This was a different kiss namley because they did songs left over from dynasty and peter left half way through but did enjoy-naked city-shandi-tomorow i give it a 7/10

From: nighttiger Date: November 28, 2001 at 22:29
Another one of my favorites. This Cd seemed alittle more over produced than Dynasty to give it alittle more different sound(polished).I wish Peter and Ace had enjoyed the direction the band was taking I'm sure that would've made there next Cd even better.

From: Curious B Date: February 1, 2002 at 6:39
This album marked the end of the road for our fabulous four. I love the album cover but it's not a hard driving album like the first eight. It's got melodic moments but not even close to classic KISS album. I love these guys but don't want to steer anyone who doesn't have this album in the wrong direction. If you love KISS, buy it, if your a curious fan, buy it in the discount rack.

From: RichieRocker Date: September 14, 2002 at 20:52
When I first played this album I hated it!!!!!! Then I decided to give it another listen, and it has become one of my favorite KISS albums. Every song is awesome on this album, I love them all, I cant even pick a favorite song. KISS fans even though the sound is different definatly give this album a try. It might take a couple of listens but I think its worth it.

From: RichieRocker Date: September 16, 2002 at 21:36
This is very poppy for KISS, but a couple of listens and you should really enjoy it. I had to listen a couple of times before I could really enjoy it. I love all the tracks on the album. check it out you will be pretty impressed.

From: Richard H Date: September 27, 2002 at 1:37
I vaguely remember reading somewhere that the members of Kiss were saying this was one of their least favourite releases. This is actually a departure from most Kiss's extremely melodic . This album along with 'Dynasty' and 'Crazy Nights' are probably the most radio friendly efforts this band has put out.I really like this( as much as their thirty other releases).Every track was good.

From: Great Dane Date: December 29, 2002 at 23:25
In my opinion, this is possibly the worst album ever released by a hard rock band. Its a mystery to me why this band made Destroyer, which has the ultimate sound, and production, and then years later recording this load of crap.

From: Poison Arrow Date: December 31, 2002 at 2:20
nah it's not crap at all. 'is that you' is a killer track, and the album is very listenable and grows more an more each spin. some classics on here and the bubblegum style is to be admired. shows the band's variety. KISS rule!!

From: Great Dane Date: December 31, 2002 at 7:54
Hi Poison Arrow, its all a matter of opinion I guess. I really think Kiss made some killer albums way back, but they sure put out some crap too. I think this was a pleaser for the recordcompany and the fans. Keep rockin`

From: iNjEcTtheVeNoM Date: January 21, 2003 at 17:54
this album shows how much impact a producer has on an album.actually most of the songs are good..they are poppier than previous stuff, but still rock good(hey that did wonders for leppard, van hagar and aerosmith)but the production is horrible!!all the guitars and drums sound like they are being smothered by pillows..if vini poncias name is on the next kiss album i wont buy it(wasnt he involved with 'hot in the shade' too?blah)

From: Great Dane Date: March 7, 2003 at 19:25
What a sellout ..... And what a load of crap this release was.

From: CHIRO Date: April 8, 2003 at 22:49

From: steve Date: May 7, 2003 at 12:58
great dane your right, this is a load of crap, i have this cd and i thought it sucked

From: keebler Date: May 28, 2003 at 4:17
it has it's moments but not a great kiss album.

From: SPOTLIGHT Date: May 30, 2003 at 3:32
Not the best release Kiss ever did. But, you know, I always thought this album suffered from a bad production. I dont know, I didn't think it had a full sound. Give this album a more, how shall I say it, FULL sound and I think people might appreciate it more. Why can touch up this album, put it out again so Gene can make some more money. Mention money and Gene would even do a polka album if he thought he could make a buck.

From: Tony Date: June 1, 2003 at 6:18
Boy where to begin with this release huh? Had a band other than Kiss released this album in 80' this record would have been huge because forgetting it's Kiss this has some really well written melodic pop-rock songs no doubt about it. But how can you seperate the fact that the same band that sledgehammered you with 'Alive' made this disc? Therein lies the problem. Has a cool 'summer time' vibe to it that's worth another listen in 2003.

From: Chris. Date: October 30, 2003 at 10:14
Great alabum. Different yes, but still a damned fine record. Some killer songs and Stanley on top form.

From: kissandacdclove Date: January 2, 2004 at 15:11
bought this at a used cd store so it was only four bucks thankfully. I really don't like this CD probably because the first KISS album I ever listened to was Revenge so this one's very 'on the ground' and Revenge is very 'in the sky' ok that sounded lame lol i wanted to sell this cd the first day i got it after listening to it only once, but i decided to keep it so i would have more than one kiss cd and a u can see im just now getting into kiss so... yah bye peeps

From: Fat Freddy Date: January 2, 2004 at 15:55
About ten years ago I saw an Ace Frehly solo gig in New Jersey and to my surprise he performed 'Talk To Me' off of this album. I think I was the only person in the room who knew the song! It's one of the better songs on this rather sub-par Kiss outing. Worth picking up for 'Shandi' (which was a huge hit in Australia, apparently) and 'Talk To Me,' but other than that not essential unless you're just trying to collect all the Kiss albums...

