Been rediscovering and digging some of my older cd's and this is one of them. Pretty good mixture of rockers and ballads for these guys and if you ever get the pleasure of seeing these guys perform it live the song 'Seven Wishes' is just heavy and enjoyable as f#@!k in concert. Takes on a whole different vibe. At the peak of their career here and sounds like they're having fun. Great pop-metal worth getting.

This was a bit of a backlash album for Night Ranger & because there's only one ball in ballad, guys who wanted balls & big ones at that argued irrefutably: if you can still rock in America, why the hell were these guys driving the speed limit down Sentimental Street? Live by the ballad, die by the ballad I suppose. Nevertheless, this is a good album but lacks that one undeniable rocker like 'Don't Tell Me You Love Me' (from Dawn Patrol) or 'You Can Still Rock in America' (from Midnight Madness)

A lot of nostalgia in the production of this album. Tracks like Sentimental Street and Goodbye seemed to dictate it and it makes for a great vibe. The high gear Interstate Love Affair is a pet favorite to sing/scream along with, the chorus strikes a wild chord for me. 7 Wishes is among Night Ranger's finest hours (and of all their albums has my favorite cover art!). I just wish Neverland and Seven could be more along the lines of this.

Well, they never quite did it over an entire album, did they? This is about as close as they got though, with some fantastic tunes (Faces, Goodbye, Seven Wishes). Unfortunately it also contains the usual Night Ranger filler (Night Machine, This Boy Needs to Rock). I think a big problem was that they didn't have a dedicated lead vocalist. Worthwhile band...but let's not get too excited.

Pretty good album, I really like the title cut and Faces, Goodbye...some good tunes here. Not a huge fan of 'S.Street' on this one but it is catchy, and I suppose it gained them more fans. Still a worthy addition in the Night Ranger catalog

Another great album from Night Ranger...overall, less ballady than 'Midnight Madness.' Title track is a killer classic along with 'Faces.' I love this entire album as well, even the stuff that people consider to be 'filler' (This Boy Needs To Rock, Night Machine, I Will Follow You). How could one not love singing along to 'Interstate Love Affair' while driving along on the highway with the windows down? 'Sentimental Street' is a gem as well. Another album from this band you should pick up.

'Four in the morning' was a certainty to be my favourite Night Ranger song of all time - I love this song so much, truly one of the classiest melodic rockers out there, but then 'Forever all over again' came along and it was lights out in the playground. Still, for many years 'Four in the morning' had the title. As far as I'm concerned anyway. Overall, cool AOR disc and I prefer it to the previous one.

If Seven Wishes is supposed to be weaker or softer than the first two superb Nightranger albums, I just don't agree. -- Quality? - Excellent. Depth? - Excellent. (Filler?? Sorry - there ain't no filler here). -- The only thing it lacks is one stratospheric clincher like 'Don't Tell Me' or 'Rock In America'.. though 'Boy Needs to Rock' and 'I-LA' both have rating in my book higher than many so called 'rock anthems'!

After 'Dawn Patrol' my favourite NR album. This is brilliant from start to finish and features my 2 favourite NR ballads 'Sentimental Street' & 'Goodbye'. Even on album number 3 their aren't any fillers in sight, and neither would there be until the 'Mojo' album.

From: Rycheage Date: September 13, 2004 at 23:01
The musicianship is there as evidenced by the lack of filler. The songwriting is superb and the structures are strong. I agree with the lack of an 'stratospheric' rocker but there is enought chunk here to keep the faithful happy. Excellent stuff on tap here. Highly recommended.

Songs like Sentimental Street and Four In The Morning make this worth a listen. Seven Wishes is what a heavy song should be, sophisticated with huge and pompous choruses, heavy but still melodic. Excellent.

Good CD - a bit softer than the previous but the harmonies are on par. These guys really never did make a bad record.

The classic Nightranger album. Great songs and great guitar work. They have never made a bad album and they have never topped this.

"Seven Wishes","Four In The Moring" & "Sentimental Street" were the songs that made some noise out of this album being the last one of the 3 i mentioned ("Sentimental Street") a major hit...Night Ranger at its best here!!!.85/100

From: edwithmj Date: March 3, 2011 at 17:01
Worth it for Goodbye alone. This is probably their best ballad. Sentimental Street, Four In The Morning and This Boy Needs To Rock are the other highlights on this one.

From: hair metal again Date: June 13, 2011 at 0:12
fantastic release by the RANGER back in 85.their sound is powerful, polished and ALL the songs are great.i cannot find anything wrong here and 7 WISHES is a hard rock masterpiece in my book."faces","four in the morning" and "sentimental street" the highlights

Eventhough I'm not a real AOR fan I bought it due to the high ratings of their releases on this page. The only thing I knew about them was Brad Gillis playing with Ozzy (not really AOR, isn't it?)What can I say? No thundering drums or screamin' vocals but great musicians, superb song writing and great production/recording instead. It won't be the last one that I'll buy. 85/100

From: Doghouse Reilly Date: February 24, 2015 at 20:10
In hindsight, '85 was kind of a weird year. Metal was having a bad time in the press, with the PMRC shenanigans, and MTV's decision to cut back on hard-rock videos. The genre stilll hadn't attained the level of popularity it would in a couple more years (aided by Bon Jovi, Poison, Def Leppard, etc.), so yeah--1985, kind of weak. So here's Night Range, high on the success of "Sister Christian," offering up a third album of more of the same. By now, it's not just in your mindd, 7 Wishes reallly is a bit mellower, seeming a bit closser to the AOR of the last decade (or what its practitioners were currently up to). There just doesn't seem to be as much guitar bite here. Whether the band was getting softer, or the rest of the world was getting harder, Night Ranger sound pretty tame here. The AOR lovers seem to be more in love with this disc than the headbangers, more so than the previous two. But you know, Night Ranger are total pros and by now what you might calll "commercial craftsmen"--t

Very Good AOR/Hard Rock! Four In The Morning (A1), Faces, Sentimental Street (A1), I Will Follow You, Interstate Love Affair fav tracks, el problema de Night Ranger es que no tienen un album completo, es decir al menos 5 canciones A1 por ejemplo del nivel (Four In the Morning) en un solo album y los otros restantes sean buenos quiza con un relleno, esto haria que la puntuacion no baje de 95, este 85/100.
