Hmmm, did comments get wiped? I thought I commented on this already. Anyway, I think this album is on the verge of being decent, but not really there. The vocals and feel to the album is still very much a Night Ranger vibe, especially heard on 'You're gonna hear it from me'. There are a few cool songs here, but overall this album just doesn't overly work for me. Hopefully a grower, but I doubt it.

This is not a new sound. This is how NR sound ín 2007. Great snogs with HEAVY HARMONIES!!!

From: Nick C Date: June 17, 2007 at 6:28
This album is getting a few knocks but for me it pretty much rocks and although the sound maybe a little more stripped down than people expect from NR (a process they started around the Man in Motion album) it isn't such a radical change for the band as has been made out. The guitars are just BIGGER than they were on earlier releases all the other NR traits are pretty much intact. I guess people want Sister Christian over and over again...if so leave this well alone and buy a greatest hits maybe

From: Nick C Date: June 17, 2007 at 6:33
As FTCharlie points out this is NR for 2007 not 1987...ermmmm... not sure about the great SNOGS with Heavy Harmonies though, certainly some great songs , Tell Your Vision just the chorus embeds itself in your head and the main guitar riff is a doozy. I can see this album making my top ten by the end of the year. Maybe not for NR purists though, but then neither was Neverland and the well underrated Seven.

Maybe more a hole in the brain? After Dawnpatrol they got weaker and weaker, sorry!

From: wsr88d Date: July 28, 2007 at 10:54
This is great album, I think it stems off their more recent two studio released, "Seven" & "Neverland" and takes it to the next level. C'mon people this isn't the early 80's here - so don't expect a repeat sound. Modernized and updated and more mature sounding band and album. Really good songs here, like #1,2,5,7,10,11...the rest are decent and feel like fillers. It is a good start and comeback...the follow up will be interesting though. PROS: New mature sounding NR w/ good songs CONS: filler. B

It's o.k,the heavier songs are more aggressive and grungier then what Night Ranger did of old to hard rock songs, but still the guitars are not blazing like a Tesla/Iron Maiden/Thin Lizzy, Night Ranger style. The band are like bands today like Nickelback. Kelly Keagy material is better then Jack on this and his solo record sounds more Night Ranger. Nick C you can't compare this record to Man In Motion, doesn't sound nothing like it,the last record that sound like their early stuff is feeding off t

Ok guys, evolution's calling in here..but for a good cause???..i doubt it!..honestly as for the evolution issue, the album could be a good one but for NR's die hard fans this could be left behind..why? because we don't even have a minimun reminiscence of the old NR sound and this could make the album dissapointing somehow...this album is filled up with modern rock tunes that you might find in bands such as Matchbox Twenty for example but perhaps more guitar orientated..anyway about the songs that could be mentioned in a good way "Tell Your Vision","Whatever Happened","There Is Life" this one could be the only one with that unique NR old sound or at least is pretty close to it,"Rock Star" is cool, acceptable,"Hole In The Sun" sounds like a track taken from an Aerosmith album..."White Knuckle Ride","Revelation 4 am" & "Wrap It Up" are the best, being the last one the highlight of the album.Don't misunderstand me,NightRanger is a fantastic, here they could have done better.84/100

this is NIGHT RANGER s weakest release!not a bad one ,but surely not in the lever of their previous releases.the sound is strong and updated, the vocs are ok and the songwriting just acceptable.highlights are "tell your vision","fool in me" and "wrap it up" .always wanting more from an important band like the rangers

From: MelodicMetal4Ever Date: November 8, 2011 at 15:17
The first thing you notice about this album is how "modern" sounding it is. Not that that is a BAD thing just not the "old style" of NR. For me the highlight of the album is "White Knuckle Ride". Sounds like a song that bands like Hinder,Burn Halo and Nickelback would have on their albums. I do like the occasional "Modern" hard rock and this song was one i would listen to over and over. The rest of the album is pretty good..not awesome but better then good. give it a listen with an open mind.
