Really Great Westcoast/AOR in the vein of TOTO. Perfect Production and if you are into Westcoast Music, well this album is a Gem. The Beautiful Ballad "I Guess You Broke My Heart" is my fav song. Highly Recommended. 9/10

Really pleasant AOR cd. To me it feels something beetween Toto & Time Gallery...and that's why i like it

The first 3 & Nr. 6 are my favourites. I don't like "I guess you broke.." that much. To american. So I don't like the TOTO comparasion a lot. And, furthermore, I don't even would compare them with TOTO. More between DREAM POLICE & TIME GALLERY. Even though I must confess I don't know a lot from TOTO except their "hits".

LAVA Rhythm of Love is a fantastic 80's/early 90 westcoast rock album. I can definately see some comparison between Lava and Toto on this album at least (Time gallery remind me more of a rocky Bogart co. maybe but never really of Lava). Lava have said before that toto are a big influential group for them. The thing is that LAVA are just as stunning on their instruments and totally a band of their own who can do so many different styles of music with brilliance as they have shown if you look at their albums over the years. This may be their best as an 'album'. The song Heartache is ridiculous good quality song but almost the whole thing is breathtaking. They deserve all the praise they get unlike some over-rated groups within the aor/westcoast scene

Agree with aorfan700 and the rest of the guys...i'd add 2 that some Hi-Tech AOR vibe here and there..."Somebody Like You" nice,"You Are Taking My Heart Away" a beauty,"Heartache" a solid mid tempo song,"Lovers United" excellent!,"She's The One" catchy and most likely the best song in here & "I Guess You Broke My Heart" another nice smoothie that closes the album in a very decent way...TOTO,Time Gallery,Fingerprints,ST Paul,Shell And The Ocean are names that comes to my mind...but of them all TOTO would be the closest comparisson...anyway,you decide...89/100

Great Westcoast/aor album I'd like to own but nowhere to find at decent price. Who will help me ?

From: tomdwa Date: April 13, 2020 at 16:23
This is their absolute peak, what an album. Very much reminiscent of Toto, The seventh one-era. Just listen to Somebody like you, or the great ballad I guess you broke my heart. Other sparkling highlights: You've taken my heart away, Heartache, Take a look at these eyes, She's the one.
