| It's all right, but not the band's best, at least IMHO. The album feels more like an attempt to get the best of both worlds by grabing some alternative fans as well as trying to maintain their core base, and they didn't totally succeed in either case. The songwriting is all right, and Doug Aldrich's playing is great, but I got a little too distracted by all the studio effects superimposed over the songs. The Japanese import is somewhat better because it has more of a hard rock feel to it.

| Not bad, but not as good as the band's earlier stuff. Still, I wouldn't call it a piece of crap; it's just a traditional hard rock band beefing up their sound with some modern tricks. Sure, the adjustment will no doubt have fans in an uproar, but those with more open minds can find plenty of hard-hitting hard rock/metal here to enjoy. Calling this "grunge" is inaccurate; it's really just old-school hard rock packaged up to appeal to the masses.

| A little less impressive but I think musical direction changes are in order for Doug. Still having said that, An important piece of musical history if only for the guitar virtuosity alone.

| PLEASE don't take the above bashing of CD to heart. This is a EXCELLENT album. I have NO IDEA where they think this is Grunge!!?? Not even close. Doug's guitar riffs are in fine form and pissed off! Both Kal and Doug were trying something heavier as songwriting goes. The lyrics finally have depth and meaning. I think Kal had something he wanted to say other than the standard girls/cars/party lyrics that rock and roll has come to know. I like that stuff too, but this CD just KILLS ME! A MUST HAVE

| I agree with BOLIN44 for the most part on this. For the record, if this is grunge, then buy me a flannel and call me Mr. Vedder. It definitely doesn't sound as "Lion-like" as the first two, but it's a damn good effort with some ass kicking riffs on it. Kal's vocals are in top form and there's no such thing as a bad Doug Aldrich riff. A bit darker on the lyrical front, but the hooks are good, and did I mention the ass kicking riffs? See "Rivers Run Red" in particular... SMOKIN'!!!

| This ain't grunge, but it's not classic hardrock neither. In fact, it's kind of modern hardrock and nothing special at all. Some will like this, others won't. I can listen to this, but won't call this smokin' ! Therefore it's too average ! Average songs, hooks ? (where ?) and not that melodic. No question that Aldrich is a fine guitarist, but this is not his best work at all. For good hardrock I prefer to listen to 'Heaven And Hell' from Sabbath with Dio. It blows this CD simply away !

| I find myself somewhat indifferent about this one. The sound of the band has shifted yet again and this time a much heavier and darker element is brought to life. Now while in terms of guitar this is great news, as it add so much more balls, texture, and increased solo work, but somehow something else is lost somewhere. There is still some first class material here don't get me wrong, but gone are the sounds of Lion. Good, but very different. Can't put my finger on it, but I still like it a lot.

| Great album but I am partial to Doug Aldrich. This has some fantastic guitar work which you should not try at home. If you like your rock with a hard edge then this is for you. If you like Firehouse/Dokken (i do like these bands as well) style ect this may not be for you. A msut have for the heavy metal collector. 90/100

| Sorry you don't like this album shoemaker !! It is a difference of musical taste. This may not be for everyone but if it was it would be on all the radio play then wouldn't it ? We all have an opinion and I try not to bash anyone's but really a 10/100 ? I would save that for some grunge music or some rap music.

| Another boring album by Bad Moon Rising. Can't understand what's so great about them...While they have great members they just fail to deliver the goods. Ok, I don't agree with ratings like 10/100 but 90/100 is almost equally unreasonable...Average songs performed good, That's all about this album...

Not a completely waste IMO...they took some "alternative sounds" in some songs mainly because of the year it was recorded(1995,grunge time shamely)and obviously the Record Labels were betting in everything related with that genre and some Hard Rock bands had to risk themselves otherwise the word "fired" was just around the corner...from this album i save tracks 1,2,4(rocks good!),6,7(nice),8 & 10...for me is an enjoyable release...86/100
