This is an excellent introduction to this obscure band! Comprised of 11 tracks from across their career, Blackboard Jungle offers a moody and almost sinister tone/sound that stands out as unique amongst the other bands you'll find on this site. About the songs, some standouts are the high-energy Paint You A Picture, the incredibly relatable ballad An Old Friend, the dark and ominous Sister, and the best version of Car I Can't Drive in their catalog. While still a great song, I was a bit surprised to see All My Friends make the cut, and was also surprised by the omission of Generation, one of my favorites from their first album, but overall if you've never heard Blackboard Jungle before, you can't go wrong with this compilation. Given how this album is available on several streaming platforms including YouTube, there's no reason for you not to give these guys at least a short spin! Who knows, maybe you'll get as hooked as me! My rating is an 85/100
