From: TIM Date: September 6, 2002 at 17:36
I don't know about this one either David. Anyone recommend or criticize it?

From: RichieRocker Date: March 19, 2003 at 18:38
I just saw on ebay that the price was 102 dollars!!! crazy man!!!!

From: TIM Date: March 19, 2003 at 19:03
These guys are overrated.

From: shane Date: May 27, 2003 at 3:09
These guys rock!!!!!!

From: MButt Date: May 27, 2003 at 3:18
Hi Shane, I have heard that these guys were pretty good, I am looking for this cd if you have one that is original and in nice shape I would pay around $150 for it. I have heard they sound like Moriah, is that accurate? contact me if interested. Michael buttfamily@frontiernet.net

From: freddy de keyze Date: May 31, 2003 at 8:55
Dan, don't you think you should remove this one too ? Looks to me that someone did a dirty trick with the ratings here !

From: MButt Date: June 23, 2003 at 19:25
I finally picked up this cd and after listening to it I must say it is pretty good! the production is not up to par but the music was pretty damn good! is it worth the big bucks I paid for it, not sure anything is worth what I pay for it but I don't regret it. alot better than people were saying. if you can get this cd, pick it up. pretty good US hair metal.

From: TheRipper Date: August 4, 2003 at 18:54
Just as rare as anything, this little gem is a nice little surprise. Very good stuff here. Another one of those pieces that could be classified as glam, but at times treds on AOR grounds! Comparisons to Moriah, Firehouse, or even Jillson (stylewise sometimes) wouldn't be out of line at all. Worth the search!

From: SeducedByMetal Date: October 29, 2003 at 9:28
.theres a few mentions of bronx zoo ..sounding like moriah..but i don't hear it...hmm..better play this baby again..just to make sure...

From: Wally Date: January 27, 2004 at 13:50
Note: this CD is actually called 'lustful thinking'. I knew these guys. They're from St Louis, MO. The drummer was murdered, supposedly in a drug deal. Pretty sought after cd regionally. Excellent singer and drummer. The singer sounds like Marq Torian of Bullet Boys. Bullet Boys is probably a good overall comparison. not exactly glam, more of just an LA metal sound. Guitar playing is a little stiff.

From: BoB Date: April 25, 2004 at 15:05
Ya, i know the lead singer, bruce morrison, they were from st.louis

From: Geoff Date: June 16, 2004 at 3:28
Thanks for the info Wally, interesting stuff. As for the CD, this one's okay. Not brilliant by any stretch of the imagination. Pretty poorly produced 80's hard rock, reminds me of Concrete Jungle, with hints of early Motley Crue perhaps. Pretty cool, but certainly not worth the big dollars.

From: anamal Date: July 5, 2004 at 20:12
good stuff , not great..pretty tight as a band but the recording is a little muddy and bass heavy..but overall it is a good cd with alot of cliche`s ..but to me they have an early Ratt sound..my fav on the cd has got to be Chained..

From: Metal 4 Ever Date: January 27, 2005 at 15:49
Just so you all know, this CD is called Lustfull Thinking. I don't know the lead singer, but I do have the CD. Anyway this CD rocks and I would highly recomend it to anyone who likes their music with lots of hair, hooks, and attitude.

I was in Bronx Zoo. Our drummer was murdered in 1992 in an argument with a drug dealer in ESTL. Prior to Angelo's death, we were working on our second album as they were called back then. The production of Lustfull Thinking was good, but something was lost in the mastering process. We were better live than on tape anyway. We recorded, we toured, and we did things across the nation that I wish every musician could experience. Thanks for the comments, both negative and positive. BAM

From: David Date: July 27, 2005 at 22:24
Hi there Jed, Great to hear ya!! Can you please send me your email address at: david@suncityrecords.com and we can maybe work out something in order to get to second unreleased album out?? Thanks mate David for Suncity Records.

From: AJ the drummer boy Date: October 3, 2005 at 8:41
I saw the guitar player playing at a dive bar in Columbia, IL this weekend in a cover band, I swear, go to www.killingvegas.com. Anyways this album reminds me of the band Carrying the Zero. Also, I owned this album, shoot me an email if you want to buy it from me. It is pretty good, the bass player works at a gas station now.

