I like this, but not nearly as much as a lot of reviews I've seen. 'Eruption' is a very cool track, but if you ask me their best track is still 'Murder 101', which was on their debut EP too. The ballad, 'Between a Rock and a Hard Place' is nice enough, but really exposes the vocalist, imo. Stuff like '1-800-Pleasuretown' and 'On the Run' is cool enough too, and the album is decent. It just seems like they know how to write a great hook ('Murder 101') but just didn't put it to practice on many songs here. A few tracks sound a little, dare I say, unfinished? Either way, I like it and it's a pretty cool release. |

What the f is going on with the band member's names. Strewth! Ridiculous. Anyways, good little release including of course the delicious 'Murder 101' with a hook to die for, but as Geoff says some of the other tracks fall a bit short. The nearest comparison is probably HEAT, so if youre a fan of them you will probably like this album, but be warned this is nowhere near the quality of the HEAT debut and I fully expect the new HEAT to slay this and then some. Worth a listen tho. |

This is one good band, 'Murder 101' was the song that made me get this one, '1-800Pleasuretown', Rock City, enjoyable moment, short songs, about 3:15 average. for Hard Rock fan this is more AOR for me. Good One Guys! |

This is a raw mix of Motley Crue,Buckcherry and Hanoi Rocks but with some modern touches..very enjoyable album if you are into this kind of punk/glam bands with what we call "new sound of the time"...a very catchy album indeed.."I Don't Need Saving" is explosive,"Rock City" is punk rock and glam in its pure essence,"On The Run" very catchy,"Wild Tonight" is one of the best tracks,"Rocketship Of Love" is Pop/Glam,"Between A Rock nad A Hard Place" is a nice semi ballad, their very own "Home Sweet Home" song,"Vampire" is another "best" in the album,"Murder 101" is a cool song with AOR touches here and there with some cool keys,"1-800-Pleasuretown" rocks the house and "The Whole Nine Yards" closes the album acoustically good..perhaps nothing new is here but the band surely rocks!.92/100 |
