This is good album. In this album you won`t find a energy of Slippery When Wet or New Jersey, but is still a very good job. In this album you can feel even country stile influence. His another solo album, 1997 Destination Anywhere is more of a pop album and the girls liked that CD a lot.

Some nice extensions of the western themed music of Bon Jovi songs like Wanted Dead Or Alive with the hits Miracle, Blaze Of Glory, and opener Billy Get Your Guns. The rest is mostly filler, but still enjoyable. 6/10

This album is probably in my top 10 of all time. I'm in the rare 1%, I know, but the hooks and melody on most of the songs are amazing, and a bit more heavy than one would expect, with a Westernized theme. People can say it's crap if they want, but I think they need to be a bit more open-minded, and perhaps hear the album more than just one time. I remember when Bon Jovi was on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and he brought up this Soundtrack. It was nice to hear the audience clapping.

This was a nice 'departure / expiramental' album for Bon Jovi... At least he kept true in part to his melodic-rock roots with the title track, Billy Get Your Guns and Never Say Die. I think the album faired as well as it did riding the coattails of New Jersey... That being said, Jon's 1997 Destination Anywhere project didn't have any coattails to ride on, and failed miserably. I cannot believe the same man who wrote Livin' on a Prayer also penned Queen of New Orleans? That disc is BRUTAL!

Not a bad solo release from the leader of Bon Jovi! Some cool cowboy rock on here like Blaze Of Glory, Billy Get Your Guns and Bang A Drum. But the two killer tracks are Never Say Die and Santa Fe. Was good to have this come out while we waited for a new Jovi album. 8/10....

I really like this album. 'Miracle' is a beautiful song, and has always appealed to me so much because of some of the best lyrics Jon ever wrote. And the song also reminds me of good times, but it's a great song either way. 'Blaze Of Glory' is a little over-heard, but still a really great song, 'Santa Fe' is in my top 5 BJ related songs. Holy f*ck, what a song... and again Jon shines with some excellent lyrics. 'Justice In The Barrel' is a killer hard rocker and overall I like this CD.

Great job of Bon Jovi and one of the best guitar player ever, Jeff Beck. This CD is blues-rock with the great voice of one (still) young Bon Jovi. This album is ideal for go to travel...

I really like this. Granted, it's not really exactly like any Bon Jovi album, but it wasn't supposed to be. A kind of rock/country fusion of sorts with more of an emphisis on the rock side. If you ever in the mood for a more acoustic based rock side of Jon, but with all the trademark hooks and melodies you are used to, then give this one a whirl. You will not be disapointed. If you wanna hear the next 'Slippery When Wet', you will. Great laid back rock n roll.

In this solo album Jon Bon Jovi experiments with different styles of music, but still sticking to Bon Jovi's (the band)hard rock roots (at least at that time). Great rocking and hooky tunes like 'Never Say Die', 'Justice In The Barrel' and 'Bang A Drum' with powerful ballads like 'Blaze Of Glory' and 'Santa Fe'.

"Blaze Of Glory" and "Miracle" were both big hits for Jon in 1990, but this disc doesn't have much else to offer. "Billy Get Your Guns" is the token rocker to start things off, andj is pretty good as well, and "Bang A Drum" is very nice as well. I always liked "Blood Money" as well, but beyond that, there just isn't much here, and this is a tape I listen to very infrequently. Come to think of it, I don't recall listening to it a whole hell of a lot back then either. Just didn't impress overall, not unlike the movie.

He means "pedestrian" as in boring, mediocre, average, nothing special. What did you think he meant? I mean, knowing English isn't your first language. Were you thinking it was similar to "pedophile?"

TO DOGHOUSE really sorry .i m french.i have not understand "pedestrian".in french a guy who is homosexual is a "pederaste".so i imagine by error that pedestrian is similar to pederaste.of course for me it s more easy to write in french but on this site i make the effort to write in english for a great communication with others, even if i m sure my grammar in english is not always perfect.i stop school and english lessons in 1977.best regards from france.

I thought it might be something like that, 123. We have the same word in English, without the E: pederast, but it's not used that much. "Pedestrian," literally means somebody walking on the street (instead of driving or riding a bike), as in "a pedestrian was struck and killed by a beer truck." So there's your English lesson for today, dude.

I know it's cool these days to bash on our boy Jon, but in my opinion (which nobody cares about but me, and rightfully so) he's still one of the best vocalists to grace the rock 'n' roll scene, and some (not all, not by a long shot) of the songs on this rock-country hybrid prove why. Sure, "Blaze of Glory" has been overcooked by the radio, but once you strip away the oversaturation stigma, it's a good song that deserved its hit single status. The other tracks that will make your ears happy are "Blood Money," Santa Fe," "Never Say Die," and "Dyin' Ain't Much of a Livin'." As for the rest ... some are crap, some are just banal, but none really merit much attention. Bottom line, there's not much here that matches JBV's glory days, but there's still some worthwhile music amidst all the mediocrity. Whether or not it's worth rooting around in dog shit to find diamonds is totally your call.

Back in the day, I wanted another New Jersey, but the freedom charm with solo albums is that you may diversify. And today I realize, as do most people, that debut solo albums by both Jon and Richie, are both stellar! At Amazon they are average 4.7 (outta 5) from hundreds of fans. Blaze of glory (with legends Aldo Nova & Jeff Beck) was a no. 1 smash hit, Miracle no. 12, impressive. I also like other singles Never Say Die and Dyin' Ain't Much Of A Livin' (great music video too). All ten songs are great and Jon wrote them himself. Actually he also wrote top 10 hits Living in sin, Bed of Roses and Always by himself. Today when Jon has shared his unfortunate struggles with his voice, it's amazing to hear how he sounded when at the top. He sings very strong and with great range on this album, he certainly had a killer voice, esp. 86-96. When you're not in the mood for hard rock, the solo stuff is great to listen to. Same with "An Evening With Bon Jovi" from 93, classic!
