Jesse's new one is pretty decent, Ace, and really could have been released under the Jackyl name. (And I thought Foot Fetish sucked, and I was a way bigger fan at the time than I am now.) Some of his new songs, like "Lay It On Me," "never Too Old" and "Born To Ride The Lightning" are as good as anything on the last couple Jackyl albums. I guess my problem is that I find his voice and persona just so overbearing nowadays. He dwarfs the songs, whether it's with Jackyl or solo. They just become background noise for Jesse to yell Jesse stuff over, and like with Ted Nugent or Sammy Hagar, more like commercials for a lifestyle brand than plain old rock songs.
