From: Mentalizer Date: July 15, 2001 at 22:34
Great album!!! Fantastic cover!!! Glam Glam Glam!!!

From: T-BONE Date: September 3, 2001 at 10:37
For all you Mark St. John fans out there. Go to www.emcrecords.net They just re-released his White Tiger cd that he did after leaving Kiss due to an illness with his hands. Any Kiss fan would want this cd. It's somewhat similar to Kiss Crazy Nights cd. This was very rare when it first came out and now's your chance to get it.

From: Glam-Blooded Date: September 20, 2001 at 20:58
This cover is one of the best ones I've ever seen!! Perfect! It's hard rock running wild in Paul's veins (not in Gene's, of course)!

From: Graham Date: January 1, 2002 at 21:04
One of the best non-makeup albums from the boys. Ace is Ace, but Mark St John is the best guitarist KISS ever had. To bad they sacked him because he was shifting the focus off Stanley & Simmons. Dont believe the BS about his arthritic condition. It was not as serious as 'people' made out. Remember, jealousy is a curse.

From: Curious B Date: January 31, 2002 at 13:59
Ace Frehley is a Legend. Don't ever say Mark was the best guitar player KISS ever had!!!!!!!! This is a decent effort by the band. Heaven's on Fire, Thrills in the Night are highlights of the album.

From: Motley Date: February 4, 2002 at 14:33
Best guitar work I ever heard on a Kiss release. I worship Marks playing here but Ace was the guitarist in KISS.I believe this was my first KISS album, damned I was stunned with the opener. Love the video!!!!!

From: GIORGOS Date: March 8, 2002 at 12:40
Mark St.John comes from nowhere and does miracles in this album! But only the songs sung by Paul are remarkable , especially "I've had enough" is one of their best ever!

From: Tony Date: April 23, 2002 at 10:47
I lost my virginity to "Heaven's On Fire" so a 10 out of 10!!! What was that song 3 minutes long?? So if I remember correctly I got to hear 2:50 of it uncontested. Great cd and practically a Paul Stanley solo record. Loved St. John's playing on it but cripes the guy seems almost embarassed and ashamed he was ever in the band now. And after reading the lyric's to "Burn Bitch Burn" why isn't Gene Simmons writing for Hallmark?? That's the man's true calling by god!!

From: richierocker Date: May 23, 2002 at 16:28
Mark St. John is an awesome guitar player. The way he plays and makes the guitar sound is just unbelievable.

From: RichieRocker Date: September 16, 2002 at 21:48
Unbeliveable Guitar work. Its incredible Mark St.John is awesome. check out all the songs on this album they are fast, furious and in your face.

From: iNjEcTtheVeNoM Date: January 20, 2003 at 18:29
i luv this album and the cover is cool also.just loud, sexy, party hearty rock n roll like old kiss...great catchy riffs, erics thunder drumming and marks sonic (yet melodic)guitar makes this a badass album...no offense to bruce kulick a fine guitarist, but kiss would have done much better with mark the rest of the 80's..he made them heavier, and, imo he had a unique sound that stood out a bit from all the van halen/r.rhoads clones...paul really shines as well

From: CHIRO Date: April 9, 2003 at 20:05
THIS IS REGULAR...MAYBE IF WE TAKE A COUPLE OF SONGS SUCH AS WHILE THE CITY SLEEP,MURDER IN HIGH HEELS,AND LONELY IS THE HUNTER...IT COULD BEEN BETTER.....OR MAYBE JUST IF WE FIRED GENE!!!

From: CHIRO Date: April 9, 2003 at 20:08
AND IF YOU ARE REAL MARK FANS!!!!I GOT ONE COPY OF HIS ALBUM(WHITE TIGER).....AND JUST FOR $20 I'LL SEND IT TO YOU CONTACT:www.chirodalla@independiente.com

From: Reno Date: April 9, 2003 at 21:22
Hey Chiro, I think your SHIFT key might be stuck. Have that checked out by a professional and get back with us on it

From: Trick Taylor Date: April 10, 2003 at 15:33
OK, let's be perfectly honest with ourselves. There are only a handful of KISS' many albums that are remotely musically listenable. Animalize, Alives I and II, Destroyer, Revenge, and Unplugged are about it. The rest are trend chasing, knuckleheaded attempts to put a soundtrack to their live show. I have been a "fan" since seeing them for the first time at 10 years old. I cannot lie any longer. These guys put out more crap than a heard of Rhinos! I feel much better now.

From: Richierocker Date: April 10, 2003 at 17:15
HMMM! I dont know Trick I respect your opinion but I think they made some awseome albums besides this one. Dressed to Kill, Kiss, Love Gun Creatures, just to name a few. But hey you like KISS and thats all that matters. Rock on People.

From: steve Date: May 7, 2003 at 13:05
have it, it is great heavens on fire and under the gun are great

From: Peludito Date: August 10, 2003 at 0:08
These pelegos de tigrezas make this cover a más años oitienta di todos os tiempos!

From: Metal T Date: October 5, 2003 at 22:56
Mark St.John is the only reason to get this disc, his playing is by far the highlight here.Too bad he got screwed by Kiss just like Vinnie did .

From: Chris Date: October 30, 2003 at 10:24
Brilliant album. One of my favourite albums by the band from the 80's. 'I've had enough' is one of the most under rated songs that the band ever recorded, a true classic rock tune. Man, even Gene's songs really kick on this album. Great stuff.

