"THE" glam album of the 90's, in an ocean of greyshitgrungesoup; From 1 to 10:GREAT SONGS with references to the "ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW" in the lyrics. It's a SHAME they never did another album but just like JAMES DEAN who died young,I guess this CD is,and will stay a legend for me because it's the only one!If you like FUN ROCK N'ROLL FROM OUTERSPACE: This is for YOU!!!!!!!

From: tomcat Date: August 7, 2001 at 8:49
star star, yeah, still spinning its rounds now and then. cheerz

I'm not sure I've ever heard a worse glam album than this one. Highly unrecommended.

What a shame this album didn't get the recognition that it deserved. This is on my top 10 Glam/Metal choices. "Cowboys in Space", "Groovy Guru Gangster Girl". It's a must if you can find it.

From: Fleece Date: May 15, 2002 at 20:01
Absolutely in a class of it's own. True glam rock, not melodic hard rock hairspray sleaze!

From: TIM Date: May 17, 2002 at 18:42
This one didn't do anything for me. There's about 2 halfway ok tunes that you can live without.

From: Swedish rocker Date: May 19, 2002 at 18:33
Average price on eBay 5$... I would say that it would probably be the best spent 5 bucks ever, if you like hard rock. I don´t think you have to be a glam rock fan to dig this, because the tunes are so freakin´ good. One bad song though: Nervous.

Up there with BBB & HT Mob as the best glam of the 90s. Johnny Holliday would be the new Marc Bolan if he were more prolific and slightly better looking.

From: Stacy Date: June 11, 2002 at 13:00
This album will always be my favorite. Saw them live recently and totally blew me away. More punk now than on the albums....still glam....and Johnnie is better looking than Mark Bolan!!!!!!

From: Cotton C. Lover Date: June 20, 2002 at 4:46
Awesome, awesome, awesome!!!!!! Stacy, you saw them recently???? Where????? When???? Are they still at it???? Heard this was their second album (Go Go Dolls in Love was their first) Hope he's better looking than mark bolan......mark's been dead for over 20 years. lol Heavy rotting, I would think. ;op Great band!!!!!

From: KittyKat Date: August 1, 2002 at 22:38
This album is one of my top favorites...what a great band! Good raunchy sh!t!! hehehe. Unfortunately, I heard Deon and Jay have passed on...lost track of Johnny and TJ. Are they playing with anyone else??? The other guitar player, Kane Daily, (on Go Go Girls) is doing blues now. http://kanedaily.com

From: Date: June 26, 2004 at 12:24
Se merece un 12 sobre 10, el mejor disco de Sleazy/glam que a salido

From: AJ Date: July 21, 2004 at 10:41
I remember the drummer on the second album very well. He used to torment me as a kid. What's up Deon?? Still hanging aroung the Jackson Heights area or what?

From: Geoff Date: September 19, 2004 at 21:31
Got to admit I really like this one. It's catchy, fun and groovy glam hard rock. Recommended, especially for the cheap average price it goes for. A good addition to any glam collection. A lot of tracks here I like - a good solid listen.

From: Cold Ethyl Date: January 5, 2005 at 6:50
Star Star rock!!!!!!! It's a great band with many great songs! Johnnie is a great singer and person! >> Cold Ethyl from www.alicecooper.gr <<

From: CurtisLoew Date: January 5, 2005 at 16:04
I don't understand the glowing reviews here... at all. Weak.

From: Dean Date: January 5, 2005 at 17:58
How can anyone call the Alice Cooper cover on here bad- "nervous." It fits their style perfectly. Total throwback to 70's glam. These guys are a blast. Not your typical 80's glam but that's the charm of it.

From: cook_jaime Date: January 24, 2005 at 11:32
I had never even heard of these guys. I got their name off of HH and found the CD for $.99 on Amazon so I picked it up. What a great investment. Very very good album. Definite punk influences. Reminds me a bit of the New York Dolls.

From: Rick Date: March 19, 2005 at 14:00
This is terrible!!!! 3rd rate Rocky Horrow Show combined with Blondie's 1st album production = total garbage. On receipt of my CD I tried to like it but to no avail. It ended up in the dustbin!!!! Sorry if my comments offend but this type of stuff just gives glam a really bad name.

