|SUCKS OUT LOUD!!! Incredible disappointment, what a waste. Probably 90% of the people who bought this CD traded it in, I did after one listen. Didn't even deserve a second chance, pure crap.

|I do think this album was weak but i have to respect Jon for not doing a "bon jovi" sound alike album. that would have been easy. Steve Perry's solo stuff sound just like a Journey album. How many solo hits have Perry had, three? Let Jon and Richie do their different sounding cd's solo and when they do a bon jovi album we know what we are going to get. If Jon wanted to do a Bon Jovi sounding record he should do it with the band, not solo.

|i thought this album was great bit different sound but it still rocked some great songs on here like janie dont take your love to town and queen of new orleans put bon jovi out of your head and listen to it without comparing it to the band stuff it rocks

|I thought his CD was so much better than Blaze of Glory, and a departure for Jon. Blaze was just ten cowboy songs, but I think this album told a story, and I don't think it sounded like Bon Jovi at all. It took me a while to get used to it, but once I did I really enjoyed it.

|Completely different from the band...and thats what i like about this album. Jon could hav easily made a record sounding like Bon Jovi the band...but that wud hav been boring...cuz then he shud hav done it with the band itself...he had the guts to do sumthin different...my personal fav is "it's just me(baby)"...it means a lot to me...and believe me,i like this record even though i am a huge fan of the 80s hair era!!

|TOTALLY AMAZING!!!!!!!! ONE OF MY FAVE ALBUM EVER!! I think with this album Jon Bon Jovi proved that he can be the best even without the band and that he can do great stuff without those 4 gouys too but of course I am a big fan of the band so all I can say is keep on rockin' boys!

|Gosh u guys are mean. OK OK so we all are entitled to our opinion... and mine is that this album is just fine thank-you! Not exactly in constant rotation, but hey I throw it on once in a while and find it rather groovy actually!

|Pedazo de disco y no es coņa. Claro, no es bon jovi pero tiene unos temazos acojonantes para hacer carretera!!! Ugly, Janie, It just me (que me lleva unos recuerdos de bragas impresionantes...). Bien, a mi me gusta.

|Absolutely atrocious. I'm not sure this CD warrants a place in the garbage can; it's not good enough. I tied a concrete block and chain to my copy and tossed it into the Hudson River. TERRIBLE!

|Generator we agree. I don't mind this style of music if the songs don't suck. The songs here suck.
||Date: February 4, 2005 at 22:31|
|Indeed gener8ter, I feel as though something's missing in the lines of communication here because I agree 100 percent with you and John here - this is an awful, extremely mellow and laid back, hookless and forgettable peice of garbage, IMO of course. I really like Bon Jovi but couldn't even hear this album out. Boring as watching walrus teeth grow. That said, this is a whole different brand of rock to D2's 'Four the hard way'. Glad we can all agree on this one though

|I actually think this is a good album, sum gud songs here, my fave would have to be its just me, jbj has great voice and there is some cool guitar, worth a try.
||Date: April 17, 2005 at 15:01|
|I think this is a gr8 album, best songs for me have to be queen of new orleans, destination anywhere, its just me and staring at your window, the album has a gr8 sound, gr8 vocals and gr8 guitar, whether youre a jovi fan or not well worth checkin this album out.

||Date: December 2, 2006 at 10:01|
|First, this cd is 70% ballads, 15% rock & 15% pop. The opener theme is a good rock song, but the rest is mid-tempo songs. I'm from Argentina and i got the 13rd track, it's a spanish version of "Staring at Your window with a Suitcase in my Hand", and it's called "Miro a tu ventana".For me, isn't bad: it's like and confussed Jon Bon Jovi...
||Date: January 1, 2007 at 16:14|
|OK, here we all go again. It's different, it doesn't sound the same, it's not Bon Jovi, ect... It's not supposed to be Bon Jovi people. That's why he is doing the solo project. To do something a little different and to explore other sides of himself musicly as an artist. Having said that, I will admit that the songs here are weaker than I'm used to from Jon. Not because they are different, but because all the melody, hooklines, and singability seems to be missing somehow. Still good, not great.

|You are spot on Metalmusicman!,just as you said budie the songs here are not strong enough as probably the good old Jon used to do but the idea of this record was perhaps to approach a different style (moody and relaxed).6/10

|I agree with Metalmusicman. So, if yourīre looking for a hard rock/AOR album, stay away from this one! Jon Bon Joviīs second solo effort is more like a pop rock album, with plenty of ballads and slow-paced songs. The only song that really rocks here is "August 7, 4:15" which also has one of the best lyrics Jon has ever written. Overall, itīs not a bad album, but itīs not hard rock.