From: Dusty Date: November 15, 2003 at 18:44
This is an incredible album !! What a sound! there's not a bad song on this one, with some amazing guitarwork by Mark st. John. This is a classic

From: Apoc_DOP Date: January 2, 2004 at 19:39
Kiss was a bit lost on this fine record, dream what it would have meant to the rest of the 80's. If Mark had stayed.... but no BRUCE?? Everything happens for a purpose and if you look at the history, Bruce played a lot of the concerts for Animalize. So, if you believe in a conspiracy theory, why was he there at all? Mark had a problem and had to have a backup. This a party album and screams "play me". If it weren't for all the personnel changes, this album would have made history.

From: jack Date: May 21, 2004 at 2:33
This album is not what i expected from someone of kiss's calibre but its fairly to say this album rocks and is good considering what happen to mark's arm. Undoubtedly, heaven's on fire is the best song of the bunch and while the city sleeps is the most melodic and the worst song. Both Paul and Gene is great vocalist but i think paul's voice is more suited to KISS.RATINGS:8/10

From: Big Papa K Date: June 27, 2004 at 0:43
Another weak release, no doubt due to the lack of a decent lead guitarist. I find it funny that the one standout here, "Heaven's On Fire", is played by Bruce Kulick and not Mark St. John. Of the songs St. John actually plays on, "Thrills In The Night" is a catchy, if yet a little too melodramatic. 5/10

From: Mickbeatle Date: July 15, 2004 at 12:50
A good follow-up "Lick It Up". Gene's songs take over the album(Gene wrote 5, Paul wrote 4). But I like Paul's songs better than Gene's. In my opinion, I think Gene's songs were good until "Lick It Up". My favorites are "I Had Enough(Into The Fire)", "Heavens On Fire", "Get All You Can Take", and "Thrills In The Night". Mark St.John is good on this album. It's too bad he was only in KISS for five months. I like Vinnie better but Mark is cool. It's even shocking that he was in the "Heavens On Fir

From: Tony BCN Date: August 6, 2004 at 21:49
Me gusta pero para mí no hay comparación posible respecto al "Lick...." ,que hi farem!

From: K.K. Poland Date: August 16, 2004 at 5:18
good album, hits like Heavens On Fire, Thrills In The Night. Awsome guitar player, I totally agree with people who says = "Simmons sucks, Stanley rules!!"

From: Geoff Date: August 16, 2004 at 19:56
Although there are no real stand out gems I can single out on this album, this is actually one of the more consistent albums they had in the early 80's. Yes, I quite like this CD. Good solid hard rock. 6.8/10

From: Jimbo Date: December 12, 2004 at 15:13
Apparently, all it takes to impress some people as a guitarist is to play really really fast and stay in tune, because that is about all that can be said for Mark St. John's playing. His solos sound like a violin bow being dragged across an inflated balloon and if you can distinguish one solo from another, you're lying. This album is also flawed by Gene's lyrics, Paul's production, the cover, the lack of thought by anyone involved, and the costumes they must've stolen from Ratt.

From: pt88 Date: January 20, 2005 at 13:25
I had loved this record. Of course Heaven's..was a bit of a radio hit to a degree. I knew people who didn't really care for Kiss but really like the song. The record had a certain punch and energy. A few on record like Under the Gun were not really Kiss like material but worked well live. Thrills I thought was one of the strongest songs in my opinion

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: May 12, 2007 at 13:23
Great Hard Rock, mirar el año ahora con Mark St. John a las guitarras el panorama de KISS cambio para mejor temazos como Burn Bitch Burn (el estilo y ritmo de este tema con esas guitarras y baterias Impresionante), I've Had Enough (Into The Fire), Thrills In The Night, While The City Sleeps albums asi valen y hay mas puntuacion en albums actuales que nada tienen que hacer frente a trabajos como este 9/10

From: ferstyx Date: October 2, 2007 at 18:28
Mark St. John todo un maestro de los riffs. La voz de Paul se escucha poderosa. Que tal comienzo con I've Had Enough (Into The Fire). Under The Gun y mi favorita Thrills In The Night me traen recuerdos cuando "intentaba" tocarlas con la guitarra. Gran disco aunque un poco irregular las canciones de Gene.

From: VICE Date: October 16, 2007 at 4:44
I'm not a big fan of Kiss at all but this album with especially "Heaven's On Fire" & "Thrills In The Night" is pretty good! 80/100 is my rating!

From: pie75 Date: July 26, 2010 at 1:51
people mark.st.john is deffinatly a great guitar player no doubt about it and his guitar playing on this album is great but mark was not the right guitarist for kiss i like this album but mark plays a lot like eddie van halen not as good as cretures or lick it up but a worthy addition i like i've had enough heaven's on fire is still a great live song and burn bitch burn is good too

From: metalmaniac777 Date: January 7, 2011 at 14:18
I'm sure the loyal (rabid?) soldiers in the so-called Kiss Army will want to kick my ass for saying this, but I consider this band to be one of the most overrated success stories in hard rock history. Sure, they're good (sometimes), but a buttload of far better bands languished in obscurity while this simplistically subpar group rocketed to the top. Oh well, such is the nature of the rock 'n' roll business. Negatives aside, this particular album contains my all-time favorite Kiss song, "Heaven's on Fire," so I guess I have to give credit where credit is due. Other than that one track though, I couldn't care less if this album faded out of existence like a new fish's anal virginity after his first night in prison.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: June 27, 2015 at 21:51
A very good hard rocking album with a bit of a metal edge here and there..."I've Had Enough(Into The Fire)" is my fave in here...tracks 2(another hit of the band back then),3,4 & 6(rocks!)are another fine ones...87/100
