BLUE TEARS 10/10 BON JOVI 1/10. BLUE TEARS SON MEJORES

From: Geoff Date: August 9, 2005 at 20:08
Great release. A very good sound, even better than I was anticipating and it's great to hear these songs sounding this good. Definitely some fillers along the way like 'Girl crazy', Mystery man', title track, 'Everywhere I go' and a couple of others, which is odd to hear from Blue Tears considering the filler-free debut, but the others are killer. Faves are a long-time fave of mine 'Kisses in the dark', and also 'With You Tonight', 'Rock You To Heaven', 'Evidence Of Love', 'Misty Blue', 'Midnigh

From: Geoff Date: August 9, 2005 at 20:10
'Midnight Train' - which is a spectacular track! And 'Russia Tonight' is beautiful too. Awesome disc!!! A definate must-own for any Blue Tears fan, even if you have the demos. The sound here is much better and there are so many tracks not on the demo collections going around, or at least the ones I got!

From: SCANDI Date: August 10, 2005 at 13:28
Hi Mauricio! Is it really as good as DA VINCI?? --I wonder if I should pick this while I haven't got their first. Call me superficial but I'm confused and hatred by the cover of their debut. FOR MAURICIO ONLY -> didn't get through to you by e-mail.. wonder why?!?

From: David Date: August 11, 2005 at 3:36
Hi all, David from Suncity Records here. Thankyou to all that have purchased the Blue Tears cd. We are extremely happy with the way the CD has come out, from the production to the cover art, we couldn't be happier! This is just an example of the standard that the fans can expect on future releases through Suncity Records.

From: David Date: August 11, 2005 at 3:36
To me this is the best hard rock album to come out in the last decade. From the ballads that give me unbelievable goose bumps to the rockers that make me wanna raise the fist in air. 16 tracks of rock hard heaven, all killer, no filler. The next edition of the classic unreleased Blue Tears material will be due out in 2-3 months. Entitled "Dancin' On The Back Streets", it also contains 16 tracks of late 80's, early 90's hard rock bliss!

Still didn't receive this one ! I'm curious to hear it, but, one thing I'm sure of : it will be definitely better than Da Vinci, dear Scandi, cause IMO Da Vinci is too poor for words !!!

From: mauricio Date: August 11, 2005 at 13:33

AWESOME, FANTASTIC, INCREDIBLE!!

From: SCANDI Date: August 12, 2005 at 14:49

THE LAST SERENADE: pure magic

From: TIM (2) Date: August 19, 2005 at 15:20
Agree with Geoff's summary, some filler but also some true gems on here that make it absolutely essential. "Kisses in the Dark" is just bloody magnificent & would easily fit on the debut, as would "Follow Your Heart" (sounds exactly like Bon Jovi's "Edge of a Broken Heart to me), & "The Last Serenade" is a beautiful song & shouldve closed the album. "With You Tonight" is another sensational ballad. Great packaging & sound too, & shit I'm gonna play "Kisses in the Dark" again, what a song.8.5/10.

From: Kip Date: August 24, 2005 at 6:40
I just want to thank Suncity records for FINALLY doing this band justice and getting these songs out in the open. I also agree with Geoff's comments, except 'Everywhere I Go' is no filler to me, it's part of the meat of the album. 'Kisses in the Dark' has been a long fave of mine so it's *very* nice to finally have a good copy of it. I only wish they would have done the three songs used on Attraction 65's album. I loved those too. Highly anticipated brilliant release, which lives up to the hype.

From: Kip Date: August 24, 2005 at 8:27
Oh yeah I almost forgot, where the heck is Date With Destiny???? I'll be expecting that on the second album. Kickass tune!! It feels kind of weird to be complaining about which B-Sides were left off, but dammit these songs kick the ass of many modern melodic rock bands regular albums today. This one will be spinning in my CD player non stop for the next month. Oh and TIM (2), my first impression of Follow Your Heart was Wild in the Streets, but yeah it's totally Slippery-era Bon Jovi-ish.

The debut was a great album no doubt about that, and the rough versions I have of some of these tracks promised much. Now the 'Finished' article is here, and about time too. 'Long Way Home' is a cracking opener and pretty much sums up the rest in terms of the quality. 'Misty Blue' is a phenomnal ballad & definately my fave on the album, although 'Kisses In The Dark', 'The Last Serenade' & 'Live It Up' all run it close. A quality release all round and highly recommended.

