Lame attempt to appeal to grunge crowd by talentless ex-White Lion idiot. Goodbye, Mike!

From: Airik Date: August 7, 2003 at 3:31
Harsh comment man ... i think FON was awesome .. a lil more promotion and they would have been as big as any other band in the post hairband grunge era ... Mike is awesome ... and Jerry Best thats a cool dude he played Bass for the others 80's band LION who did that awesome Transformers the movie theme song ... lotta lion tallent in this band .... this is a must have if you can find it

From: John Date: August 13, 2003 at 13:50
Dig the music. Have never dug Mike's voice. That said, a lot of these songs are really strong. I wish someone else would have sung them.

I saw this band live in Helsinki many years ago, they were opening for Helloween. I had never heard of them, but liked them very much! I´d guess they had just released their first album by the time.

Hate Mike Tramp but love the drummer Johnny Haro. Thought this CD was great when it first came out but Mike Tramp is a true asshole.

From: Great Dane Date: October 15, 2004 at 17:28
TT could you please explain why hes a True Asshole. ??

From: Dave Date: October 15, 2004 at 19:58
Exactly TT ,please explain because i have met him and have a friend who knows him personally and he is one of the most friendly guys you will ever meet.A truely great guy and has time for everyone.!!!!!!!

From: Great Dane Date: October 16, 2004 at 8:15
Ive met him several times, and he is always very friendly and completely down to earth. He likes to discuss Soccer, music and enjoy a cold beer. Just like any regular rock's roller. He was like that even before he started White Lion.

From: Geoff Date: February 27, 2005 at 5:18
I must also say that though not having met him personally, I have seen Mike perform in Australia in a very intimate setting and my senses tell me he is most certainly not an asshole, but rather a very down-to-earth and friendly fella. Unfortunately this album sucks, IMO. '92' is a decent track, and 'Where can I go' is a wonderful track. The rest is bland mid-90's metal/hard rock.

not bad album! if you miss white lion miss MIKE! u won't disappoint! but don't buy their 2nd cd! please!TRUST ME!

From: Beikes Date: September 14, 2005 at 11:14
This is by far the greatest album of the year! The best stuff Mike Tramp has ever done. He collected this bunch of heavily talented musicians and made a killer debut album. So sad that they split, because they could've made it big! Their follow-up though, stinks. 10/10

From: BIG-TIME Date: November 4, 2006 at 20:04
This album is the biggest pile of SHIT I have heard in a long time...crap song's, crap singing, totally awfull...KEEP ROCKIN ALL!!!

From: Japangea Date: August 26, 2007 at 10:14
Oliver Steffensen who played in Studs(ex-Mabel) with Mike Tramp was the original guitr player and he actually composed some songs with Mike on this album. When Mike had an idea to form this band,Oliver who played in =Y= at that time was hired and he crossed the ocean from Denmark to the states. But by some unknown reason,Oliver retured home to re-join =Y=.Mike got mad and composed the song "92" for that betrayal.Sad Oliver did not play in this album as if he did, this can be times better.

From: DOUG Date: May 6, 2008 at 12:28
great album....

From: poser forever Date: June 11, 2009 at 14:23
A masterpiece. Actually i think that is Tramp at his best along with White Lion's ''Mane Attraction''. Unfortunately it got lost in the ''grunge'' era . Melodic/groovy hard rock from the great Mike Tramp!

From: juan carlos Date: July 28, 2010 at 18:17
Ok/Good Groovy/Melodic HardRock, it´s not a bad album at all, better forget about White Lion, this is more Groovy HR in your face, the only songs that remind me of White Lion are "Where Can I Go"(one of my favorite tracks ) and "Rescue Me" but there are cool groovy songs like "Are You Ready" or "92" and the acoustic ballad "Love Was Here" as well. 7.8/10

From: Wardy Date: September 19, 2016 at 7:48
Hey, .oved White Lion as much as the next fan but who knew right? Who knew born from the ashes of the magnificent White Lion would be the arguably better Freak Of Nature? Man I recall being excited that Mike was back and hitting play and BAM, couldn't believe my %÷%#ing ears, this was fantastic stuff and remains so to this day. Never tire of the FON records, easily some of Mike's finest lyrics to date. Not the grunge bandwagon jump many of the US rags claimed in fact much of these tunes still flirted the WhiteLion template albeit dressed in the current ilk, hey Europe embraced 'em but unfortunately not enough to see the band thrive to survive internal presssures splitting the band at their GatheringOfFreaks peak. RescueMe remains a personal fave but Possessed, TurnTheOtherWay, EVERY track is raw class. Devastating this band didn't continue truly one of the best oldschoolers moving into a new age. Magnificent and as good as the Soundgardens etc. This rated an 8.5 Gathering a 9 minimum.
