Very Good Modern Melodic Hard Rock but not Great, the cover is similar to Saint Seiya |

This is not hard rock. This is love metal. I prefer HIM and Icon & the Black Roses. Cheers. |

Icon? lol, that's random. I prefer Icon too, but Lovex are a good solid slightly modern hard rock band... a million miles better than HIM, imo. The album is a nice step up from what was already a good debut. A lot of good tracks here and worth checking out for sure. |

"Icon & the Black Roses" is another love metal band. It´s Ok to say that this kind of bands play melodic rock, but I don´t agree to those who say it´s hard rock. I´m not saying this is bad or which is better, I´m just sayin´ what I prefer or think. P.D.: Sorry Geoff, I´m not an imo |

Loved the debut, love this one even more. The songwriting has come on leaps and bounds since 'Divine Insanity' and some of the arrangemments on this new set of tunes are huge, even nearly crossing into Nightwish territory with the orchestral backing on a couple of tunes. This is very consistent all the way through, and I can honestly say there isn't one song on here I don't like. The first half is definitely the stronger, but all in all, this is a tremendous disc and anyone who likes good 'Hard Rock' music in general,is advised to give this one a go. Excellent. |

Modern-ish hard rock that almost seems robbed of its hardness like an ice cube on an erection due to the overly lush arrangements and spit-polished production. I can't pretend that I hate this album, but I can't pretend that I like it either. Nothing about this CD engaged me, and while from a detached perspective I can acknowledge it's technically a good album, I personally was as bored listening to it as a hooker turning her twentieth trick of the day. I spun it twice to see if my 2nd impression would be better than my initial one, but about halfway through I simply surrendered to the fact that this just wasn't doing it for me...kind of like the girl I dated back in college. |
