Like the others great Kiss albuns: Paul's songs are part of the amazing hard rock songs and Gene's are... are... don't even listen to them... Who Wants To Be Lonely, Tears Are Falling and Uh! All Night are infinitly better than Trial By Fire, Love's a Deadly Weapon and other Gene's pieces of shit!

From: Leather Guy Date: August 21, 2001 at 23:11
Hahahhaha! Mais uma vez chutaram o cu do Reno Mas é um perdedor mesmo..... hahahaha

From: Curious B Date: January 31, 2002 at 13:44
I remember buying this album on the day it came out. I was so excited and then I saw the album cover. I knew the album would suck. I'm a huge KISS fan and think this album was the end of the great songs. Paul has his moments but Gene is so caught up in the "I know what I want and I know what I need attitude". Stay away from this. If you're a dedicated fan, just buy it for your collection and leave it on the shelf.

From: Motley Date: February 4, 2002 at 14:37
It took me many years to love this album only because of the cover, it somehow destroyed the feeling when you heard it. Now I just love King of the mountain, Im alive, Uh all night and Tears are falling.

From: thunderkiss Date: March 1, 2002 at 4:35
i love kiss, but this is the worst album, horrible cover, bad songs.

From: GIORGOS Date: March 8, 2002 at 12:52
The album is not bad , but again it's just the songs by Paul which are worth-listened. "Uh all Night" is the top one.

From: Hard Na Veia Date: March 30, 2002 at 11:53
One of the best KISS albuns! Uh! All Night tells everything about a hard rocker's life! Yeah!

From: Tony Date: April 18, 2002 at 9:39
For the time it was a pretty good cd. Indicative of the time for Kiss Paul's songs were just top notch and perfect "pop-metal" while was there a worse songwriter than Gene Simmons between 1984 & 1992??

From: richierocker Date: May 19, 2002 at 15:48
The cover sucks and some of the songs are decent. But Bruce Kulick can really play a mean guitar and Pauls songs saved this album.

From: jarett r. Date: August 10, 2002 at 11:18
before kiss, bruce kulick played with michael bolton both in blackjack and michael bolton solo. michael bolton also co-wrote "forever".

From: RichieRocker Date: September 16, 2002 at 21:51
A great debut album for Bruce Kulick, A very underrated axeman. this album is heavy but not as much as Animalize. ALl the songs are solid on this album, check out 2,6,7,8,9,10

From: nitrodoll Date: November 19, 2002 at 6:36
yep, bruce kullick is very underrated.. i remember having this album as a kid ..not their best..i also have some bootlegs from that period.. and the videos they did...you had to wear your shades to be able to see them..all that neon....

From: iNjEcTtheVeNoM Date: January 21, 2003 at 16:55
yeah, this is the absolute worst cover kiss,or maybe any hard rock/metal band ever did...what were they thinking?overall a good album but nowhere near the previous 3..the beginning of the end of a great 4 year run by the band.most of the songs are uninspired and the production seems to be blunting the "metal edge" of the previous 3..BIG mistake."king of the mountain" is a classic a great song(they did it great live too..to bad it will never be heard again)"tears are falling"was a decent hit song.

From: CHIRO Date: April 9, 2003 at 20:34
A STEP BEHIND FROM A REGULAR ALBUM!!!!THE COOL STUFF:ANYWAY YOU...WHO WANTS TO BE...TEARS ARE FALLING...UH ALL NITE 4 OF 10!!!!THAT'S NOT GOOD......AND ANOTHER THING....RADAR FOR LOVE REMINDS ME TO WHO LOTTA LOVE(LED ZEPPELIN).....

From: Dave Loff Date: June 30, 2003 at 16:26
I think KISS's music is great on this album, but not as good as ANIMALIZE. Gene Simmons is so talented with the guitar(Very Fast!!), also very fast using the type-writer as well. One thing that I can't understand is that someone like Gene Simmons with his high level of intelligence & talent would live such a Carnal lifestyle and doesn't focus on spiritual things that much in Kiss's music. Rock On!!! from Dave L.

From: Gar Date: June 30, 2003 at 16:48
He does it because he can! Back to ASYLUM, this is a pretty lackluster affair. There are a few good songs here, but the majority is really 2nd rate. Skip it.

From: glammyboy Date: November 28, 2003 at 15:52

From: Apoc_DOP Date: January 2, 2004 at 19:50
This album seemed to be the Paul Stanley Group. But the Gene songs are some of my favorites. He was still making movies and "wasn't all there". Definitely had an impact on the overall album, but I still love it. This was the album I stayed up listening to in the wee hours of the morning as a teenager. Eric Carr got me into drumming on this record, and when I saw the video "Kiss: Exposed", I became a fan all over again. It proved that Kiss is timeless and could make a comeback.

From: James Date: March 30, 2004 at 18:12
i bought this album last year at Samgoody in their used section for $3.00 and i looked at the album cover and just readin the songs, i thought it would rock, well, took it home, cranked it up, I"M HOOKED!!!! this is their GREATEST ALL TIME HARD ROCK ALBUM OF THE 80S!!!!! this is the ONLY album that i wanna own, and it KICKS!!! ROCK ON!!!! this is the ONLY album that i like from their 80s day, it makes them look more Hard Rock then their seventies days, this is an excellent album!!! ROCK ON!!!!!!

