Ummm sorry my friend Rafo Phoenix but this one for me is the band's weakest effort so far ...not a bad album though but it doesn't contain those "catchy sing-a-long songs" from their previous releases IMO...still some good moments are "Whiskey Tango Foxtrop","Young Blood","In The Night","Church Of Rock"(great title!),"Sweet,Bad & Beautiful" & "Be Gone"...85/100

Huge CD 89/100...Danny Rexon sounds like a juvenile Paul Stanley or as Stephen Pearcy on steroïds....Andy Dawson&Edd Liam are better than ever in their slyness : -The intense guitar solo hot game- short but full of melody..And yes , each song is deeply filled with 80’s HAIR METAL clichés , but all tracks separately are also ready to became Anthems for the young & wild Metalheads !They still don't invent the wheel, and you can find a lot of RATT/MÖTLEY/DEF LEP/M.MALLOY/POISON in their songs but their HAIR METAL is hyper skillful+perfectly crafted...Nonetheless,it’s not only a tribute to the 80s,those tracks aren’t just gimmicks assembly but instead real songs that could stand the test of time easily !Only low point seems to be the words…No 16th century poetry /no deep meaning here just typical sex/party lyrical theme borrowed to CRASHDIËT or HCSS…This album is an immense astonishment…Awesome and much much better than expected and yes , it’s even their best ever…By far!!!!IMHO

The over-the-top production of the first two discs has been scaled back, and on Riot Avenue, the sound is much more bstripped down, although the songs themselves are in the same big-hook/big-chorus style as always. It sounds a bit less Def Leppard and a little more ... I keep hearing things that remind me of Great White's more rockin', non-bluesy songs like "All Over Now" or something. dann Rexon sounds like a Sebastian Bach with Klaus Meine's accent. Overall a good disc, although they group a few songs together in the later stages that sound pretty much the same (tracks 7-9). There are a lot of young bands out there trying to do this retro hair-metal sound, but Crazy Lixx do it better than most.

Although this is not as good as New Religion, I do think this is very good.Favorites are Fire It Up, Downtown, WTF, Heatseeker, In The Night,& Young Blood.

From: HEAVY PARADISE Date: September 1, 2012 at 2:31
Not their best but still a very good heavy rock/sleaze/hair rock album. It has its moments but it's far from the band's SUPERB "new religion" effort.

excellent 3rd step for CRAZY LIXX that establish them as one of the best new bands of the new millenium along with WHITE WIDDOW and WORK OF ART!they seem to have raise a certain sound, style and attitude that is commercial, hard rockin and respects the basic of the genre as they were set back in the day!all the songs are great ,the guitar work astonishing once again and CRAZY LIXX earns the respect of fans that are 3 decades now int the hard rock thing as myself!brilliant!

riot avenue have absoluty nothing in common with the exceptional ruff justice.on ruff justice all is better the songs, the voice of the singer ,the production ,ect ect.nevertheless riot avenue is not a bad record.tracks 4 and 7 are excellent ,and so tracks 1 and 9 have a very catchy choruse.but the other songs.....hum it s very average, nothing special ,nothing extraordinary, not helped by a mediocre and cheap production.for the die hard fans of crazy lixx i recommand the 2018 s reissue cause we have 4 bonus tracks: tracks 13 and 14 are some great acoustic version of fire it up and riot avenue.the two others bonus tracks tracks 12 and 15 red hot red blooded and sympathy are simply the best songs of the record.these songs are some killer songs and the highlight of this realise.it s hard to understand why these two fantastic songs are some bonus tracks.i don t understand.
