Good old Billy on HH, didn't think I'd see the day to be honest, but he is a very welcome addition in my book. This is by pretty much his best album,(although the debut was great and the cracking 'Devil's Playground in 2005 was a real turn out aswell). An album of it's time maybe, but it still is a great disc and there is no denying there are some really excellent tracks on here, with 'Rebel Yell','Eyes Without A Face', 'Catch My Fall' and 'Flesh For Fantasy' being the best of a very cool bunch.

The Super Classic! totally agree with aorluver, "Rebel Yell" is 1 of the best songs from the 80's but "Eyes Without a Face" is possibly 10 of the best Pop Rock songs from that legendary decade, "Blue Highway" wow! another Mega Classic what a times! "Catch My Fall, Flesh for Fantasy & Stand in the Shadows" 3 Super classics tracks more! "Crank Call & Daytime Drama" are very good, only "The Dead Next Door" cut the perfect rating, Classic! 95/100.

One of the most notorious releases from the blond guy...tracks "Eyes Without A Face","Flesh For Fantasy" & "Rebel Yell" are simply historical. Some other fine moments are # 2 & 4.85/100 :-)

Rebel Yell is Billy's best album by a fair distance, showcasing his blend of new wave, metal, goth and power-pop. The title track is, of course, an evergreen classic, one of his two best songs ("White Wedding" being the other). "Eyes Without A Face" was a big hit in the summer of '84, with those thick, horror-movie keyboards illuminating the darkness with psychedelic colors. "Flesh For Fantasy" is another dark delight, with "Blue Highway" and "Stand In The Shadows" being top riff-rockers as well. A few other tunes, like "Daytime Drama" are a little too new-wave for me, and others like "Catch My Fall" and "The Dead Next Door" are marred by Billy's hammy vocals, like a snotty, British punk pretending to be Jim Morrison for a larf (which pretty much sums up Billy Idol right there.)