From: Uncle Salty Date: June 5, 2004 at 17:52
A piece of shit, crap. I only like "Uh all night"

From: jack Date: June 24, 2004 at 5:13
I heard someone telling me that van halen got those psycho ideas where all the members were wraaped like mental patient in the second page of their cover in thier 5150 album from this kiss album! that Sounds ridiculous but this album is not. Actually, this in my opinion is one of kiss's best album. Solid, original as always and excellent songs, this album have a more metal feel in it than most of kiss other album.ratings:9/10

From: Mickbeatle Date: July 15, 2004 at 12:42
I think this is a good album. Paul's songs do save the album! I really like Paul's song writting. Him and Desmond Child make a great team. When you write a song with Desmond Child, you got a hit! I like "Who Want's To Be Lonley", "Tears Are Falling", and "Uh! All Night". Good album.

From: K.K. Poland Date: August 16, 2004 at 5:11
Asylum and Crazy Nights rules!!!! I love asylum - king of the mountain, tears are falling!! great music, great time! 10/10

From: Geoff Date: August 16, 2004 at 19:53
Wow, 10/10. That's ambitious. All entitled to our own opinions, but if this is a 100% perfect album, nothing could have been done better - it's just perfect... well then I have to take a look at the mirror again because maybe I am the perfect model I was hoping to be and can make a career out of posing before the camera. That said, I like 'Tears are falling' and 'Who wants to be lonely' and it's a pretty cool album. 6/10

From: pt88 Date: January 20, 2005 at 13:06
I thought the same way Curious B did. I was really looking forward to the record. I saw the cover and hated it. Was that the best they can do ? Their were a few good songs. Eric's drumming was really good. Some fun, catchy songs. Always like Tears and UH though stupid lyrics. Can't deny the catchiness.

From: Big Mike Date: February 17, 2005 at 13:28
I used to love this album. Today I think the guitars are too high pitched. As gene would say, bruce's guitar sounds like an angry Bee.

From: Joshy St. Jaimz Date: October 12, 2005 at 8:15
If I had to pick one song to recommend to someone, it would have to be without a doubt 'Uh All Night'. Some call it cheesy, but man there can be no denying it kicks major ass (as well as the video). As for the rest of the album, 'Tears are Falling' and 'Who wants to be Lonely' stand out, but worthy mentions must also go to the rest of the tracks such as 'King of the Mountain', 'Anyway you slice it', 'Trial by Fire', and 'Radar For Love'. IMO Kiss at their best in the 80's.

From: Nelson Date: November 9, 2005 at 11:01
Talk about 'UNDERRATED GUITARIST', Bruce Kulick has got to be the MOST, criminally underrated of all. At least, Steve Lynch got his fair share of recognition in his time, Kulick, I think, never had his. He's always been drowned by the legend of the band that he played with (KISS) and the comparison of the albums to their past ones.

From: poproxx2007 Date: December 23, 2005 at 3:01
The filler songs are always by Gene. I wish Paul would of done a real solo album with Desmind Child penned songs. Paul kept this band going when many of the die hards had given up. Good Paul songs!

From: themartin Date: August 13, 2006 at 12:21
At this time Paul carried on with the band on his shoulders alone. And this album is as bas as its cover, I am a HUGE Kiss fan, but there are just 2 good songs among the crap ("Who Wants..." & "Tears..").Gene's songs are unbelievable dreadful ("Trial By Fire") and the videos from the album are soo ridiculous. It's no surprise that at the time they were eclipsed by bands like Ratt or Motley in the Us.Anyway Bruce does an amazing job with is guitar!

From: evileric71 Date: December 21, 2006 at 10:55
THIS ALBUM SUCKS. EVEN THE PAUL SONGS ARE TERRIBLE. NOTHING MORE TO BE SAID HERE

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: May 12, 2007 at 13:39
Very Good Hard Rock, la mayoria de albums de la banda en los 80's estan casi a una misma altura tanto en estilo nivel de albums y buenos cortes Who Wants to be Lonely & Tears Are Falling 2 cortes de AOR PODEROSO y 2 de sus mejores temas que todo amante de lo bueno debe de disfrutar al maximo otro de los discos a tener de esta Gran banda 8.5/10

From: Remastered Reason Date: October 6, 2007 at 0:24
Don't see the big deal about being the worst album cover, though it speaks volumes for the sign of the times. Oh, more importantly are the contents within. 3 tracks standout..."Who Wants to be Lonely", "Tears Are Falling", & "Uh! All Night". The rest? Well, forget it.

From: VICE Date: October 16, 2007 at 4:47
"Tears Are Falling" is such a great song! I love Bruce's guitar solo on it too!

From: kai-2 Date: September 17, 2008 at 20:37
In my opinion, a quite mediocre, although listenable, album. The only four tracks that are worth listening are "King Of The Mountain", "Who Wants To Be Lonely", "Tears Are Falling", and "Uh! All Night" (the videos for the 3 last songs are really funny!!!). As it happened with "Animalize", the rest are fillers.

From: pie75 Date: July 26, 2010 at 1:59
yeah for sure paul saved this album and pretty much saved them in the 80's after lick it up gene seemed to lose the plot and run out of ideas only trial by fire is a good gene song on here his others are alright at best but paul's king of the mountain, who wants to be lonely, tears are falling and uh all night are very good songs

From: edwithmj Date: January 28, 2015 at 12:54
Slightly better than Lick It Up but nowhere near as good as Crazy Nights so I was disappointed when I got this. King of the Mountain is an OK opener but it's not one I come back to. Any Way You Slice It is another OK track that I can take or leave and it has a touch of that horrid rockabilly feel in it. Who Wants to be Lonely is a strange semi-ballad that again, I can take or leave. Trial by Fire is decent enough too. Tears are Falling is my favourite track but that's not saying much; it's another semi-ballad cum rocker that's pretty forgettable. Secretly Cruel is bordering on the dreadful - horrid lyrically and musically. Uh! All Night is a sort of Calling Dr. Love clone and it fails miserably. The "gems" in this are pretty forgettable although decent when heard sporadically while the filler is, as is always the case for Kiss, horrendous.
