Great CD! If Crashdiet have re-launched the sleaze-glam for the 21th Century, swedish Crazy Lixx are a true hair-class metal band: great hooks, big choruses, great guitar work and wonderful production... What more could you ask for? Yes, they aren't very original, sometimes the boys are almost clones of the great hair metal acts from the '80s, but who cares? One of the best CDs of 2007 for this genre! |

After some mp3 this should be the true Crashdiet second release, great music! The second Crashdiet is a big delusion, fucking modern music for MTV,what a shame,a band ruined by the label at their second work ahahah,FUCK!I think the Crazy Lixx will do the same career.... |

Great album. I dont particularly like the first track and the ballad at the end sucks big time. BUT everything in between is just awesome. 'Doc Hollywood', 'Make Ends Meet', 'Want It'...all great. Good riffs big chorus. Love it. Then hyperdrive....Death Row (kick arse solo), Heroes and Do or Die (my fav). Wow. Pure 80s bliss. |

Saludos |

What can I say, get this release right now! This album is very polished, and I'd say they are somewhere between Skid Row, Kiss and Motley Crue. The album doesn't really bring much new to the genre, but it's very solid nonetheless and brings some competition for Crashdiet... healthy competition of course. Only criticism is they've overworked a few songs. I loved the demo of 'Love on the Run', but I was disappointed with how different the chorus is on here, but that's just me. 9/10 amazing |

Buen disco, aunque no una joya (al menos para mi gusto). Prefiero los 'ltimos de Crashdiet o Dirty Penny. En fin, cuesti'n de gustos. Saludos!. mundorock@gmail.com |

Sensational. 'Want it' and 'Make ends meet' are two of the best songs of 2007 and this was one of the best CDs of 2007. Those songs are the most melodic gems I've heard in many years. And with 'Heroes are forever', 'Do or die' and 'Dr Rockter' not far behind this album and band cannot be ignored. HUGELY recommended for any melodic rock / sleaze / glam fan... ever. |

One of the best releases of 2007!!!..pure Glam with plenty of 80's influence (Ratt,Motley and some parts sound like Winger-especially in some choruses-)but also adding the new sound of Hair/Glam Metal!!!..just listen to "Hell Or High Water" or "Heroes Are Forever" to name some...Excelent!!!.90/100 |

Maybe they poison the water in Sweden with Aqua Net Hairpray. What else would explain CRASHDIET and now CRAZY LIXX. As the rest of the world drowns in a smog of X Factor wannabees and bitch slappin, gun totting gangster rappers, it's a relief to know there still remains a place on earth where it's still cool to wear cowboy boots with your jeans tucked inside and call everyone dude. Like CRASHDIET, CRAZY LIXX don't do anything original, but respect is due for trying to resurrect a much maligned genre of music with more passion than some of the original glam bangers managed back in the day. Now where's my suitcase I've a flight to catch......80/100 |

Unbelieveble cd one of the best bands and albums in 2000. Every song just rocks so hard that omg. Sweden is promise land of glam n sleaze bands. Seems that almost every good new band comes from Sweden, lets put like babylon bombs, crazy lixx, hardcore superstar...... |

With the new single ringing in my ears, I went back and revisited the band's debut. Alll the comparisons I made in my comment on the folow-up, New Religion, still apply00early Skid Row, Lynch Mob, Hardline. The songs are inconsistent, though, as for ever "Hell Or High Water" and Boneyard,," there's a big hunk of stinky old cheese like "Dr. Hollywood" or the obvious attempt at a "Livin' On A Prayer"-style story-song, "Tryin' To Make Ends Meet." I think part of the reason we think these modern-day glam bands are so great is because we don't have any contemporary comparisons. Crazy Lixx are one of the best bands doing this sound, for sure, but could they really have stood up in 1988 alongside the bands they're trying to imitate? Sorry, but that's all Crazy Lixx does: imitate bands from 25 years ago, even though they do it well, for the most part. |

That said, I think New Religion is their best album so far. Looking forward to the new one, though. |

This Swedish band is crazy-good if you're into the big, bombastic hair-metal sound of the '80s. For fans of huge hooks, arena-size choruses, and powerful backing vocals, this album is more fun than licking off a supermodel's whipped cream bikini. Sure, it brings absolutely nothing original to the table, but is instead content to simply do awesome justice to the kind of throwback, Sunset Strip poodle-metal designed to be played loud and proud. Preferably from the stereo of an exotic sports car with a scantily-clad vixen writhing suggestively on the hood. If that's not your thing ... well, that's OK, but you're in the minority (on this site, anyway). |
