|I have always rated Destroyer as beeing KISS`s best release. Hotter Than Hell is equally as good, but lacks good production. Just look at the tracklist. Pure classics. Compare that to many later releases, including Psycho Circus. This is one HELL collection of good tracks.

|great songs on this one.the production was very"muddy"compared to albums 1 and 3,but it kinda gives it its own unique feel.sounds dated but as a slice of early 70's NYC rock n roll its perfect.the best "forgotten"songs are "strange ways"(one of thier heaviest songs ever)and"comin home".really heavy and the filler stuff is fun too.their best cover ever and love those cool lil' pics on the back.very imaginative packaging and a great album if u dont mind it sounding straight out of the 70's.

|as with the name i am a big mark for kiss. in saying this hotter is the weakest of the first five records they put out. being a fan of this band since 1978 this would not be a cd i would recommend for the uninitiated.

|They should have let Peter sing more. His dirty vocals in songs like 'Mainline' are the tits. That said...even the remaster is horribly produced, but the songs are notch. Ace's solo at the end of 'Strange Ways' is the reason so many kids picked up a guitar in the first place.

|Definetly 70's Kiss heaviest album.Very dark and menacing.A muddy mix that remastering coudnt save(which probably adds to the vibe).This is Kiss before money,merchandising,and internal problems."Parasite" is my pers. fave.

|I think if I had to pick a favorite 70s Kiss album, it would be a tie between this and the debut. I never get tired of "Strange Ways," "Parasite," and "Watchin' You." I agree with Johnny cat, this was Kiss in its purest form, before the big success when they were simply writing solid, bad-ass songs.

|i love the muddy sound on this cd. it just gives it the edge.

|This album is so cool, the asian packaging, the cool,muddy production-it was actually a plus here!Johnny Cat, your right,this was Kiss when they were still about the music, before money & record co. suits ruined them.Honest, heavy music. Strange Ways and Goin' Blind are two of the best forgotten Kiss tracks that exist.Sorry Kim,compared to Hoter Than Hell, Destroyer sucked! Hotter Than Hell is the second Kiss album you should own, Alive is the first.

|good album, but I prefer '80.
||Date: May 22, 2006 at 15:43|
|This is of course their 2nd album and not their first. Not a classic but most of the album still holds up well.
||Date: May 26, 2007 at 16:47|
|I love this disc. Parasite and Watching you are classics but it's the obscure stuff like All the Way, Mainline and Comin' Home that I like best.
||Date: December 14, 2009 at 1:03|
|This album is a psychedelic glam monster. Scary stuff, good stuff, classic stuff. KISS at their early best, PERIOD.
