Sound's like André Matos joining Brother Firetribe :-) I heard a few samples seems to be a good Release...

Firenote will obviously get compared to fellow Fins, Brother Firetribe, Free Spirit & Swedens excellent H.E.A.T & that would be not too far off the mark, although I do hear a lot of Shy mixed in their sound, especilly some of the very Tony Mills like vocals & maybe a slightly more retro hard rock sound in places, compared to the more AOR/MR style of BFT and H.E.A.T. For a debut album (although they have been around since about 2004),this hits the mark on more than a few ocassions & I would say that the best tracks on here are well up with anything those aforementioned bands have previously done, the opening title track, 'Sara La Fountain', 'Suddenly' & 'Heartbreaker' being good examples. Quality does dip on a few occasions & that is why I would say they aren't quite there with their peers just yet, but the potential certainly is. Production by Urban Tales Erkka Korhonen is also worthy of note, as it sounds a million dollars. All in all a very good debut & I look forward to album no.2

Good solid debut. A little disappointed that they start off amazingly strong with the album's two best songs at 2 & 3 - 'Danger' and 'Sara La Fountain' are immaculate slabs of melodic rock. Then there is a bit of a dip in quality - nothing bad, but nowhere near as good as they set the scene for. Thankfully, 'Suddenly' kicks the end of the album in the ass a little and is another gem. I think the most valid comparison is probably with Brother Firetribe. Both very solid bands, maybe just needing a few more really killer tracks. Not a huge fan of the vocals on this on either. Good disc, though.

I was curious about this one because the cover artwork is the same as Brother Firetribe and after some samples the music can to be close too.Another awful band that play same old last things from Finland even if they are okay indeed.

Pretty good melodic hard rock in the vein of Brother Firetribe, H.E.A.T./ TNT/Shy with some excellent moments.Nothing more, nothing less.

The comparisson with Brother Firetribe is ok but i personally think BF is more structured in harmonies and composition...but talkin' about this new lot,the album is a good one debut with songs that surely will hook you up such as "Firenote","Danger", the nice mid tempo ballad "My Love Will Never Die","Sara La Fountain"(i think was their single) and the last 2 songs "Heartbreaker" and "She Stole My Speedos"(funny title!)are the outstanding ones 4 me.If you like melodic rock and having Brother Firetribe,H.E.A.T.,Wig Wam and maybe The Poodles as references then Firenote will be a nice choice 2 pick at a record store.90/100
