| 80's metal to the bone. "We Came To Rock" is the standout song on this disc. Highly recommend to any fan of 80's metal.

| If you liked Cinderella's "Night Songs", this will keep it company nicely in your collection. "Can't Wait For the Night" fires from the same hip as "Nobody's Fool".

| MUY BUEN DISCO.Hard comercial con solos bastante afilados y melodicos(a lo Stryper),los coros parte importantisima de su musica muy buenos,la unica pega para mi es la producción de Michael Wagener,no consigue que suene limpio del todo(sobre todo los coros),la producción es identica al Pride de White Lion o al Keel-Keel que curiosamnete produjo el tambien.Salvo esto y la voz rasgada del cantante a lo AC/DC, UN BUEN DISCO.

| This needs to be remasterd, because the songs are awesome...but the sound is terrible. My favorite on this is 'We Came To Rock'.

| Ok debut release...The production is way too polished though. Would've been better with a harder edge to the mix...Highlights: "Jack is Back", "Barricade", "Assault Attack", "Young, wild & free" & "We came to Rock"

| I agree with koogles somewhat. This is a poor man's Cinderella. Tom Kiefer is a much better songwriter and vocalist, which is what made Cinderella's albums sell better than those of Brighton Rock. But there are still some good mid-80s rock anthems here. "We Came to Rock," is good as is "Can't Wait for the Night," the big ballad here. I like the haunting nature of "Jack is Back" and the keyboards actually accentuate the song during the chorus. Good, but not great. 7/10

| I also agree with koogles, very Cinderella "Night Songish" but with a style all their own, these kanucks really rock, hell, I admit it, some of the songs are better than some of the Cinderella stuff. Especially "Assault Attack" by far the best song, "Can't Wait For The Night" is one of the most beautiful ballads there is. "Jack Is Back" a true rock anthem even the keyboards on this release are just right were they should be.. An excellent choice for all rock fans!!

| Cinderella? Well, considering this album was recorded several months prior to "Night Songs," any similarity is purely coincidental. Didn't all hair-bands play the same two chords in 1986, anyway? The unfortunate and poor sound quality of this CD (so I've been told) was the result of the wrong master tape being delivered to the production facility. By the time the band discovered the mistake it was far too late to remidy the situation. A digital remaster is much needed and deserved!

| Maybe its stupid what i am going to say but this album sound to me like TIGERTAILZ. Very good album in my opinion. Also it sound like a heavier CINDERELLA.

| I remember buying this cassette in Toronto when it came out. My first fear was "oh shit,its one of those pretty boy bands like Glass Tiger" That soon was confirmed as false and this cassette was probally played more than any other in the summer. I actually like the crappy production..it makes it a little more raw

| The debut only really offered glimses of the bands potential, certainly giving us only a few hints of what was the follow. Was much harder rocking than "Take a Deep Breath" was to be, and the songwriting was very raw. Hard rock fans will undoubtedly prefer this, but I find the follow-up far more palatable and it's where they developed their disctinctive sound. This one has every 80's hard rock cliche going. They've always know how to write a great ballad though... 7/10.

| I have this one on vinyl. Bought if the week it came out. We Came to Rock is a stellar tune. Can't Wait for the Night and the title track are good tunes too. Not earth moving by any means but worth a spin. I have to say I listened to this album alot back in the day.

| I like this band (Though not overly so the vocals) and this is a good solid hard rock CD, but certainly not a fave of mine. Good CD, but not great. Well played hard rock, decent songs but no real stand-outs for me.

| The song "Barricade" feature some of the biggest backing vocals I've ever heard on a hard rock cd. Good track in general. "Can't Wait For the Night" is a sweet ballad, "Rock 'n' Roll Kid" and the title track are both great hard rock anthems and "We Came To Rock" is also a standout. There's nothing on here that hasn't been done before, but if you like standard 80's hard rock/metal you will also like this. Great CD.

| Not the brightest star of the late 80s scene, but not bad. Production ain't great, but we've heard worse, and if their sound is cliche by today's standards, it fit right in with the hair-metal scene of '86 like rocks fit into the cranial space where Jessica Simpson's brain should be. It might not drive you wild, but it's better than their weak sophomore effort ("Take a Deep Breath"). Not the band's worst CD, nor is it their best (that honor goes to "Love Machine"), just a solid hard rock album.

| Gran disco, la voz me recuerda al cantante de Cinderella por sus dobladas de voz finas y degarradas;canciones de buen nivel compositivo, grandes coros a lo Accept,guitarras endurecidas,solos excelentes y teclados bien puestos Young, wild & free, We came to rock,Change of heart temazos,Can´t wait for the night hermosa balada Assault attack como dije que coros!!, es un buen grupo de hard rock con coros heavy y temas melódicos de buen nivel.8.5/10

HUGE CD 99/100  / buy or die Highly recommend to any fan of CANADIAN 80's HARD ROCK/AOR / The production it's a little weak now ,but back in the days it was HUGE i still love it ! Jerry McGhee he's one of my vocal heroes what a voice !!!!/it's the proof that you can make AOR Music with BALLS/COUILLES/COJONES ! the songwriting it's nearly perfect ! HUGE GREAT TERRIFIC

| tremendos temas de HardRock "Change Of Heart, Save Me, Rock'N' Roll Kid" Jerry McGhee tiene una voz exelente que le da vida a esta su tremenda obra de un decente hardRock Classic, pero no me olvido de mi cancion favorita "Nobody's Hero" esquicites de tema.. con unos sonidos letales...

| Good Hard Rock/Hair Metal album!.The opener "Young,Wild & Free" is a good example of what this album is all about.Some people compare this album or band with Cinderella but i do not hear any similarities,for me they were more into Pretty Maids or perhaps Herricane Alice.Anyway good album but far a classic.70/100

| Very good hard rock album . Though similar to Cinderella it is much better The musicianship is superiour and the melodies are more adrenaline-pumping.It seems Canadians are born with melodies in their genes. The highligts being :Young wild and free ,Assault attack , Save me and Jack is back which could easilly have been written by Blackie Lawless.

I think i will re-comment this again...here, honestly,Jerry McGhee didn't sing as good as their following albums...nervous?,scare?,first album?..who knows!,but honestly the man got a big impulse afterwards(not in here) which of course was good 4 the cause...still major kicking a***s songs here...faves:"Young Wild & Free"(catchy vibe),"We Came To Rock" is an AOR flavoured one along with "Change Of Heart" & "Jack Is Back"..."Nobody's Hero" a goodie one & "Rock 'N' Roll Kid"  ...even that i wasn't satisfied with Jerry's voice here at all,my rate is gonna be higher than the first comment i wrote back in 2008...87/100

| For me my favourite of their releases. Great songs the imagery everything is just so 1986 the way I remember it. The feel of Rock music at that time. 85/100.