From: dean Date: September 5, 2005 at 4:10
Kip-this disc is basically the first 16 cuts they are releasing, the next 16 cuts will be on a disc called "Dancing on the back streets" So it is very possible that some of the songs you are lookiing for will be on that one. You might even be able to contact the label to find out the track listing because it sounds like the disc is ready to be released but the label is sitting on it to make sure this one does OK. For the record I didn't care for their first disc but I really liked this one.

From: David Date: September 5, 2005 at 5:26
To Dean and Kip, the track listing for the next CD "Dancin' On The Back Streets" has been released and you can view the tracks at: www.suncityrecords.com

From: metalmaniac777 Date: September 5, 2005 at 19:12
News that these demos were being officially released probably put a joyful tear into every melodic hard rock fan's eye. No more lousy bootlegs, the real deal was coming. If you're crazy for loud guitars, big hooks, & catchy choruses, this album is an absolute must-own, done up right by Suncity Records. There are a few fillers, but nothing too bad, and they are more than made up for by some outright smokin' rockers. It should be considered dangerous to your hair-metal health to ignore this CD...

From: AOR freaky Date: September 6, 2005 at 13:26
I expected something more 'sophisticated', but hell, this is good ! Very nice melodic hardrock, what do you want more ! ? I'm looking forward to part two !

From: SCANDI Date: September 15, 2005 at 9:02
Sadly the sound is very thin here and metallic too. Where are the basses?? Thanks to the equalizers on my stereo I can stand it. For this fact, ..SHAME on suncity. --Ok, the other side is the songs which surely are breathtaking (8,5/10). Expecting the sound quality of their first effort is a lot better than on this one plus the songs are as good as here it WILL be a classic I haven't bought so far.

From: Kip Date: September 28, 2005 at 0:17
I have no quips about the sound at all. If you want the bass to drown everything out, by all means use the GE, but this sounds as good if not better than I had hoped. And by the track listing of what is to be on the second album, I'm in for more unheard treats than I found here not to mention four of their better songs. Dare I say the next one may even be better? OMG I can't wait. David - you truly are the man and a hero to me right now. If I can I'll buy everything your company presses. Thanks.

From: SCANDI Date: September 30, 2005 at 13:13
OK --maybe I overreacted a bit. I did because I was a bit disappointed what I got for my money (unfortunatly not the best). Still I think the sound is quite flat and poppish. But the songs are good, that's the other side of the coin, so a bit PRAISE for the record company now. However, I really hope the second demo CD will be some kind of better re-produced so I don't have to reconsider if it's a waste of money for my hard earned money or not.

From: David Date: November 24, 2005 at 3:51
Blue Tears - Dancin' On The Back Streets is now available through www.suncityrecords.com Well, what more do I have to say about these guys apart from this CD is even better than Mad, Bad & Dangerous and that's saying something. All the unreleased hits including: Kiss & Tell, Summer Girl, A Date With Destiny, Slip & Fall, Strong(Original version), Strom In My Heart(Original version), Loud Guitars, Fast Cars And Wild, Wild Women, Forever Yours, Small Town Dreams, the list just goes on. A CLASSIC!

From: the game Date: January 13, 2006 at 21:00
Awesome release from Blue tears. Even though I ahve the complete demos it is great to have a proper release from SunCity Records(Great job Dave!!!!). From the opening tracks Long Way Home, Girl Crazy to killer track Rock You to Heaven, power ballad Evidence of Love, Misty Blue. I could go on and on. If you miss the days of early Bon Jovi and Def Leppard (not the shit they are putting out now) then get this in your collection. Rated 10/10.

From: metaladykiller Date: January 6, 2007 at 8:18
Impresionante disco!! 10/10

From: juan carlos Date: March 9, 2007 at 21:36
Buen disco. 8/10

From: hernanHRM/AOR Date: October 14, 2007 at 22:52

From: newscandi Date: July 25, 2008 at 18:29
In fact IMO this is even one point better than their debut. As I said before, bass is poor and drums are metallic, but songs are great. For me, "With you tonight" is the stand out track with most of the material I like. Good balance her between ballads and rockers. Well, only negative thing apart from the bass and drum sound is, some ballads as "Russia tonight" are not my kinda ballad-stuff. Too american sounding, with too much accoustic guitar work.

From: 123charpenay Date: July 31, 2013 at 8:09
superb demo s compilation from this very talented band.ok 4 or 5 songs are very average and the sound ..hum not terrific.i imagine this compilation came from different sessions cause the sound and the production are different song after song.nevertheless ,stay eleven fantastic songs whith a big big bon jovi s influence.some fabulous ballads.for example track 8 "misty blue" is simply phenomenal.
