| Eden’s Curse latest release Symphony of Sin is a masterpiece of an album no doubt about it…I wasn’t quite sure what to expect with a new singer and new help on the keyboards as Ale Del Vecchio is one of the top keyboardists in the music but Logue, Koehne and Newdeck pulled this one off without missing a beat! The album doesn’t lack not for blazing riffs blasting from Thorsten Koehne’s guitar and thunderous bass and drums from the other 2 stalwarts of the band Logue and Newdeck. New vocalist Nikola Mijic’s vocals bring the melodic sound out for this album and ties it all together with new keyboardist Steve Williams providing the sound to fill all the gaps. All this said here is the breakdown of the album track by track: 1.Symphony of Sin – The track starts with a long intro from something like a movie soundtrack…can’s say I am a fan of this part but as it breaks into a great series of riffs and keyboard action it settles into a mid tempo song which features Mijic’s strong melodic vocals

| and some great harmony parts by the rest of the band. 2.Break The Silence – Probably my favorite track on the album this one rips from start to end with high energy and what has become a signature sound of Eden’s Curse. The perfect blend of riffs, keyboards and thumping bass. Koehne displays his incredible guitar work on this one so the guitarists out there will want to check it. 3.Evil & Divine – The first single released from the album is a mid tempo rocker with the beginning starting out light and when getting into the chorus raise into a rocker. Has some touches of sound from Angels and Demons sound from it. 4.Unbreakable – Ballad 1 from this album…features some great vocal range by Mijic and perhaps the most radio friendly song on the album. The background vocals blend solidly with Mijic’s and it’s a song that makes you want to tap your feet throughout. Koehne is able to squeeze some short solo riffs into this song without it being overpowering or taking away from the fluidity of

| of this song. For sure this will be a live fan favorite. 5.Fallen From Grace – One of my least favorite tracks on the album here. It’s a slow tempo ballad like song. I do prefer the guitar driven sound so this is no surprise as this is keyboard driven. It would probably also be a radio friendly play. Innately not a bad song just not the particular style I prefer from EC. 6.Losing My Faith – My second favorite song on the album. Uptempo opening and then breaks slowly and then back into a rocker. This has a bit of Dream Theater sound to it to me (Images and Words).really enjoy the lyrical content of this one..a sing along song for sure. 7.Rock Bottom – A classic EC sound that would fit on any of their other albums, Great catchy melody and vocals with a solid mix of guitar and keys. 8.Great Unknown – Great fast paced rocker featuring Newdeck keeping the pace on this one. The keys and guitar on this one blend together well and are sure to delight the ear of the classic rockers out there. 9

| 9.Turn the Page – This one starts out slow and turns in to a very catchy riff and vocal gem. One of those songs that has a perfect blend of all instruments and vocals in one. 10.Sign of the Cross – The intro riff on this one will stick in your head! Mijic takes on a little different sound on this one with more straight ahead vocals (think more JLT) as opposed to the melodic sound he carry’s through much of the album. 11.Wings To Fly – This would have fit squarely in 1991 as hit no doubt. Soaring vocals, upbeat energy filled song that gets your foot tapping and accelerates the heartbeat. Will be a favorite of those who enjoy AOR as well a rock. 12. Devil in Disguise – Thundering drums..check, harder vocals..check, thumping bass..check, Mijic once again changes his voice to fit the song and it sounds good with a little more guttural sound (David Reece style) to it. TK is able to sneak in a great solo about ¾ of the way through this one followed by Williams trading off on the keys. 13.Wh

| 13.Where Is The Love – Nice closing tune for the album starting out light and working its way into heavier sound and ends as mid-tempo melodic rocker that I could see as great acoustic song live as well. Wrapping this up the album while maybe not their hardest album is definitely their most melodic album to date and must have for any true melodic rocker while also holding appeal for most AOR followers as well. This album should be a top 10 release in those markets for 2013. The “Metalmaster” gives it a 9/10!