From: glamcityrocks Date: December 30, 2005 at 13:01
Hey Rick get outta hereˇ you're a close metalhead no a real glamsterˇ star star were one of the most underrated bands ever in the sleaze world they arrive late like other acts, just listen and play it loud you will goin crazy, they were one of the real glamsters on the scene, title track says it all and "groovy gangtergirl" is a fuckin' classic they give us a true glam travel, "My Cussinette","TREAsure or Trash"...This is vey sleazy, very glammy, very trashy it's perfect 4 us don't think it mor

From: glamcityrocks Date: December 30, 2005 at 13:13
Other thing, the guitar Jay Hening recorded all the guitar with Demolition 23 and I've seen him playin live and he was a killer, S.S. were a fantastic band and this record still blow my mind after 13 yearz, the problem was with the record industry don't give them a chance to show us how could be good or become in a great band such other like throbs,Smashed gladys with more mane and famous right now, here in Spain I know a few guys that still love this band like me , bye from the glamountins ˇ

From: glamcityrocks Date: December 30, 2005 at 13:44
Just I miss one thing moreˇ Star star were a forerunners of the SCIENCEGLAMFICTIONOUTTERSPACESLEAZEROCK like other band did after them just they opened the door for Warriour soul,Robin black, backyard babies,... this one is for Jay rest in peaceˇ

From: aMetalhead1966 Date: January 11, 2006 at 14:12
Hmmm...This singer on this sucks! Musically,it's not bad,but those Vocals really annoy. Seems a lot of people like this...so that is the way it is.3/10.

From: glamcityrocks Date: February 3, 2006 at 18:14
somebody know if Star Star have a previous album before this. I've heard that they have the first one called like them. the singer isn't annoy he simple rocks like fuck mate!

From: glamjunkie Date: February 5, 2006 at 21:32
glamcityrocks, ... yes, there is another album before this one. it is called "go go girls in love". impossible to find! apprently they will have a new album out soon, although a live album only.

From: glamcityrocks Date: March 6, 2006 at 7:56
Hi again! many thanks for the info, glamjunkie, I will try to find it but I think is imposible. I have visited your web page It's cool, do you still are looking for The Love sells album from Bang gang, I've a copy! email me. Falleneedle@hotmail.com Star star were great and played raw R'n'R.

From: WASP1 Date: June 26, 2006 at 19:22
I liked this one a lot. Real, raw glam sound overall. It came about three years too late.

From: nz_metalhead Date: July 6, 2006 at 22:21

From: BangAnn Date: July 13, 2006 at 4:51
So Great! I see them two days ago live in Greece. They open for Guns n Roses. The best concert I ever see. Star Star was so energy and rock. Keep rocking guys. Johnnie say a new CD in October. Izzy play with Guns too. Star Star & Guns n Roses I never forget.

From: z4roxx Date: December 12, 2006 at 12:48
Sincerely I don t like so much the street/glam genre but this one it’s not bad, pretty good melodies and solid riffs sometimes. Not an awesome work but excellent for the genre and especially for my tastes.

From: nikki_wikked Date: January 27, 2007 at 11:55
Such a fucking great album. Total punky glam in the vein of Queeny Blast Pop or Heart Throb Mob. Science Fiction Boy,Groovy Guru Gangster Girl,Diggy Dragster and The Love Drag Years are all amazing songs. Essential for any self respecting glam fan. www.glambandz.piczo.com

From: hair metal again Date: May 23, 2014 at 8:48
excellent release by STAR STAR back in 92 and if you like your hard rock glammy you must really grab this one asap!the sound & the approach are so true and pure that you ll like it even if you dont dig such releases in general!"science fiction boy","the love drag years","baby shoulda known" and "diggy dragster" are fantastic songs and overall this is brilliant!

From: Auslander Date: October 14, 2021 at 0:37
The great thing about the sleaze glam period is that so many albums were released that I am still "discovering" them now. So this sounds new and fresh to me even though it is nearly 30 years old! Musically, it is like a hard rock Rolling Stones (which makes sense given they are named after a Stones song). But on tracks like the brilliant "Science Fiction Boy" there is a definite Cheap Trick vibe too. Obviously their "look" is heavily influenced by Hanoi Rocks. Hell, blend those three bands together and you have Star Star! Grade A sleaze rock.
