Aug. 20, 2025: Temporary Message Board ClosureThe company hosting the message board sprung a surprise price hike on me that would have more than tripled the monthly hosting costs, so I've been scrambling to find an alternative. I've purchased a license for self-hosting a different platform and am hiring a consultant to migrate the existing board's content (posts, user profiles, etc.). However, this means I need to shut down the message board for anywhere from 3 days to (hopefully less than) a week so the data can be migrated. While this is an expensive proposition up front, it should result in some long-term savings. The current message board will be closed down at some point this Saturday, August 23. I will post updates here. The main site (where you are reading this), will NOT be affected. -Dan |

I've had this one in rotation for a month and I'm digging it. It seems the Swedes are putting the USA to shame in even greater numbers lately with quality releases IMO. I'm not sure if 'AOR' has a different meaning in Europe and other parts of the world compared to the U.S. This term is passed around HH like a joint at a Foghat concert, covering every genre from borderline pop to the hard stuff. This album is definitely ballsier then the band's debut 'Infinite Stargaze', as it ups the ante as MHR, bordering on Melodic Metal at times(Heroes). Swedentorp (lead vocals) is small in statue/stage presence but big on vocals. Larsson's guitar work sometimes reminds me of Zakk Wylde(pre MDD shame). This CD is strong out of the gates as 'Heroes' and 'One in a Million' are the standouts for me. This release should hold up as a top 10 release for 2011 and hopefully light a fire under up and coming bands in the States to show the world we have more to offer than Hinder,Linkin Park, and Dirty Penny. |

pretty good release for COLDSPELL with their solid updated sound, with strong guitars and a very good rhythm section that adds depth to the musicianship and create a fine background for those really good vocals!dont expect anything blowminding ,but this is pretty well perform modern heavy rock music .."heroes","run for your life","six feet under" and "angel eyes' are the highlights |
