We're 2 weeks in and the annual donation drive has reached 25% of the goal of covering site costs for the year. Thanks to all who have donated so far. The drive will run through October 31, details over on the Heavy Harmonies Forum.
Every donation helps, no matter how small. If you can't afford $20 for the year, give $10. If you can't afford $10, give $5. It's just once a year and keeps the lights on.
Thank you for supporting Heavy Harmonies!

If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.
The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Cher CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.
EPs and CD-singles from Cher are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

This is the weakest of the 3 Cher discs I own, but there are still a few highlights. 'Save up all your tears' (done better by Robin Beck) and 'Could've been you' (also done by Bob Halligan) are two gems, alongside the killer 'Who you gonna believe'. A few fillers and the first signs of her decline here... but still a pretty nice slab of AOR.

Judging from some of the replies (many of which have been deleted), there are a whole bunch of people reacting to the name "Cher" rather than having actually HEARD the 3 discs that have been added to HH. These 3 discs are quintessential melodic rock. No, we are not adding the rest of her pop discography, but these 3 albums definitely are appropriate for the site. It's no different from Shania Twain's single rock effort, Michael Bolton's early rock material (Blackjack with Bruce Kulick anyone?), or Pantera's early glam-era CDs. Just because other releases from an artist are outside the boundaries of HH does NOT disqualify those that are representative of the genres here. P.S. Childish insults just because you disagree with an artist being included here will not be tolerated. Have a nice day.

No childish insult here, but Cher here on HH ?? I am having a hard time with that. She may be a good writer/singer but just not for here on HH. Just my opinion.

How anyone can class the Shoop Shoop song as AOR is beyond my powers of reasoning.

edwithmj: Cher is DEFINATELY NOT the only AOR singer who ever re-recorded a song NOT in the AOR theme. The Shoop Shoop Song was just made for fun by her. I guess she likes it. As an oldies fan as well as other types of genres she did the song pretty good. Not everyone's cup of tea I guess. She's not the first to do it and certainly NOT the LAST to do it. keep it melodic! Keep on Rockin'!
