick of the album). All in all great melodic hard rock, which was a relief after a pretty dodgy patch on the previous albums.

pink cream is a special band.they are unique i don t know any hard rock bands who sound like them.in the nineties i hate what they do.some weirds records with grunge influence.with electrified they are on the good way.they play more melodic.great songs but some fillers in between.but i am sure pink cream fans loves this cd.
