I have this release but to tell you the truth I can't remember what this sounds like. I'll have too pick it up and listen again. It's been awhile. The weakest in my opinon.

Charlie Huhn does a stellar job on Hear You Calling Me -- great tune, outstanding vocal, and a ton of wild guitar from Pell... Huhn is sadly underrated, and why Pell isn't more famous is a mystery for the ages...

Check out 'Slave of love' and 'Cold as ice' for two riff driven hard rock killers. I've always liked Axel Rudy as although he loves to fill his albums with fillers, he still likes to insert at least a handful of killer hard rockers. This is one of may faves of his purely because of the awesome vocals of Charlie Huhn, once of the brilliant Victory.

Solid debut of ex Steeler guitarrist, with Charlie Huhn from Victory on vocals. The best tracks for me are "Wild Cat", "Call Of The Wild Dogs", "Cold As Ice" and "Snake Eyes".

Good solid catchy hard rock/melodic metal here. Charlie Huhn does a good job screechin' metal vocals. Axel Rudi Pell is a good guitar player but he seems to be trying too hard to sound too busy on this one. Even so, worth picking up if you want catchy consistent melodic hard rock/metal. 82/100

Pell can blister a guitar with the best of them, of that there is no doubt, but he is very hit-and-miss when it comes to the songs themselves. It is a problem that plagues him to this day, and this album is evidence that it has plagued him since the very beginning. Of course, it's an affliction that plagues most guitar wizards, including the king of wankers Yngwie Malmsteen, so at least Pell is in good company. Bottom line, Pell's obsession with six-string showboating coming at the expense of the songs, which feature a few gems ("Slave of Love," for example) sprinkled amidst some really dreadful filler material.

Agree with metalhead4life's comment...apart from that is very well known that Axel is obviously a very talented guitar player that emerged from the band Steeler(Germany)...my favourite track is "Slave Of Love"...other goodies are "Wild Cat"(kicking a** song),"Cold As Ice","Call Her Princess","Hear You Calling Me"(AORish)& "Promised Dreams"...recommended stuff...92/100

A very explosive debut from Pell. The vocalist sounds almost like Paul Shortino which is definitely a plus point. Pell combines smooth playing with a fair bit of shredding and the songs are superbly written. Slave of Love is a beautiful semi-ballad, Cold as Ice is a great rocker and Wild Cat is the other stand out here. Recommended to the extreme!
