I noticed this wasn't listed. The album is pretty light, but good. It's got a few fairly rocking songs on it. She Gave me, Cry for love, and Don't lie to me are pretty good.

Good album. Good mixture of Coverdale/page and whitesnake kind of songs. Best tracks: "River song" and "Cry for love". A little less ballads would have been better. Solid release. 8/10

I played this to death when it came out, but with loads of other releases flying through the old letter box,it has been a little forgotten about recently. A couple of spins later and i'm back on familiar terms with this little beauty. Like a couple of my other fave vocalists (Rodgers, Waite)Coverdale could sing the phone book and I would be happy, but this is a great great album, maybe a couple of ballads too long, but quality all the same.

Jez, once again, I DO AGREE ! Hope you've noticed it this time !!!!!! This is indeed a very good record, even a great ! 'The River Song' is a beaty ! And I don't want to call this AOR at all ? Who catergorized that one under AOR ?! It's pure, classic hardrock !!!

From: Kindred Date: April 19, 2005 at 19:06
I did, sorry you don't agree. I didn't think it was very "hard" for hard rock.

Slave and Don't Lie harkens back to the rock days. Don't You Cry, Midnight Blue, Too Many Tears are great new songs in a type of singer-songwriter direction. Got this the week it came out and thanks to all that made me pull it out again, a great album and hope we have more!!!

Gracias MAESTRO!! WHITESNAKE y DAVID COVERDALE RULESSS!!. 9/10
