This is the band HIM wishes they could be! Underneath the black eyeliner and goth image lies very melodic and sincere vocals, hooks galore, and superb (though a bit gloomy) songwriting all presented via a top notch production. "Tears Of Deceit" and "The Key" are monster melodic rockers and the beautiful ballad "Dying Angels" is an atmospheric gem......No need to dye the hair black and don a black trenchcoat in order to enjoy this well crafted piece of melodic hard rock, there's plenty on tap here to appeal to mainstream rockers, even the suit wearing/buzz cut crowd such as myself.......Jeff.

Very nice Finnish stuff ala Negative, Lovex, HIM etc etc, so if all these genre of bands do it for you, then Soul Relic will almost certainly be added to the list. As mentioned above, there are some real quality melodic rock songs going on here and the songs mentioned would also be my favourites aswell, although I would also add 'Hollow Craving' and 'Kiss Of A Saint' to that list aswell. As far as I know, this band is no more and have done the split, so this will be the bands swansong as it were. Nice album to go out on though for sure and well worth picking up.
