Faith Circus describe their sound as a hybrid of KISS, Van Halen, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, and Journey. That's a bit of a stretch IMO but it's pretty decent stuff. Gone is the AOR sheen on the debut, replaced by a MHR groove and Mark Farrano's well rounded vocals (no norwegian accent). The band stresses melodies/harmonies and now falls into the category of hook driven MHR with the rebooted sound. "Turn Up The Band" 2 cd set contains the band's (2008)debut remix/remaster as well as some bonus material. There is a cover of the Eric "The Fox" Carr/Bruce Kulick/Adam Mitchell composition "Can you feel it" previously only released in demo form on the former Kiss drummers,"Rockology" album. The songs are "Heroes" and a version of 007 soundtrack from the movie "For Your Eyes Only (1981)" with a vocal duet with Robin Beck. Tony Harnell and James Christian also throw in some backing vocal talent. Nothing earth shattering but this is a pleasant listen and worth a spin. |

i don t know why i ve missed this very great cd in 2014.generally the melodicrock records s realise are very average, here it s an exeption cause this album is a success.it s really stupid to add at this new realize a second cd s ,the reissue of their first effort.for a simple reason these two records have nothing in common.their first record was a decent a o r affair not more.here they change of direction theys plays a real hard rock with very big guitars and no keyboards, only a little little bit.i ve this cd in japan import with four bonus tracks.for a real pleasure when you listen this cd ,you have to make a serious clean up cause tracks 3.6.7.12.13 are some fillers.rest nine super hard rock songs wich content all the hard rock s lovers of this planet.i can add that the two ballads tracks 5 and 9 and really superb. |
