| Better than average CD from an all star lineup with the lead singer from Little Caesar. "Do Angels Die" and "Dark Shade of Grey" highlight this disc. Better than the grunge that was out in 1994.

| Didn't like it at first, but nowadays i think it's great. Very basic raw bluesy hardrock like Free, Led Zeppelin and Grand funk. No extra's, no big chorus; just guitars ,drums, bass and vocals. Japan release comes with a bonustrack: "crossing the line" (great track)8/10

| Exacto zld, lo he escuchado varias veces y me ha gustado mas y mas.. Claro que esto no es para fans del AOR ni melodicrock. Esto es hardrock bluesy seco y directo que recuerdan por momentos, aparte de los grupos que mencionó zld, a AC/DC o Ray Vaughan. Claro que para la mayoría, las mas "tranquilas" son las mejores como "Ride The Storm" "Do Angels Die" (Temazo!) y "Dark Shade Of Grey" (que balada!!). El resto es hardrock bluesístico que me encanta IMO. Cantante aceptable. 9/10

| Oh dear! oh dear! oh dear! this Whitesnake trio dont make for a great band, and what an awfull album this is. This bluesy something or other is just not rock, I just cant stand this load of rubbish and people into this need shooting...KEEP ROCKIN ALL!!!

| whoo, what a great line up. when i listened to it the first time i didn't like it so much,but when i listened to it another time i started to like it, everytime i listen to it, it's just gettin better. it's great 90s hard rock with elements of blues, funk and groove. not as hard as little caesar. my favs: Can You Feel It, Do Angels Die (great ballad), Dark Shade of Grey, Keep it Coming and When the Hammer Comes Down.

| Hard, raw and bluesy cd. As this page gets more and more AOR orientated and this recording doesn´t fit this taste at all the overall rating does no justice to a very good work from an all star line up. My rating 85/100

| Very bluesy hard rock and it WORKS! Very listenable, catchy songs with a Badlands feel to it. Can You Feel It and Ride The Storm are stand outs for me.

If you love any of the following bands classic albums... SKIDROW...CINDERELLA...GUNS N' ROSES...WHITELION....KISS...POISON...Do not search out this album  I've listened to each song and I just can't find an instant keeper amongst them...I'm sure if I were to listen over and over and over... 1 song might imprint itself in my brain and get me to believe that familiarity means greatness...Alas...I probably won't be listening to this one again (Although..I never say Never) If you LOVE the vocals of Little Caesar lead vocalist Ron Young (I thoroughly enjoyed their albums)...then give it a listen, but otherwise I just suggest listening to Whitesnake Whitesnake for the 19th Billion Time....ROCK ON!!!!

| The AOR nuts hate it for its bluesiness, the party-rockers hate it for its relative mellowness. In the '70's-obsessed retro-fad of 1994, this should have doee better. The first comparison that comes to mind is Cry Of Love, but heavier in places, yet at the same time, the soft songs are softer, and overall, less of a Bad Company clone kind of vibe. Manic Eden is its own thing, owed in part to the inimitable Ron Young on vocals. Very soulful music, with excellent playing all around. "Do Angels Die" is a fantastic, melancholy ballad.

| I usually like heavy blues based rock, and this is a "super group" of players, but the problem with Manic Eden is that there is not a "hook" to be found on the entire CD. I break it out every now and then, hoping that maybe I missed something, or maybe it's one of those albums that grows on you, but sadly there is nothing there.

| very good release for MANIC EDEN back in 94 ,with an all star line up that makes you waiting for something explosive!BUT i think that this one was below expectations without being bad!classic hard rock sound with perfect production,& performance and some good songs here and there ,but no really big songs!enjoyable for sure