From: Apoc_DOP Date: January 2, 2004 at 18:43
Remember this, the band had been going through turbulence for 5 years at this point and had record company obligations to fill. Peter and Ace had little to do with this effort. Peter was all but gone at this point, and Ace had one foot out the door. With this in mind, I think that this is a good album and set the stage for the Paul Stanley era. Bear in mind I am a die hard KISS fan and have every record. The ELDER is at the bottom of the heap and this rocks in comparison.

From: run2u Date: March 26, 2004 at 12:49

From: omar Date: March 30, 2004 at 2:09
I had this album before and it was great I like Shandi and Naked City

From: Great Dane Date: April 15, 2004 at 21:52
Omar ...... are you Paul or Gene.?

From: Rockhead Date: April 16, 2004 at 5:30
I think this is one of the most underated albums of the time. Talk To Me, Naked City, What Makes The World Go Round are all excellent melodic rock tracks. The highlight for me though is She's So European which I think is one of the best Kiss tracks ever. The production holds up well and the band sound like they were stretching the boundaries a little as the songs were very original soundwise compared to alot of what Kiss did before and indeed afterwards.

From: tomcat Date: April 17, 2004 at 5:06
always been a kiss fan, and i'm not alone in this but this is actually one of my favorite kiss albums...

From: jack Date: May 21, 2004 at 2:53
kiss turn disco!Althrough this is no abba and it contain lots of hard rock music, they still got those groovy feel in it(ugghhh),especially shandi, naked city and talk to me.Perhaps the worst album produce in kiss's illustrious career. Not recommended to any fan of hard rock. Maybe more suitable for fans of heavy disco.Very disappointing album from one of the hottest rock band of all-time.

From: jack Date: May 21, 2004 at 2:54
Sorry,my in the shade is the worst, not this one!

From: K.K. Poland Date: August 16, 2004 at 5:25
good album , is that you, shandi and tomorrow are my favourite, Stanley rules!!

From: AOR freaky Date: August 16, 2004 at 6:13
Wow, what I'm going to say will some piss off but Kiss is a kid (10 to 15 years old !)act, without any talent ! Just show, just one riff, and that's their career ! And know they do everything to make easy money ! Releasing thing after thing (always the same, nothing new) to take the money and run. And a lot of people still support 'em on that ! What a crazy world. Creativity ? None ! Recycling : always ! O.K. : they once had some decent tracks : Love Gun, Detroit Rock City etc., but that's it

From: Chevalier Date: August 16, 2004 at 7:16
Cool. That was the best comment on one of the most famous band ever.We all were waiting for your comment Aor freak.Very clear and precise. Now we all know what Kiss is about.Keep on like that fella.U got some future as a big critic.Did u also played on some famous albums we all know?Maybe your experience could help us throw some stuff we still listen to.Make us a list.Don't worry about comments.

From: AOR freaky Date: August 16, 2004 at 15:29
One of the most famous acts ever. Hmm . . ., is it because you are famous that you're good ? ! HA HA ! Well, Eminem and Usher are even more famous know ! I suppose you also like them, Chevalier ! Well, you have no character, my friend. You are following the hypes, what others like. Learn to have you OWN opinion, even it's not what the biggest part of the world think ! That's called freedom ! And that you're still young and 'innocent' has been proven here : you like Kiss ! Well, well !

From: Chevalier Date: August 16, 2004 at 18:00
Good point.great point as always.Character:the more u talk shit about artits the more u have personality.Great point. No i don't have character so.I leave that kinda character to u my friend.I don't want have opinions if they have to be like yours.(i don't see so many people who likes your opinion anyway).U talk about kiss like success with one riff.that's the crap u took out haven't you? That says anything.your lack of familiarity with the genre.U talk about freedom! You're crazy man!we're only di

From: Date: August 16, 2004 at 18:03
scussing about music!!It's not about freedom of opinion bullshit...and it's not telling everyone who has an argu with u that u're older and we're all kids that u are right. Not really(bytheway i'm older than u might think!unfortuantely)

From: Rycheage Date: August 16, 2004 at 22:41
This was poppy and disco-era KISS. Not bad, but not the fire-breathing giant who gave us 'Destroyer' and 'Love Gun'. "Talk To Me", "Naked City", "What Makes The World Go 'Round", and "Shandi" are all excellent songs but not what we're used to from the mighty KISS.

From: Metalhead66 Date: January 26, 2005 at 11:46
This is really a Paul Stanley solo Album as Peter Played Nothing on it, Ace only Played on 2 songs and Gene only sang on the songs he Wrote. Bob Kulick Played most of the Lead guitar and Paul Played ALL The Rythmn Guitar And Bass. Anton Fig played The drums!

From: Big Mike Date: February 17, 2005 at 13:16
This album got a bad rap because its pop rock. It does have some great tracks...easy as it seems is a ripper, tomorrow, what makes the world go round. considering the band was falling/had fallen apart, this is a good effort.

From: rene Date: January 12, 2006 at 17:23

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: April 23, 2006 at 12:52

From: pie75 Date: July 26, 2010 at 1:12
fat freedy you're right it shandi was a huge hit back here in australia and to this fay they play it here in concert or should i say paul does on his own much prefer the live version is that you is a really good song and ace's talk to me is good too like the naked city other than that the rest is ok not one of my favourite kiss albums that's for sure

From: rick kerch vzla Date: February 23, 2016 at 15:51
A commercial band in here with Hard Rock/Pop songs all over...tracks 1,2(nice),5,6,7,8 & 9 are acceptable ones...78/100
