great memories for me here esp on the tracks 'keep me in your heart' and the cool ballad 'superhero'. cool melodic rock n roll a bit like Dokken? tomcat@dolfijn.nl

One of the best indie releases of the era. If I could get them back into the studio, I might tweak a few things, but it's not like a band like this was going to have a million dollars to spend on production.

This album is quite impossible to get!Nobody ever heard of this band! And also it is completely out of print!BUT,I fortunely got some tunes on the (dead by now)audiogalaxy.Great guitar work a lot like Dokken but a bit heavier and agressive and strong drums!Er.. the vocals this guy sounds really like a real Barracuda fish singing!!Reminds me of early Geddy Lee from Rush(progressive band),and I'm not kidding!!Overall interesting band!!78.5 out of 10!!

Memory and Superhero are great tunes. Some very good guitar work on this cd. Some of the songs are average but still good. Keep Me In Your Heart is very good also. Find it if you can....it's worth a listen.

This CD is one of my favorite indie releases too. They need to re-release it. This would be a great seller on a label like Perris Records.

HG, no offense taken. I love t receive opinions from others, as well as mix ideas. Contact me if want to get involved. You are right. We didn't have much of a budget back in those days. The sound was not what we were expecting, but then, what could we expect from such a small label and such a small budget ($5,000). I am open to all offers. I have a boat-load of unreleased recorded material that everyone in the band would love to see released. patrick@barracudamusic.net

Back in 90, I took a chance on the cassette 'Open Fire' from the $2.99 bin. I fell in love with Barracuda's music. I have looked for 2 years on mp3 servers and couldn't find Barracuda. I'm pleased to see this album was cut to a CD and that more than just my circle of friends have experienced it. To me Barracuda is somewhere between the sounds of Junkyard, Disneyland After Dark, and Vain. I keep singing to Thirty Years and Memory. Great album, Rock on - Thanks a bunch, d9ball_ryder@yahoo.com

The second album would have been 10 times as good. Too bad it never was released. Sean is still one of the best guitar players around.

V. Lets have some fun. I really want to release the 2nd album. Call me, email me, whatever. Sean has my number. Lets do it bro'! I think Sean is in. I spoke with him before Christmas. Has he called you??? The studio awaits... By the way... not only is Sean the best guitarist, you are also the best snare smasher...!!! P.

I found this one AND Bashful - Down For The Count at the same used record store. I purchased this one after seeing the cover and release date. Any 80's hair band with a sultry woman on the cover of their CD is okay in my book. Don't remember the music striking a chord with me that much? Again, I'm still looking for another lesser-known band reminscent of Blue Tears... Any ideas?

* Seem as if peoples opinion of this on goes both ways. My opinion, very good release, there is something for everyone on this one. Very good songs and very good players. Did get to see these guys one when they played in good old Baltimore. I would recommend this cd to people who appreciate good songs and capable musicians. To bad more people don't get to hear thiss one. I am willing to trade a CDR if anyone is interested.. leave email here Thanks.... Dave

Not a huge fan of this one. It's competent, but IMO it's not much more than run-of-the-mill 80's hard rock. A pretty weak Indie production job, but the songs are okay. Not essential, but not bad.

I would have to disagree. This is very essential for all lovers of 80's rock! 'Keep Me In Your Heart' s awesome and this guy has some pipes! 'Superhero' is also a very worthy ballad. Recommended...... JL

This is pretty good for an indie, the only thing I don't like is the guitar. Decent chops, but he drifts in and out of key on the solos. Decent tunes and a decent singer though.

The album cover promises so much (reminds me of the JILLSON cover), but the music is a bit hit and miss. But the biggest flaw is that a rear (butt) shot of the girl on the cover should be gracing the back of the CD. As for the music, well it's cheap and cheesy 80's hair metal with a handful of good songs with above average sound and musicianship.68/100

I quite liked this act...Hard Rock with some touches of metal here and there...Patrick's voice has some hints of Minoru Niihara (japanese singer of the well known band Loudness)..about the songs the album opens fire with a very good song "In The City","Keep Me In Your Heart" is a personal fave,"Thirty Years" is a very solid number, like it a lot,"Open Fire" is a killer one, obviously and most likely the best track(at least 4 me),"Superhero" is a fantastic semi acoustic ballad, definetely along with "Open Fire" the killer duet!,"Back Door Boogie" has a nasty groove,a cool number and "New Attitude" closes nicely the album...buy!.85/100
