Axel Rudi Pell is fabulous! What a talented artist! This album is terrific, highly recomended! Good hard, yet melodic songs. Also, I'd personall recomend getting his greatest hits collection: The Wizzard's Chosen Few. It's probably one of the absolute best albums I've ever heard! You can't go wrong with any of Axel's stuff for that matter! |

I agree wholeheartedly... I'm just discovering Pell now, and there's no denying the guy can flat out play and write great riffs... |

If you enjoyed this album you should try "Between The Walls" with Jeff Scott Soto, "Oceans of Time" and "Masquerade Ball" with Gioelly and "Nasty Reputation" with Rob Rock. These are the best albums featuring master Axel.Cheers. |

Heard the song 'Black Moon Pyramid' and found it to be quite intoxicating stuff. Will now explore further into this world of darkness.... |

Again, the CD is crowded with fillers, but 'Fool fool' is one of his best ever and 'Silent angel' is a good enough ballad. Elsewhere, apart from the obligatory riff driven gem in 'Fool fool' there are actually a few other decent songs. One of the better albums, but still only two killers for me... |

Fool Fool and You & I are one of the best tracks done by ARP and Jeff Scott Soto, killer tracks and what a voice, it's the best ARP album with JSS |

Too many fillers. "Fool fool" and "Silent angel" are average songs but the rest is just too poor. I don't like the vocals on this one either. Jeff Scott Soto is, IMHO, the most overrated singer in Hard Rock. |

Oh, and Axel's "sweep" sounds very, very bad! A poor man's Malmsteen, I'd say. |
From: MERADONA | Date: January 18, 2005 at 15:55 |
YA SE QUE NO ES DE LO MEJOR DEL HARD ROCK PERO EL HOWE ESTE NO TIENE NI PUTA IDEA, ES HOY EN DIA EL MEJOR VOCALISTA DE HARD ROCK, JEFF SCOTT SOTO IS THE VOICE OF HARD ROCK. |
From: howe | Date: January 18, 2005 at 18:13 |
Meradona, I understand your Spanish perfectly. (...)Ni puta idea??? It's my opinion, remember??? And in my opinion, Jeff is a good singer! I just said he is overrated. Well, but good for you if you think his voice is that great! |

I don't know why anyone would think Axel's solos are great or fantastic or whatever. I literally cringe when he plays a solo. No feel whatsoever and quite sloppy at times. Much better guitarists are Malmsteen, Dan Huff, McAlpine, Lukather, Neal Schoen and the like. These guys are the real thing. Pell...? not so much. Like his style of hard rock, though. |

Sometimes Axel's music can be kinda repetitive but with originality and a "homemade" mark that defines Axel's job pretty well...another album with the collaboration of Jeff on vocals...my faves are "Return Of The Pharoah/Getting Dangerous","Hole In The Sky","Touch The Rainbow","Sphinx Revenge"(good instrumenatl),"You And I","Black Moon Pyramid" & "Visions In the Night"...88/100 |
