The band's first choice for the name of this release was "Forever Feral", but Steel Panther already has dibs on that title. After Crazy Lixx's last and most polished effort "Ruff Justice'(2017) "Forever Wild" IMO is a bit of a let/step down and dare I say candy-ass (domesticated) on some tracks. This is a glam/sleaze band isn't it? "Silent Thunder" reminds me of the transition of King Kobra "Ready to Strike' to the keyboard driven "Thrill of a Lifetime". Anybody remember the Iron Eagle soundtrack? I could easily imagine hearing "Eagle", another weak mid tempo track (with real eagle squawks) on that one. Every band has it's sweet-spot, but I think Crazy Lixx lost the line in the sand between being melodic and MHR with attitude/balls. I like a handful of songs, but it might be time for C.L. to get back to basics. Ruff Justice IMO pushed the envelope as far as possible for the band, straddling the polished MHR line but still having a punch.

"ruff justice " their last record was an exceptionnal melodic hard rock realise.a top class hard f m affair."forever wild" follow exactly the same path, and the level of this new realise is always very very high.forget the average and repetive sleaze /glam of their first records.now their songs are more commercial, more catchy, more rich and more smart.absoluty no filler only killer songs with irresistible choruses, riffs and solos.great production ,great singer ,perfect for this kind of music.for sure it s one of the best realise of 2019.the japan import is not essential cause the bonus track n°11 is an acoustic /piano version of the catchy ballad "love don t live here anymore".i m not a big fan of this habit even if the song is good.in bonus track i prefer ,an other song or a live song.now it s a fashion in japan to add systematic a piano or acoustic version of one song of the album.

Cool release!!!...this act is a "hit factory" all over...catchy songs, good riffs, nice vocals..what else could you ask for???...tracks # 1,2,3,4,6,8(nice),9 & 10 are the ones for me...the album reminds me of bands such as Danger Danger...enjoyable stuff indeed...85/100

Excellent music, their best CD to be sure! Ultramelodic, definitely in 80's style. There's also a pleasant joke in the booklet "made in 1988" crossed out [sorry for the spoiler ;-)]
