Another one of my favorites. This Cd seemed alittle more over produced than Dynasty to give it alittle more different sound(polished).I wish Peter and Ace had enjoyed the direction the band was taking I'm sure that would've made there next Cd even better.

This album marked the end of the road for our fabulous four. I love the album cover but it's not a hard driving album like the first eight. It's got melodic moments but not even close to classic KISS album. I love these guys but don't want to steer anyone who doesn't have this album in the wrong direction. If you love KISS, buy it, if your a curious fan, buy it in the discount rack.

When I first played this album I hated it!!!!!! Then I decided to give it another listen, and it has become one of my favorite KISS albums. Every song is awesome on this album, I love them all, I cant even pick a favorite song. KISS fans even though the sound is different definatly give this album a try. It might take a couple of listens but I think its worth it.

This is very poppy for KISS, but a couple of listens and you should really enjoy it. I had to listen a couple of times before I could really enjoy it. I love all the tracks on the album. check it out you will be pretty impressed.

I vaguely remember reading somewhere that the members of Kiss were saying this was one of their least favourite releases. This is actually a departure from most Kiss releases.........it's extremely melodic . This album along with 'Dynasty' and 'Crazy Nights' are probably the most radio friendly efforts this band has put out.I really like this( as much as their thirty other releases).Every track was good.

In my opinion, this is possibly the worst album ever released by a hard rock band. Its a mystery to me why this band made Destroyer, which has the ultimate sound, and production, and then years later recording this load of crap.

From: Poison Arrow |

nah it's not crap at all. 'is that you' is a killer track, and the album is very listenable and grows more an more each spin. some classics on here and the bubblegum style is to be admired. shows the band's variety. KISS rule!!

Hi Poison Arrow, its all a matter of opinion I guess. I really think Kiss made some killer albums way back, but they sure put out some crap too. I think this was a pleaser for the recordcompany and the fans. Keep rockin`

this album shows how much impact a producer has on an album.actually most of the songs are good..they are poppier than previous stuff, but still rock good(hey that did wonders for leppard, van hagar and aerosmith)but the production is horrible!!all the guitars and drums sound like they are being smothered by pillows..if vini poncias name is on the next kiss album i wont buy it(wasnt he involved with 'hot in the shade' too?blah)

Not the best release Kiss ever did. But, you know, I always thought this album suffered from a bad production. I dont know, I didn't think it had a full sound. Give this album a more, how shall I say it, FULL sound and I think people might appreciate it more. Why not...you can touch up this album, put it out again so Gene can make some more money. Mention money and Gene would even do a polka album if he thought he could make a buck.

Boy where to begin with this release huh? Had a band other than Kiss released this album in 80' this record would have been huge because forgetting it's Kiss this has some really well written melodic pop-rock songs no doubt about it. But how can you seperate the fact that the same band that sledgehammered you with 'Alive' made this disc? Therein lies the problem. Has a cool 'summer time' vibe to it that's worth another listen in 2003.

bought this at a used cd store so it was only four bucks thankfully. I really don't like this CD probably because the first KISS album I ever listened to was Revenge so this one's very 'on the ground' and Revenge is very 'in the sky' ok that sounded lame lol i wanted to sell this cd the first day i got it after listening to it only once, but i decided to keep it so i would have more than one kiss cd and a u can see im just now getting into kiss so... yah bye peeps

About ten years ago I saw an Ace Frehly solo gig in New Jersey and to my surprise he performed 'Talk To Me' off of this album. I think I was the only person in the room who knew the song! It's one of the better songs on this rather sub-par Kiss outing. Worth picking up for 'Shandi' (which was a huge hit in Australia, apparently) and 'Talk To Me,' but other than that not essential unless you're just trying to collect all the Kiss albums...

Remember this, the band had been going through turbulence for 5 years at this point and had record company obligations to fill. Peter and Ace had little to do with this effort. Peter was all but gone at this point, and Ace had one foot out the door. With this in mind, I think that this is a good album and set the stage for the Paul Stanley era. Bear in mind I am a die hard KISS fan and have every record. The ELDER is at the bottom of the heap and this rocks in comparison.

I think this is one of the most underated albums of the time. Talk To Me, Naked City, What Makes The World Go Round are all excellent melodic rock tracks. The highlight for me though is She's So European which I think is one of the best Kiss tracks ever. The production holds up well and the band sound like they were stretching the boundaries a little as the songs were very original soundwise compared to alot of what Kiss did before and indeed afterwards.

kiss turn disco!Althrough this is no abba and it contain lots of hard rock music, they still got those groovy feel in it(ugghhh),especially shandi, naked city and talk to me.Perhaps the worst album produce in kiss's illustrious career. Not recommended to any fan of hard rock. Maybe more suitable for fans of heavy disco.Very disappointing album from one of the hottest rock band of all-time.

Wow, what I'm going to say will some piss off but Kiss is a kid (10 to 15 years old !)act, without any talent ! Just show, just one riff, and that's their career ! And know they do everything to make easy money ! Releasing thing after thing (always the same, nothing new) to take the money and run. And a lot of people still support 'em on that ! What a crazy world. Creativity ? None ! Recycling : always ! O.K. : they once had some decent tracks : Love Gun, Detroit Rock City etc., but that's it

One of the most famous acts ever. Hmm . . ., is it because you are famous that you're good ? ! HA HA ! Well, Eminem and Usher are even more famous know ! I suppose you also like them, Chevalier ! Well, you have no character, my friend. You are following the hypes, what others like. Learn to have you OWN opinion, even it's not what the biggest part of the world think ! That's called freedom ! And that you're still young and 'innocent' has been proven here : you like Kiss ! Well, well !

This was poppy and disco-era KISS. Not bad, but not the fire-breathing giant who gave us 'Destroyer' and 'Love Gun'. "Talk To Me", "Naked City", "What Makes The World Go 'Round", and "Shandi" are all excellent songs but not what we're used to from the mighty KISS.

This is really a Paul Stanley solo Album as Peter Played Nothing on it, Ace only Played on 2 songs and Gene only sang on the songs he Wrote. Bob Kulick Played most of the Lead guitar and Paul Played ALL The Rythmn Guitar And Bass. Anton Fig played The drums!

This album got a bad rap because its pop rock. It does have some great tracks...easy as it seems is a ripper, tomorrow, what makes the world go round. considering the band was falling/had fallen apart, this is a good effort.
