Thunder have never released a bad album, but After their original reformation, they never released a truly great album for me. Gone were the real anthems of the earlier albums, replaced with some really good songs but nothing that really blew me away. Then they released Wonder days in 2015, which while still not as big and bombastic as the first few albums, it was a real throwback to the earlier days. So when Rip it up was announced, I was hoping it would pick up where Wonder days left off, but sadly its back to a similar sound to previous albums. Oh, its not a bad album, but it just does not excite me like Wonder days did. The live discs are exactly what you expect, but there is no end to live albums, bonus discs and EPs etc from Thunder, so nothing really new there. Would have much rather have had a single bonus disc of previously unreleased songs or something like that. Do we really need anymore live Thunder albums? |

I agree with CC, not a bad album but no where the caliber of their earlier albums. The two live CD's? Boy, they could have picked better songs, IMO. But I am a Thunder fan, so gonna stick with 'em! |

good album for THUNDER and these guys seem capable of writing down thousands of good songs anyday!still they cant reach the highs of their early years ,but that s natural ,i guess that s how life goes..THUNDER is a fantastic band and you can t go wrong with them..."right from the start","shakedown" and "no o ne gets out alive" are the highlights of this decent release that is their worst (and a proof of how good they are) |