From: taco Date: October 3, 2005 at 15:01
I was a member of Bronx Zoo from its beginning,I played guitar in the band and I can freely admit I was not your typical 80's metal guitarist. But we were all young and inexperienced to the recording industry, we were much better live. I dig all the comments and wouldn't change a thing. Together we went through some things that most people won't see in two lifetimes. Music is in your blood, don't try to sound like anyone and don't do it to be cool, just be yourself and write whats inside you.

From: taco Date: October 3, 2005 at 15:07
If you are interested in material after Bronx Zoo contact me at kduckworth36@yahoo.com. Or if you are interested in rare live performances of Bronx Zoo, also have rare pics and cassette tapes...ooooooh. old school.

Hi I want to buy a copy of the Bronx Zoo 'Lustfull Thinking' original cd (great indie!!!), please contact me, my email is adboimel@uol.com.br all the best Adriano

From: adboimel Date: October 3, 2005 at 23:15
By the way, one of the best indie cds from the 80īs!!!!

From: metalmaniac777 Date: January 27, 2006 at 13:11
Some folks would stand naked in Grand Central Station for 24 hrs. straight if that's what it took to snag a copy of this rarity, but the reality is, this CD is nothing special. No, it's not a big pile of gorilla shit, but it's certainly nothing to do somersaults over; there are far better CDs worthy of your hair metal lust. So if you're just seeking a rarity for bragging rights, this will fit the bill, but if you think you're getting a great band to listen to, you need to adjust your thinking.

From: kipvanpearcy Date: September 18, 2007 at 13:29
Not bad but let's not get crazy over it, this is worth 10$ max, and the production is terrible.

From: aMetalhead1966 Date: January 4, 2008 at 15:35
Over-rated release here..not bad but as stated above really poor production..Live this band was probably better, that's why it is so 'hyped'..IMO..

From: rbrigade Date: August 21, 2008 at 19:33
Way overrated...The singer is below average....Songs like Gang bang are cheap cock punk...still there's some nice guitar work here and there but the compositions are forgetable...Chained has a really nice riff, probably the only track standing out just a little...

From: z4roxx Date: July 26, 2009 at 9:55
Where is the glam here I don't know.BTW if you want to spend 20/25$ is a good one, over this price is a ridiculous purchase IMO....

From: rick kerch vzla Date: April 12, 2010 at 17:08
Yeah this album has the right ingredients to be a goodie one!...if you are into Faster Pussycat,Bang Tango and perhaps L.A.Guns then you might like this lot..my faves tracks are 'Lonely Nights','Living In The Streets','Coming After You (Mr Bill)'-this track really rocks your socks off!-'Chained'(kinda punkie, dirty, sleazy piece of rock'n'roll)& 'Feelin' Alright'...'Living For The Band' is a pretty good acoustic track...85/100

From: rick kerch vzla Date: April 12, 2010 at 17:13
By the way if somebody knows anything about the drummer of this band named Angelo Torres..does he have a family tie with Tico Torres???(Bon Jovi's drummer)..just curiosity folks...

From: 80sGatsby Date: May 27, 2010 at 20:49
Bronx was an extremely great party band. They used to pack the house at a bar called 'Gatsby's' in Carbondale,IL. (Which is mentioned in the liner notes.) I never missed a show and would usually hang out with them after the bar closed. We would go to the Corner Diner for breakfast. Great Times. They even attended a funeral and played a benefit show for one of my closest friends ever. I really miss hanging with these guys. They all had hearts of gold. Anyone who remembers these days and wants to take a trip down memory lane just shoot me an e-mail. jason-martin6@excite.com

From: rallen399 Date: November 12, 2010 at 9:38
With all the hype here I was extremely disappointed.Very soft glam almost nothing that would make me want to listen to this more than a couple of times.Livin In The Streets,Coming After You and Chained are ok.They sound like Poison Ultra Light only without any of the great hooks or riffs.I would advise to save your money on this one.65/100.

From: Dreamers Date: November 26, 2010 at 17:50
The cover of "Lustfull Thinking" was photographed at my nightclub, "Dreamer's" in Belleville, Il. I loved these guys ! Angelo was one of the most talented drummer's I've ever known. I saw Bruce over the summer. He's now lead singer for "Carry the Zero"...they're good...but loved Bronx Zoo more. I'm looking for the cd if anyone has one to sell.

From: Dramarama Date: February 26, 2024 at 4:47
